  1. What about staining with mango juice or grape juice, spaghetti sauce?
  2. Holy smokes! Comic book Capt America & Ironman look great! Jean Grey too.
  3. I have Clay from Battle Suit and Knighton Rider's guard and both have feet with very loose clutch power, especially considering these are very brand new.
  4. Anyone see any nice variations of the Avengers jumbo Giant-Man design? I finally got the pieces to build my own Giant-Man, but am fine tuning the colors (red & black rather than original mostly black). I'm thinking about adding shoulder armor and maybe some sort of jet backpack.
  5. I'm not talking about the NFC reader, but the gray plate in unusual size and shape. Since coming back to Lego recently, I understand the flat pieces are called plates and the thick ones are called bricks.
  6. Are there any nice examples of good alternate uses of the Lego Dimensions gray NFC reader plate where Story Packs come with one too?
  7. Not sure if Sharpie is safe long term for Lego. I remember reading something about the chemicals in Sharpie ink potentially damaging CD-R or DVD-R where they said Staedtler Lumocolor is supposed to be safer.
  8. Again, I did not suggest live action Ninjago. I meant they could copy and paste a Ninjago TV story into a non-Lego live action show or movie and it'd be normal sci-fi/fantasy and probably better than some live action garbage I've watched. I'm saying Ninjago doesn't seem dumbed down for 1st graders to watch.
  9. Clear coat is supposed to protect the colored paint. I painted eyes and mouth for my own Giant-Man/Ant-Man face. I didn't dare attempt to paint the rest of the face mask. From painting plastic models, the Tamiya Acrylic paint color looks different wet vs. dry. Wet looked royal blue, but dry looked midnight navy blue.
  10. I'm not suggesting a live action Ninjago. I'm saying from what I've watched so far, the stories and characters have me where I can't wait to see what happens next and it's not feeling like nonsense kiddie fluff cartoon stories. It seems like the stories can be appreciated by viewers of any age.
  11. I used Tamiya Acrylic paint on a light gray piece via brush and it seems like it's fading and won't likely stay for long. Didn't use any clear coat because I wanted to see how the black would stay put.
  12. After skipping around and watching most of 4 different seasons, I feel like Ninjago the TV show's stories are better than the average cartoon and could be adapted to a non-Lego live action show or movie without problems.
  13. Today I saw a Lego fan site asking visitors if they noticed a drop in quality in recent CMF series like clutch power, seams, color vs. minifigures from sets. It made it sound like fans have noticed a drop in quality from the China factory output. My Lego Dimensions Supergirl hair is too loose and comes off easily when placing on and off the NFC reader. A newly bought online PAB hair piece fits snuggly on a very old head, but fits very loosely on a new online PAB head. Weird. I just tried using Batman CMF Catman to make Wolverine and when I swapped the head, a non-CMF head was an extremely tight fit on the Catman torso neck.
  14. I only started buying Nexo Knights after I watched the official Lego YouTube free episodes. The colors and armor look great. I'm now having Ninjago fever after binge watching episodes on cable on demand and playing Lego Dimensions.
  15. Thanks for the many still shots. I might need to buy a Ninjago mech.
  16. TV Jay is my favorite character because he's always overreacting and being a worry wart. His hair is also nice along with Cole's. Movie Jay could do without freckles and weird hair and toned down personality.
  17. Surfer was already in Series 2. Repeat already?
  18. Is it possible some CMF 17 characters were shown in today's Ninjago Movie trailer?
  19. I'm almost done making my jumbo Ant-Man/Giant-Man. B&P didn't have the face available for sale, so used Tamiya Acrylic, and should have used a toothpick instead of my smallest brush.
  20. Weird that it seems Zane is stuck with the village idiot look on his face the whole time. Nice to see CMF series characters in the movie. Garmaddon looks pretty good. I hope the emphasis isn't snotty teenager hates parent.
  21. Thanks. I listened to sample clips on iTunes, but hard to tell since they seem to play just the beginning, so I didn't recognize the Lego Dimensions Ninjago medley songs. They picked some good songs for the game and they should give them credit by showing the credits so I can find the songs on iTunes.
  22. I'm not suggesting they do like live action GI Joe and replace all the characters from the first movie in the beginning of the sequel. Lego has other themes that could be represented like Castle, armored space marines, etc. If they emphasized some new characters, that's that much more merchandising revenue, unless they just re-use the same characters but give them slightly different outfits and hope fans buy those. I prefer more screen time for the Lego people rather than live action kid.
  23. Can someone recommend some fine tunes from this series? The composers seem pretty good.
  24. I would be fine if the sequel moved on away from the original human family and focused on a different set of Lego minifigures. It would be a chance to try to popularize characters other than Wyldstyle, Benny, Emmett.
  25. https://twitter.com/lego_games/status/829112648490950657 Two new pics. Garmaddon wears a cloth bib as he chases Wu wearing a cloth skirt in the forest. Lloyd looking like Anakin Skywalker holding a black and green ninja hood. Do they make dual molded headwear?
