  1. As the only two ways of getting him, I would say paying ten times plus what you normally would for a minifigure that you would be nervous about handling/displaying, nor a pseudo-chibi version with an inappropriate head, are not normal.
  2. Holy guacamole Batman! That piece count is huge if true. Nearly twice the size of the Tumbler. If it’s the same scale that’s one hefty vehicle. Or as others have said not so big but in a diorama. Could it be minifigure scale and something like the ever popular Hoth UCS? Consider me interested.
  3. Honestly, look up the Inferior Five (the first five on the list) and Section 8 (11 to 18). They are really good examples of parody and social commentary/satire in comic books.
  4. That head looks like head of BP from his earlier appearances in Jungle Action like this one
  5. That fact had passed me by, been lingering in the Silver Age for a while. If so that puts him up the list a few places as I feel Lego wouldn’t be so worried about that name rather than the original. I wonder what inspired the name change. A couple of things; I would like to give Defenestrator his window as an accessory, obviously, and I don’t know which dog mould I would put with Dogwelder. Obviously not a pug. I’ve not got a death wish.
  6. An alternative wish list: 1. Merryman 2. The Blimp w/ wind sock 3. Awkward Man w/ watering can 4. White Feather w/ bent bow 5. Dumb Bunny w/ diploma 6. Captain Carrot 7. Pig Iron 8. Alley-Kat-Abra 9. Fastback 10. Rubberduck 11. Sixpack 12. Bueno Excellente 13. Friendly Fire 14. Dogwelder 15. The Defenestrator 16. Flemgem 17. Shakes 18. Jean de Baton-Baton 19. Ambush Bug 20. Argh! Yle! If any of these get made then I will be seriously impressed with Lego’s sense of humour.
  7. Signed or unsigned? I mean we need context, damnit! Or two separate tiles, and a dual sided head to represent before and after.
  8. He did say wish list. There’s a whole swath of the DCU that isn’t going to get made, nothing wrong with wishing.
  9. Are you thinking regular Daily Planet attire or Kirby era green jumpsuit? Both are just as iconic as each other. I agree that the CMF is ripe for characters like him.
  10. Do you have a copy of How to Handle Rejection Without Resorting to Violence?
  11. This has probably been asked and answered dozens of times, but does Lego repurpose licenced parts very often? Only there’s a leaked SW fig with a hat/helmet that would suit DC Rebirth Red Hood really well.
  12. See, I thought about putting Flamingo on the list, but it depends how easily Lego/FOLs could get over his methods, like they did Tarantula. He’s easy to parody, like Taserface in GotGv2. Same with the other dark ones. I knew I was missing a couple of the Golden Age crew, especially Signal Man. If any of them show up I will properly nerd out.
  13. Characters that I would like to see in the CMF 1. Ted Kord Blue Beetle 2. Booster Gold 3. Count Vertigo 4. The Question 5. Huntress 6. Heat Wave 7. Saturn Girl 8. Larfleeze 9. Saint Walker 10. Amanda Waller 11. Mr Miracle 12. Big Barda 13. Orion 14. Aqualad 15. OMAC 16. Hawk 17. Dove 18. Donna Troy 19. Cheshire 20. Guy Gardner 21. Kid Flash 22. Simon Baz Of the Terrible Trio with Shark and Vulture
  14. Characters that I would like to see in TLBM2: 1. Dr Double X 2. Planet Master 3. Ventriloquist & Scarface 4. Mad Hatter 5. Spellbinder 6. Fox 7. Vulture 8. Shark 9. Gaggy 10. Humpty Dumpty 11. Composite Superman 12. Maxie Zeus 13. Sportsmaster 14. Bronze Tiger 15. Solomon Grundy 16. Copperhead 17. Cavalier 18. Dr No Face 19. Tattooed-Man 20. Music Meister 21. Black and White Bandit 22. Black Spider 23. Captain Stingaree 25. Cluemaster
  15. It just struck me that this may be the answer to the question why did Lego go back to Batman for the sets. He has the gadgets, and very few other heroes are as reliant on them as he is. Villains on the other hand have always been depicted with a vehicle, massive weapon or other means of killing (enter heroes name here)/retrieving the loot/taking over the world. I know that the demand for Lantern sets is fairly high but they still haven’t been given the spotlight outside of one set, an adventure book and a polybag. Saves the pointless crowbarring. Of course they could fill it up with Elseworlds variants and I would be very wrong. Either way I’m happy. Now to work on my wish list.
  16. If this is true I will be very happy. I mean the scope is just vast. Woot!
  17. Why are you so convinced that it won’t happen? Such baseless, negative speculation helps nothing and nobody. The information has been repeated countless times, including the entirely plausible notion that Lego are keeping this one under wraps. They aren’t going to cancel a big Batman set in Batmans 80th anniversary year, when he got inducted into the comic book characters hall of fame. There’s a Mark Twain quote kicking around here somewhere...
  18. In a change to the current argument about whether the D2C Batvehicle has a cloaking device or has just plain left the Batcave, there’s a piece in the leaked CMF series that is a spot on DC piece. The Mummy’s head cover is, to me, just right for Felix Faust.
  19. Good work on the restructuring. It makes sense as it’s a lot smoother to navigate. As for a sub-forum, my main hangout is Licenced anyway, so I would be happy either way, but understand the logistics of it all.
  20. I could run a list of Batmobiles I would rather have, to be honest. I know it’s an iconic and defining shape, but the chances of it being accompanied by Nicholson Joker makes it less desirable for me.
  21. That would be a “take my money!” moment for me. The likelihood is its going to be the 89 Batmobile, but a man can dream.
  22. It makes sense really. There are a few reasons. If Lego has a licence then they are the ones with the license. If someone submits a MOC to Ideas and they haven’t got full knowledge of the limitations of the license regarding use and ownership, then there is the possibility of mass disappointment should it reach the target. In addition, if an Idea resembles an actual set in the pipeline then there is the possibility of someone claiming plagiarism (this is an odd one that crops up because Lego owns the rights to the bricks and I suspect the rights to the possible combinations, and the licencee owns the characters, vehicles and locations). I suspect that there is a slightly more selfish reason as well, in that a Lego designer working on a theme gets bested by a MOCer, then they would feel a little down about themselves. Finally it stops confusing and cluttering the themes.
  23. @SoupOrFishOil alright, I’ll try to keep this relatively brief. Flash assisting makes a little sense as it’s feasible that Riddler could acquire a faster car than Batman. Beetle and Moth didn’t need to be in the set, but two insect based characters appearing together in a child’s toy is not outside the realms of fantasy, their relationship (or lack of) and respective power sets notwithstanding. The likelihood is that the focus was on Batman - their flagship DC superhero - and they decided to go as with the Squad, albeit with less logic - I am struggling to find a specific Batman/Shazam team up outside of the Brave and the Bold cartoon or Justice League comics encounters. You answered your own question about why Shazam didn’t get his own set; he was untried. Aquaman was notably one of the best things about JL, and has been more prominent, if the butt of many jokes. As for the games, there are many of us still waiting for Mad Hatter. There’s no real precedent for games relating to future sets. I never said it was a rule, but an accepted trend. I would argue that the emphasis was on the hero who had the submarine, even if the other one was facing his nemesis. The SHG line ended amid rumours of poor sales. Whether that is the case is moot as the theme is gone. I don’t really understand your last point, as the box art for the rebranded Super Heroes back to Spider-Man line bears no relation to the MCU box art. They didn’t switch anything.
  24. Lego legitimately have every right to be a little resistant to putting out DC movie sets after they poured more money* into the Justice League sets than the movie made. Poor Shazam got bolted onto a Batman set that then insinuated Batman was incapable of catching the Riddler without some super powered help, as well as the GCPD. It’s been a known trend that Lego gives Marvel the movie sets and DC the comic sets. I would love to see more DC sets. I wouldn’t hang around here if I didn’t. But unless they are indeed doing a slightly half baked 80th anniversary wave and normal service will resume, then I think that the most likely set up is much like how it started, with the line going from Batman to Batman and Friends. I want to be wrong. *disclaimer: the exaggeration is to highlight the poor reception of the movie.
  25. A few BoP would be very welcome to help bolster the ranks of the heroes shelf. After TLBM they have been heavily outnumbered. After two waves with a big old Bat badge instead of a Super Heroes logo, it’s difficult to imagine anything different for the foreseeable future. I don’t mind so long as someone who isn’t Bat Family turns up, or if they are then one we don’t currently have, like Spoiler, Orphan, Huntress, Bluebird, Batwing or Signal. I would say Azrael but I reckon he’s in deep cut territory now.
