  7. Back in late 2015, The Brothers Brick hosted a contest where fans were asked to modify or build their own iteration of 75099 Rey's Speeder, however wild or crazy as they wished. They didn't have to be Star Wars themed, just based upon that set aesthetically. Flickr - TBB Pimp Rey's Speeder Contest Here are five of my most favorite entries: Apat's Racing Speeder by Andrew JN M-Tron Speeder by Pico van Grootveld Nepture Speeder by Marco Bat Speeder! by Roman Ed Peppers 'Misery' by DW Studios - MI
  8. As of now, first and foremost, Retrofuturism! There's a lot to take away from with each subset, but the genres that interest me the most are those based upon the futurism of the early twentieth century, Dieselpunk, Decopunk, and Raypunk particularly. Besides that, I also take light interests into DC Comics, Kaiju Cinema, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Tron Legacy, Lego's Classic Space themes... There are others that at one time or another I once took an interest in, I just can't remember them all immediately.
  9. Mortal Engines - Salthook by Alexis Dos Santos Hover Cars by Tim Henderson Ice Penguin Excursion by Chris Perron I love this one, primarily for its skyscraper-like profile and that gold framed, multistory window.
  10. That last one by Nouvilas has to be my favorite of the three. Another excellent selection @LegoModularFan!
  11. The other day, I discovered this one Lego blog through Instagram and started browsing around, discovering a few builders and creations I haven't seen featured on this topic or elsewhere before. ArchBrick - Brick Architecture Daily (Instagram - archbrick00) Here are a few architectural creations I came across there that caught my eye: Lego Christmas Village by Nolphi Plays Skyscraper Office by /zux Skyscraper by ilive Federal Palace of Nova Helvetica by InHisLegoElement * * This is a WIP by the way that I really don't know what to make of, but it is HUGE. A most interesting selection you've gathered there, I'm intrigued by the SNOT brickwork on that last one!

  14. Does anyone think that a post-disaster search and rescue subtheme would be too dire of a subject for the City theme? I was playing around with an idea for a line of sets focused upon the recovery of survivors of a large scale earthquake, but after thinking about it for awhile... I don't know, perhaps there's some way to make such a premise work? After all, the Coast Guard subtheme will have civilians being rescued from dire straits all the time. Perhaps @jonwil may have a point regarding subthemes like that, hence its absence from City's lineup all this time.
  15. Wait, pirate packs? Am I missing something?
  16. The Brothers Brick - Enter the grid with LEGO Ideas 21314 Tron: Legacy [Review]
  17. I'm surprised we haven't seen any since that subtheme's first appearance, as it will have been ten years since then come 2019. Well, perhaps then we may see its return?
  18. Those are some really fun finds, especially that last one with its Tutor styling!
  19. Wow! Who knew, I mean, how did you come across these? Interesting, but I don't get the point of them exactly.
