Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

That set also had the chunky space wheels and the digger bucket which would skew the price per piece. Weird set that one. Let’s target the younger kids while at the same time let’s give parents a mild coronary when they get to the till. I know that’s business in general but it was so obvious with that one. -

The cost of the Disney/Marvel licence will sap a truckload from the budget. Bigfigs do cost a fair amount, and two of them will bump up the price to a degree. -

The closer I look at the images the better I feel. New pieces and reused pieces from other lines. I like all the figs other than Riddlers bizarrely sideburned head. Not sure why the recoloured top hat is there. -
It’s not a spoiler, the set has been officially revealed with that information.

Are those new pieces in the Freeze set along with a remoulded stud shooter? My apologies if they have appeared elsewhere. Not sure how I feel about Clayface. Mmm. Otherwise I really like the sets, even the 4+ ones. Finally Shazam is here! At long last. -

Do you think that the Olympic archers hair piece would work for a younger Jim or would it be too bright? He’s been portrayed as being brown and ginger, it’s just whether the hair/moustache difference would look right. I quite like the Knightfall-period Jim you have going on there. The BTAS look is achievable from that. -

Only if the outfit demands it. In this instance it is a nice idea as Gordon is synonymous with his greatcoat. In this particular instance the print is a little off, so either they botched the print entirely, or it’s a test run and this is a one-off. Either way it’s not the best look but not disastrous and people have remedied it. Is it the wrong kind of moaning for you? -

Gordon looks like he’s wearing a long cardigan. For some reason the angle Batman is photographed from makes him look out of shape and jolly. -

These sets haven’t even been officially announced yet, and no leaks of the builds have appeared. The only things leaked are minifigures and parts of minifigures. If you have instagram, that’s a good place to start. -
The offset head makes it look really odd, hopefully front on it will look better. Not sure it’s the right hair, but still it’s Sirius.

Sounds like Lego gets it on the third (fourth outfit, third iteration) strike; Gordon dressed as he should. The hair fits quite nicely with the image of Jim stood on the roof of GCPD, waiting next to the Batsignal with the wind in his hair. Not that he will be doing that in the comics anytime soon. -

That’s a shame, would have been ideal. I think you’re right, with a ghost dog already in production and his absence here, Zero’s chances of appearing now are well, zero.- 961 replies

Currently he’s big on Harry Potter, so that’s my summer money buried I’ve got to admit that I would have preferred Zero to the present, but it won’t be me who will get it.- 961 replies

My son is 5 and he is going to absolutely melt when he sees them. He loves TNBC, long legs won’t bother him and he’s your target market. Frozone legs going on Captain Cold.- 961 replies

Molten Man on his own is better than the entire Endgame wave. Those are some really nice sets. You lucky Marvel guys, at least you’ve got some decent sets this year. Come on, DC designers, give us a corresponding anniversary wave! -
I really like the use and reuse of parts in this build. It shows an intelligent appreciation of colour and imagery. Absorbent and yellow and porous, long live Spongebob!

Welcome! The source of the leaks - other than the leakers - is shrouded in mystery and dark magic. It tends to start with one leaker being viewed with scepticism, with confidence growing as their rumours get corroborated by other leakers. As for the list, check out the first post on page one.

I like the alternate face and the new Arkham suit is growing on me -
Toymaster can be pretty good if there is one near you. My local one is really helpful and even sort the figs out for you, so all you have to do is ask for the ones you want.

While it’s an impressive set it’s not for me. I can’t believe Disney would make demands of a business partner at the expense of the customer. Seems very unlike them to be so cutthroat *satire*

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
RedHoodPug replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Honestly I would rather have Batman anniversary sets that reflect his eighty years of memorable events including various heroes and villains in noteworthy scenarios, and DC sets that didn’t rely on Batman carrying them. We’ve had the latter before. I own them. I am more than aware that the sets are not intended to make Batman look less than capable. My apologies if the humour was too subtle. But from the perspective of an adult who has been a Lego and Batman fan for some thirty years, I found myself for the very first time disappointed with the set descriptions of an entire wave. I am always grateful for new characters, regardless of their visual quality. I am always grateful that a brand dear to me has been representing another brand equally dear to me for over ten years, which is why I do my upmost to support the line. At no point prior to now on here or anywhere have I voiced my own personal disappointment like this, so apologies if it appears that the sets aren’t good enough for me like I am some sort of spoiled child. Apparently providing negative feedback is not acceptable now. Part of the appeal of Batman is his ability to overcome insurmountable odds while simultaneously refusing help when offered. The current set descriptions do not reflect this, hence my disappointment. Part of the appeal of a Shazam figure for the first time outside of a comic-con exclusive in a set is the possibility that he would come with Billy Batson, Black Adam, or given his future movie appearance, Dr Sivana. The current set descriptions do not reflect this, hence my disappointment. Again my apologies for being truly disappointed in Lego for the first time in my life.
