This LEGO model is inspired by Tamil Hindu temples that I have seen on my travels in Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia. The LEGO model depicts a typical gopuram tower. Gopuram towers stand at the entrance to Tamil Hindu temples. They are often very colorful and decorated with hundreds of statues of various Hindu gods. Tamil Hindu temples differ from other Hindu temples by being more colorful. Most Tamil Hindu temples are located in southern India and northern Sri Lanka, where the population is Tamil. There are also many Tamil Hindu temples in Singapore and Malaysia, as there are many Tamils living in these two countries. I have never visited Singapore. But the marina bay area caught my eye when LEGO launched the Marina Bay Sands Architecture set. Som many fascinating buildings and landmarks in this city! I have a personal connection to this city. My employee has an office there. Architecture style version of the Interlace Condominium in Singapore ( https://www.archdaily.com/627887/the-interlace-oma-2 ) which won World Building of the Year 2015 at World Architecture Festival. The scale is around 1:800 and approximately 3800 parts have been used. Enter the Eagle at Singapore Airshow 2014! This brick F-15SG comprises more than 150 parts and took more than half a year to design. It was quite a challenge to get it true to scale at this size. I’ve added in details like the airbrake and missiles, and built the wings sideways to make them as smooth as possible. The new 1x2 slope (part 11477) worked really well here. Hope you like it.
