Dang, sweet find you've spotted there! I believe that is only the second time I've ever seen a hairpiece recolored for purposes other than minifigures, the first time being Sabine's hairpiece recolored in green for a bonsai tree in the Ninjago City set.

But what's the point? Not only do specialized heads look wrong geometrically paired with the rest of a minifigure's other body parts, minifigures of human characters with such heads look like aliens alongside normal figures. It's all about compatibility, ya know?

I think this has to be my favorite of all the Fallen Kingdom sets, primarily for both its truck build and the new dual molded legs on Zia. But, while I think the build for this set is vastly superior to 2015's closely related variant, I just don't care much for this set's coloring of the Tyranosaurus.

Latest news about Lego animal moulds
Digger of Bricks replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Perhaps someone may have already suggested this here before, but a small, one-piece animal mold I could see possibly getting in the near future would be for a Red Fox. Maybe with a future CMF archetype, perhaps?- 6,026 replies

The new trapper hat is great, but I do hope we soon see it recolored in either brown or tan. By the way, the mammoth's body looks to be not very repurposable, particularly for an elephant.

What would you want from a new Lego monorail system?
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That's pretty much what I would want from a new system, track that would more resemble a beam, allowing for either configuration. Honestly, it's hard to think of the old system as a monorail really. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly! I think a reboot should slowly set up preceding origin stories for all the essential members of the League set throughout the 1940's and WWII, eventually leading up to an assembly based upon New Fronter set in the mid-1950's/early 1960's! Sorry, I just had to add that last part up there! -
What was the last movie you watched?
Digger of Bricks replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Watched Justice League last night and Wonder Woman about two nights eariler. While Wonder Woman was a fairly fine movie, the choppy editing in Justice League just showed too much to try to ignore. While there's a lot to say about it that probably has been discussed by many already, one of the little things that annoyed the heck out of me was its oversaturated color scheme. I know many people complain about the drab visual aesthetic of most DCEU films so far, but I thought that was some seriously ridiculous overcompensation! -
Unikitty! 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly, a freeform, Batman themed Creator set! Speaking of such, how about a Green Lantern bucket? That would be even more fitting for such a set! -
Sweet! Best of luck to you!

Nah, I think Lego could perfectly get by without specialized heads, primarily to stay within the aesthetic the Scooby Doo theme had set. Otherwise, they'd be just hideous looking.

At least a constraction line with more of an 80's vibe and less of a Giger-esque one would be different for a change.

I think someone either working for CN or TLG is pushing the envelope. Small exceptions in licensed properties are one thing, but within in-house lines? -
Oh yes, I am aware of that, but I meant that this one is your first full-sized, original design!

One of them is in military camo? The only set I'm particularly interested in is the brick bucket, but only in the hopes Lego will end up adopting that type of set for other playthemes, licensed or otherwise. -

There just has to be another exclusive; otherwise, the Orca and Caveman figures must have belonged to a scraped playset. We've already had two canceled sets that we know of for this year by the way.
