  1. It doesn't help though when that new theme is yet another licensed franchise...
  2. Maybe you should build something.
  3. For those who'd prefer to read than watch videos, here's @tormentalous's analysis with some teaser stills: The Brick Fan - The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Teaser Trailer Breakdown
  4. As of now, I don't know if we'll be seeing any representation of other "boy-centric" playthemes and genres in this movie beyond post-apocalyptic Bricksburg anyway, that is, if we're to presume that the majority of the sequel will be taking place in the various worlds of the "Sis-Star System".
  5. My latest hunch is that the various planets in the "Sis-Star System" are not going to represent particular preexisting Lego themes, but instead be the embodiment of different facets of the personality and/or interests of Finn's sister. My other latest hunch, regarding that character particularly, is that she's going to be this movie's Lord Business, though I don't think she'll be nearly as antagonistic. If that may be the case, then Sweet Mayhem may be her henchwoman/right-hand woman, making her this movie's Bad Cop/Good Cop.
  6. Another medieval beauty from you once again! I just love its Earth Blue roof and Earth Green framed windows! Edit: My gosh, I just noticed now all the pirate chests you've incorporated into its exterior detailing!
  7. While I did prefer @LegoFjotten's take for its overall oomph and choice of windshield, I do admire yours for its more complex construction techniques, particularly for its grill, boattail rear, and rear fenders!
  8. Oooh, I really like the choice of coloring on the upper floor of this structure, particularly for both the roof and the siding! Earth Green and Bright Green (?) pair quite pleasingly together for the siding specifically!
  9. Still, given the fact that Chris Pratt's career took off shortly after The Lego Movie, I'm somewhat expecting some tongue-in-cheek nods to some of the other successful franchises he's been associated with since then.
  10. The other option could possibly be sets based upon rides that the kidnapped heroes construct from building materials they find while they're over in the Sis-Star System. In other words, they'd be a unique blend of "Pink" Lego and their own personal building styles. The official synopsis for the sequel suggests one of the worlds in the "Sis-Star System" is a "musical" planet. Working upon that, I almost wonder if these worlds are instead based upon individual facets of the sister's personality, rather than old and new Lego themes.
  11. This could be a more likely possibility, given the recent statement the designer of the upcoming Ideas Pop-up Book set had mentioned regarding their reasons for the rejection of the Jaguar E-Type project.
  12. Perhaps, designers have made a new mold to be first introduced within some other theme like you suggested, but it was particularly designed in mind for the Voltron pilots instead. That way, the Ideas set wouldn't have been the one to premiere the mold. Isn't that how it went with the Twelfth Doctor's hairpiece? Didn't it first premier in the Dimensions pack, only to later be utilized for the Ideas set?
  13. Actually, this trailer still from @tormentalous over on The Brick Fan shows what looks like to be TWO shades of blue instead, one of them possibly being Dark Turquoise like you said. I've also noticed a recolor of a particular Nexo Knights slope part in white from the still too, along with what looks like to be a Trans-Pink recolor of the TIE Fighter canopy part: Oh yeah, I do wonder if Batman does indeed have his own ride at any point in the movie, such as one similar to what you've just suggested. For that matter, what ride do you suppose Benny has? Perhaps some sort of Wastelander. Wastelander! WASTELANDER!!!
  14. But still, shoehorning them in would just be awkward, since audiences unfamiliar with the characters introduced from that spin-off would be completely unfamiliar with the relationship dynamics they have with Batman that were set-up in The Lego Batman Movie. But, we at least know that Channing Tatum is returning as Superman in this sequel, to whatever degree that may be.
  15. Sure, but audiences who've not seen The Lego Batman Movie may not be familiar with those unique incarnations of the characters besides Batman. With maybe the exception of Alfred, Barbara and Dick Grayson were pretty divergent from their archetypical incarnations that most people are familiar with.
  16. By the way, what preexisting part do you guys suppose will be repurposed for the Lion pilots' helmets?
  17. Anything related to Lego for this is most unlikely to happen at this point, but I thought I'd just share this here:
  18. By the way, has anyone here figured that Sweet Mayhem and Tiffany Haddish's character Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi may be this movie's Bad Cop/Good Cop and President/Lord Buisness, respectively? That is to say, could Sweet Mayhem be the Queen's right hand woman? Come to think of it, perhaps The Lego Batman Movie may not be accounted for at all in this sequel, just as so to not confuse possible audiences who've seen the first movie but neither of the cinematic spinoffs. No, please don't say that!
  19. I'd like to know what shade of blue is seen utilized on Sweet Mayhem's spacecraft, as I can't tell whether it's Dark Azure, Medium Azure, or Dark Turquoise.
  20. By the way, what shade of blue does Sweet Mayhem's spacecraft seem to have? Does it look like Medium Azure, Dark Azure, or Dark Turquoise to anyone? If it's Medium Azure, then it looks like we'll be getting a new recolor for those arch pieces first introduced for the wheelwells of 2016's Expert Volkswagen Beetle, which are seen on the sides of her ship.
  21. This is more of a small technicality, but, why does it look like that Batman is a resident of this post-apocalyptic Bricksburg? It seems like he's been stuck there all this time after the Duplo invasion, instead of residing in Gotham City. If so, how does The Lego Batman Movie fit into all that?

  23. I know the post-apocalyptic set-up has been seen so many times elsewhere, but, I just couldn't help but think that the BvS KnightMare sequence alone inspired that element in the sequel when watching the teaser.
