  1. I ordered Darth Vader, then saw the instructions online where it seems it doesn't use the constraction torso frame that the newer figures use. Is it less sturdy? Is it easy to redo it to fit onto a torso frame? I saw someone mention C3-PO was among the list of upcoming TLJ constraction figures, but I couldn't find any such list. Who else is coming soon? I've got constraction fever! If they're going to release these in good guy/bad guy pairs, it's going to limit what they release since one guy might not be as popular as the other guy.
  2. A bunch of these great looking parts look just like parts I've seen official Lego versions of like the constraction torso frames. Which came first, custom or official Lego? Are there any custom constraction heads that fit with Design ID 47326? Also, I've seen there's a company that'll custom 3D print your own head to fit a minifigure or big figure based on a front and side photo. Kinda neat.
  3. Are Constraction heads and torsos ever available on B&P? As of now, can't find any heads, torso fronts, or shinguard shells. I put together a skeleton, and would like to put stuff on it. Anyone ever 3D print their own Constraction head? For parts lists, I look at BrickSet and use Lego Digital Designer to text search a part by description, then Export BOM to see the Design ID and also use LDD to see fit of unfamiliar parts.
  4. Can't wait to see the next Ninjago season! Looking forward to seeing a new character and if it'll be another fighter or background support.
  5. I'm guessing an M&M dispenser would involve some round hole Technic bricks and round connectors. Maybe some 2x2 flat tiles too.
  6. Now that I decided to buy some of these, I can't find the ones I want in stores and they appear to be cleared out for good. I keep seeing K2-SO, Finn, Erso, Rey, Donnie Yen & his machine gun partner. Brickseeker says Walmart has Death Trooper cheap, but it kinda doesn't look good. Do they usually release the more sought after ones later in the year? Stormtrooper Commander looks nice. Phasma looks nice too, but not sure if I appreciate the character enough to try to buy it online. Boba Fett and Darth Maul would be reflex action purchases. Already ordered Darth Vader. I'll buy Obi Wan if I find it at a good price.
  7. I'm talking about using Lego for household purposes, not recreating a household item with Lego. I'm also considering making some sort of mirror mount so I can position two mirrors to look in my ear. I will need magnification mirrors. I'm thinking about using constraction jumbo ball & cup pieces.
  8. What did you build that's not meant to be a toy or model, but to serve a general household purpose? I made an iPhone stand to let me use it without holding it while it's charging, an iPad speaker amplifier that works, but isn't pretty. I'm considering making a nutcracker for sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds and an iPhone stand for use with the magnification feature (good for looking at Design IDs in tiny font on parts) or to use in lieu of scanning a receipt.
  9. If you know the Lego set number, you can either go to http://lego.brickinstructions.com/en/search/general/new or BrickSet and look at the instructions page that lists the parts or in BrickSet, click on "Pieces" and see the parts, but sometimes it doesn't list parts not available on Lego's Bricks & Pieces. The part numbers from Lego instructions is the Element ID which includes color information.
  10. I think dual molded arms are Design ID 16360 and dual molded legs are 21019. They are significantly more expensive, but I suppose the new mold equipment has to be paid for. I didn't see more than several offerings of each.
  11. I saw dual molded arms Robin torso under Design ID 16360. It might be the same one I already have from Lego Dimensions Lego Batman Movie Story Pack.
  12. I'm not a youngster, but am only now starting to use various Technic pieces while attempting to make a rubberband motor from a YouTube video. I'd suggest buying some conical gears, long cross axles with end stops, long Technic beams, fork, gears, etc. from Bricks & Pieces and learning how to transfer horizontal motion to vertical motion, etc. A few nice examples are in the Lone Ranger Constitution train's gatling gun and the winter holiday train's rotating xmas tree. To me, this type of engineering motion is more fun than just building a model for display. The Technic car model with working steering wheel is nice to teach parallel parking.
  13. It's not accurate to suggest leaving 5 spaces in between for brick built tracks. It's more like 4.5 spaces, which can be done via using the 1x2 plate with one stud on top under one side and regular 1x? plates under one side, then flat tiles on top for each side. I'm now looking into using 4510 "1x8 plate with rail" with 4x4 plates. The train wheels bottoms will contact the surface rather than the part of the wheel that would contact normal train tracks. It's a balance between using bricks for tracks where the bricks can be used for other purposes vs. using regular tracks that can only be used as tracks. I'm leaning towards regular tracks.
  14. View Page Source, then you can see the jpg URL. I suspected the masks would be two-piece since it looked like it wrapped under the chin tightly. I'd like to see what the top part looks like without the bottom portion. The bottom mask alone looks better than the bandana masks, and might not interfere with some armor. I like the ZX masks the best.
  15. I've been using Lego Digital Designer to either preview a part to get a 360 degree view to see if it's what I need or use the Export BOM to get the Design ID after locating the part I need in LDD. With the samurai armor, I think I didn't think I found it because I think the image is of the back, so I thought it wasn't the armor with the opening at the collar area to accommodate ninja hoods. Too bad B&P doesn't let you rotate the view like PAB does.
  16. Is anyone from Croatia here? Anyone going to use Hot Dog Vendor's legs and flesh muscle torso to make Mirko Crocop Filipovic? I wonder how it'd look, maybe with a brown Zane square fro.
  17. I saw a YouTube vid of a Lego technic beam gear rubberband wind-up motor, and I'm going to attempt to make one, then try to make one that'll fit inside a 6 wide train chassis. I know it's no replacement for Power Functions, but it'll be a fun learning process.
  18. I also prefer not to deal with batteries and potential leakage mess. Is there a currently available cheap wind-up motor part?
  19. What were the Design IDs of the samurai armor, black skeletons, black sword, gold sword? I gave up trying to look for the samurai armor after always seeing it out of stock. I currently have red Nadakhan armor for my samurai helmet/mask combo. I tried to make the Nadakhan sword, but with the axe blades on, it's gigantic and hard to hold, and the handle is too short.
  20. I noticed a bunch of Nexo Knights torsos that weren't available before. Didn't find anything I wanted... except for red visors.
  21. Someone could use Retro Spaceman's helmet to make Chichi from Dragon Ball.
  22. Those armored torsos are nice. Reminds me of Dragon Ball Z Saiyan armor.
  23. Do new parts from CMF series often end up in new sets? I kinda like the Buck Rogers space helmet, that seems to be dualmolded. I think Retro Spaceman will be the only one I chase in this series. The brickseeker website said a Walmart here had a ton, but didn't see any on the floor yesterday. Lego Store had one open box.
  24. The minidoll figures seem more like the Teen Titans cartoon than regular minifigures.
  25. RE: spinoff, Jay is the goofiest, so he could pull it off. A distant second is Zane. Not a fan of Dareth. Ronin's attitude is not suitable to carry a spinoff. I'd like to see specials where Ninjago crosses over with Nexo Knights or Chima, etc. or significant City characters cameo in Ninjago.
