I found a gift shop at the mall that had old Series 15 CMF, and was able to find the Golden Winged Warrior, which I'm trying to think of a way to make him into armored Thor. The helmet, armor, and wings are too good to not be re-used in other sets.

Help with identifying parts/sets!
BubbaFit45531 replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Is there a flat panel part that has a connection to fit a cross axle? I'm using 11946 & 11947 with 4626667 & 4593557, but the surface area is too small. I'm trying to use the shortest CCBS bones to clamp flat panels to deflect sound from my iPad with Otterbox case on. Thanks. Is there also a concave panel that has either a snap hole or cross hole at the long edge? I'm looking for something to connect to a 3x5 Technic "L" beam. -

Yes, 87082 is the part! Thanks. You're a wizard! With that piece + a 2M snap, I can make my own "T" triple snap. -

At first, I was looking to see if a "T" piece existed that has a snap at each end, then I found I have a piece that's like a double ended piece with a snap at each of the two ends and a snap hole at the center oriented 90 degrees. What's the Design ID of this piece? I can't find it among the parts I ordered, so not sure where it came from. I'm using it to attach L & R Technic panels to the back of a Constraction torso frame. -
"I think you're projecting a bit about the actors." One of them literally said something like they assembled the best cast ever and they were going on and on about how great they were at ad libbing as if they believed they were so funny. They were really proud of themselves.

If the Lego Ninjago Movie isn't doing well in the box office, that's what happens when they alienate the Ninjago fanbase and turn everything upside down and bring in Hollywood hot shot voices. The TV show on Cartoon Network is more accessible than a movie, so acting like the movie will increase viewship of the TV show seems puzzling. I tried watching the YouTube videos of Comic Con panels of the voice actors and couldn't handle watching them acting like they were raising the bar for Ninjago. I can't wait for the next season of Ninjago on TV.

I saw from a video that making new molds for pieces is really expensive. Maybe they shouldn't make so many weird ugly hair piece molds that very few people will want like the Ninjago Movie hair pieces.

The Mixels Gundam and bigger Pacific Rim look really nice.

Were there any pictures showing what's going on with the new Lloyd hoodie that also has hair? Is that a dual molded piece? Is the hoodie a separate piece from the hair? -

$4.39 for the chain link sword hilt tassle on B&P! Very expensive. Also, didn't see any new ninja hoods available. -
Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
BubbaFit45531 replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I'm glad they addressed the fans' displeasure with the Ninjago Movie redesigned faces and hair. They look awful. I'm guessing the original Ninjago creators were disturbed by the changes to their characters as well. I tried to watch the Comic Con Ninjago Movie panel video with the voice actors, and had to turn it off after a couple of minutes. The idea of these "big name" celebs "sprucing up" the Ninjago world is very off putting. The Ninjago TV show had many seasons of success thanks to the original creative team, not from Hollywood big shots. The Hands of Time season finale's cliffhanger was very significant, so when they made it sound like the next season will have a time jump is disappointing if they won't adequately show what happened and how Sensei Wu got back to the normal time.- 4,591 replies

I will buy Boba Fett and Ep 1 Darth Maul for sure! I'll buy the Stormtroopers if I see them dirt cheap. -

I hope it's not actually Boba and Vader BrickHeadz, which I'd never buy. I'd buy a Boba Constraction for sure, and recently already bought Darth Vader. -
Household items built out of Lego?

Today, I saw a pic of a new Ninjago movie maker set and the stand to mount a smartphone looked nice. I didn't see a set # so not sure if I'll be able to find instructions for it later.- 15 replies

What's the Design ID for a regular minifigure torso without arms? I want to order the arms and hands separately from the torso so I can get the exact colors I want. Is that possible? -

Lego Digital Designer can output an Excel file parts list with color pictures, quantity, and Design ID via Export BOM. -
I think he said the cross axle slides off too easily so prefers a ball to attach via snap instead of cross axle. They do make Mixel balls with cross axle end and with snap end. Also, I'm wondering how effective it is to 3D print these intricate parts considering the obstacle from supports and rafts, as well as material shrinkage. I'm guessing there's quite a bit of post-printing sanding and cutting to do.

The Ninjago Movie CMF Shark soldiers look like they'd be good for Metal Gear Solid or GI Joe type characters.

Did you design the 3D models from scratch? Export the model from some software? 3D scan? Use photogrammetry to make the 3D models? I imagine making the cups for the balljoints is difficult.

The first half CMF reveal had none I was interested in. The second half reveal had Kendo Kai, Zane, a Shark soldier to make Metal Gear Solid Snake, maybe ninja Lloyd. -
I saw Toys R Us still had Disney CMF, so bought a Syndrome just for an alternate universe DBZ Vegeta hair piece. So far, it's the closest thing I could find for official Lego DBZ Saiyajin hair. The color and shape are still not right, but better to buy now than regret later when it's unavailable.
