Looking awesome! I've been paying attention to this for a while, and it just keeps getting better. You mentioned you don't love the central column on the hood. I think it may look better if the upper portion was angled down and/or lowered. Also, trying 7x3x2 panels instead of 11x3x2 panels may help you match the concept drawings a bit better. I had noticed you switched from the Porsche rims to the Chiron rims, presumably without LEGO hubs for either solution. Have you had issues with either solution sliding off the axle? And I would love to see a pictures if able. Good luck!

Wow!! Don't know how I missed this a week ago when you posted it, but it is super cool!! I'm not the biggest fan of tanks, but I love this one. You put so many complex mechanisms and functions in this model, and they are all so smooth that's it's borderline stunning (especially the unfolding to Howitzer mode). Congrats, and love the video!!

I too hope the Porsche arches are not printed, but it may be possible to remove the printing from them if they are in fact not stickers. I've seen YouTube videos where they rub Brasso metal polish on the parts, which removed the printing and left the parts looking as good as new. That's my plan if it does turn out they are printed on (after I try it out on parts I don't care about). Not sure how some purists would feel about this, but it seems like a viable option.

Looking really good!!! I'm in love with the front. It is absolutely stunning. However, you may want to fill in some of the holes in the new hood update, but that could just be me being picky before I've seen the rest of the body. Keep up the good work!! -
I think the Technic Theme is really coming into its own and had really shown some big improvements in recent times. The sets look a lot better and more realistic, especially with the introduction of teaming up with Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen (for the Porsche 911 and Bugatti Chiron). The B-models have appeared lackadaisical at times and some of the functions have not been perfect, but I have been really impressed with those functions for their complexity as the Technic theme begins to really branch out. I agree with @Erik Leppen that some of the models like 42070 were too large and needed a bit more work. However, I think we need to remember that all LEGOs sets are designed for children (except maybe for the Porsche and Chiron) who probably don't care as much about what the B-model is or whether it looks too much like A-model. TLG designs to give children a fun building experience as well as fun playing with the sets afterwards. I am happy with what the Technic sets have been (for the most part), and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Spectacular work!! I've been waiting for this beast for a while, and it definitely has not disappointed. All of those small details like the microwave and all the lighting makes this work of art one of the best MOCs I've ever seen. Quick question, have you considered adding more XL motors or anything else to make the drivetrain more robust and work better for all 4 gears?

Very nice. I think my Class Xerion tires should get ready for some new hubs. I currently do not have the Porsche wheels, but I would prefer to use them without the traditional wheel hubs. Does anyone know if there is a way to modify these turntable wheel hubs or something else for the Porsche wheels? Thanks in advance.

[MOC] F14A Tomcat
ginger-snapped replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Anybody else's jaw drop when they saw this for the first time? This is one of the most amazing creations I have seen in a while! I cannot wait for a video to show off all of the functions. -
Another spectacular model. Amazing functions for a MOC of this size. There are very creative solutions in this excavator, and it looks like you will have a ton of run playing with it.

This MOC is just breathtaking. It is one of the few trucks that actually has beautiful aesthetics. I am still amazed each time I look at the pictures.

This is one amazing creation. Your MOC looks so much like the real version from the movie. It is a beast!

I agree with most of what has already been stated. This is way overpriced and the functions are subpar in my opinion. Could have been an interesting parts donor set in terms of rare/unique parts if it cost less. Still, it seems to be more complex than previously thought, so it may end up been a good learning set.
