That's great but you have no proof that kids think this way. Also HP sets smack in the middle of the kingdoms line during 2010-2011 in which kingdoms sold well and is still well liked. I'm saying Lego could release adult oriented castle sets which you just said worked with the Hobbit and the 2013 castle line. Lego can do it if they release the right sets people will still buy them and it won't hurt HP at all because most die-hard HP fans aren't into castle sets. I will still buy HP sets that interest me figure or build wise even if they release castle sets.

They did castle along with the Hobbit and they had HP and castle out at the same time before so this logic doesn't make sense. Plus who said they had to aim a castle theme toward kids as they are doing a lot more afol related sets. If they find castle sells well with adults like the blacksmith shop they might think about doing a line aimed at adults. My 10 year old does not relate castle to HP at all.

Nicely designed. I like the wall and the tower, they have some good texturing. The trees look good and nice book.

But a minidoll head is not the same as a minifig head and I know you can use the hair pieces from a minidoll on a minifig but that may not work if its a mask over the minidoll head. Personally I think the minidoll mold is to skinny for Piglet but I do see the what you are saying. Also they could've done something like they did with Bombur from the Hobbit and have a molded belly piece attached to the head, that might have looked better.

LEGO Ninjago 2021

I have the skull sorcerer's dragon too. Such a great looking dragon. It's very impressive even next to firstborn. Work got in the way today so hoping to build the jungle dragon tomorrow. I'm sure they will do a space theme. I would like some different aliens too. -
This is nice. i like the use of that raised baseplate. The mod works very well here, the river is a nice touch. The stable in the back is a neat idea too.

LEGO Ninjago 2021

My son and I both just got the jungle dragon and will probably build tomorrow. Looks really nice. I can't wait to see what it looks like next to firstborn or the skull dragon. The lego store had all but the keeper's village. Hopefully they will have that soon as it's sold out online. -

The Atlantis vibes are strong here even with there villains little vehicles, reminds me of Aquaman in the movie. This season is going to be interesting. -
Ok I'm just saying it's universally recognized through all those things i mentioned, video games, shows, movies, etc. I'm saying that more people may recognize lion knights through these other forms. Of course the original factions are great I have both original lions and black falcons. Yes it would be nice to get a throwback to the old heraldry like the did with the gwp a while back but I doubt they will do it anytime soon. All I'm saying is they are more recognizable that's all. I would just take some new lion knights that's all. But new factions are Overdue in my opinion. I know lego loves the lions and dragons as heraldry.

I know Disney has the licencing fee. I was using it as an example of a way overpriced set. So if your not going by parts count what are you measuring it on? I personally look at part count, types of parts in the set, minifigs, playability.
-
I think your taking this to literally. I'm saying that the the Lion is universally seen as a symbol of strong knights, realm, kingdom or whatever. It's used in many video games, fantasy adventure novels, tv shows, etc and is seen as a strong society. I would like and updated version yes does it have to happen now no. Of course I would love new heraldry like griffons or even a new stag, possibly a eagle, any new heraldry is welcome.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
zoth33 replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
From what I've heard Lego is not doing back orders on B&P and I can't just take time out of my work day to see if they are available so it will have to be luck of the draw with me. I'll just keep checking in and see where that gets me. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

You have to keep checking back for the black falcon parts and the helms. There are some monkey king parts available from the flower fruit mountain set are available. Also Chief Mammatus head piece is available. -
How is a 1,949 piece set at $170 overpriced? I'm just curious on your rationale. Seems quite fair to me especially with all the figs and printed legs, new tail pieces. How much do you think it should cost? Things are always going to go up in price. Lego has always been an expensive hobby. I don't agree with the statement that the vast majority would wait for a sale. There aren't many sales on lego here in the states not like it used to be. Look at the Raya the last dragon sets those are overpriced.

I guess I'm missing your point but Lion Knights are Lion Knights to me it doesn't matter if they are the same as the original it just gives greater variety to my army. What I'm saying is if you look at lego or any castle/fantasy based video games there is usually a knight dressed in some kind of lion armor or lion heraldry. So kids, teens and adults see a lot of lion knights when they play the games. It is a pretty common theme.

Lion knights were in kingdoms and also the 2013 line so I don't get your point and there have been other iterations in the last 30 years. My son loves Lion knights and he was to small when kingdoms was around. I would welcome any update on any of Lego's previous factions to be honest, the more variety for my armies.

Nice start. The texturing looks good and nice color choices.

Right It's not a cheap hobby to begin with buying sets, storage containers costs, enough space to display etc. I get that some are on a budget but i guess then you either have to save up or buy other more cost worthy sets. Sometimes I have to skip getting a set I want. Just look at some of the Disney sets like Raya the last dragon boat now that is overpriced. It's a part of life you don't get everything you want.

Thanks. I've seen a lot of your builds over the years. Very impressive and well thought out builds you have. And I like a lot of your figs too. Look forward to seeing more.

Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
zoth33 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Considering they just started the marvel Disney+ shows, it may take time like it did with the mandalorian. But we will definitely get them you know they will make sets off the shows, I just think they will release later as to not spoil things from the shows. We need MoonKnight in minifig form I agree. I am looking forward to a teaser trailer to see what the series will be like. -
Nice just like in the different versions of the story. This is a great feature. I can't wait to get flower fruit mountain next week

The Shang-Chi set has some nice figs and an interesting dragon. I think it's a pretty neat set. The torso's do look useful. -
He just needs the skirt piece really and that's what he looks like to a T.
