  1. Kind of like that. Do you like the Ninjago D&D inspired season? I think the sets are great and I love the skull dragon, just looks so menacing when displayed. I really did like the elves line and they had some great dragons there too. I really liked the goblin kings dragon. But I am hoping lego does do a fantasy theme soon with more dragons and mythical creatures. Ninjago has some nice dragons but some are to sci-fi or mechanical. The new Disney Raya the last dragon sets do look nice and remind me of the elves theme. I also hope the Harry Potter line continues with new molds like the centaur and hopefully make different creatures from the movies or books.
  2. I like the stained glass. The color choices look nice together. The build has that creepy feel in the first picture. Nice rock work too.
  3. Great build. I really like the design of the build, and nice technique on the floor. The figs looks great too.
  4. I don't agree with the less violence. Especially with the resurgence of Harry Potter which is very dark and violent, especially in the The deathly hallows. Lego also makes Marvel and DC sets and the recent marvel movies have been violent with death of popular characters and blood, etc. Stranger Things they just did also. So them going less violent I don't see it right now as an excuse to not make castle or pirates. The shields just seem to get more updated over time and they seem to get a more modernized design. But I do see your point about the shields and color choices. Even the kingdoms dragon logo was just a more modern design of a dragon where as the dragon knights design was more generic.
  5. No like in fantasy adventure books or games like skyrim. They would be human in form but with dragon like features like scale skin, claws, possibly a tail some have them others don't. Facial features like a dragon. And obviously dragon armor. I just something castle soon the blacksmith shop with the black falcon knights that is coming soon is nice but I'm really hoping for a full theme of castle or fantasy.
  6. @Aanchir those are some nice parts. My son just got that Ninjago master of elements set the weapons in green a great color that could be used for wood elves, or dryads. I really like the earth green bush. The new face on the ghost in the $10 Cole battle set is awesome love that print, has to be one of my favorites.
  7. That's the beauty of Lego you can tear it down and build whatever you want. I have a lot of the 80-90's sets still have quite a few of my original forestmen. Still have some wolfpack, and have a bunch of the red torso with the scale armor print. Still have all my black falcons and lion knights all in good condition. I used to just build the set and then either mod it or build something completely different after I played around with the original for a while. Those were good times. I can't believe how well the old figs hold up. I actually hope they do a new dragon faction with actual dragon men that would be awesome.
  8. All 3 sets look great. So many great parts and the designs are really nice. This is going to be an expensive year for me for Lego. That sword looks great.
  9. No problem. I do really like the new hermit crab in the CMF. I also do hope the recolor the small bird as it is it's only white and blue. I'm hoping for red, black, grey, yellow, green, purple, and various shades of all colors really. I also hope they do a vulture or could possibly recolor the eagle to fit a vultures colors. I hope they recolor the patronas's from Harry Potter. I would also like some different shades of the chicken mold. A release of the cow again would be nice too. Hope the national geographic thing keeps going and we get some more interesting obscure animals.
  10. Wonderful builds all around. Some very nice details in all of them. All the builds are clean and sleek. You definitely have your own style. The figs look excellent too. I wish I had more time to enter this year but work got really busy for the end of year push. Good luck in the contest.
  11. This is great. The base is fantastic, with the different colors, it flows very nicely to the next section. The structure itself is designed very well, the roofs really stand out here and are the star of the build. The added details of the snow on the trees and the roofs really bring the build to another level. Great job.
  12. Very nice build. Like the design and the color choices. The red really stands out and is a nice shot of color with the grey and white. Is there an interior? Tobiasz have you been having trouble posting to the CCC contest site and do you know if it's still going or they ended it? It doesn't look like a lot of people entered and I have been so busy haven't had time for photo's or big builds this year.
  13. The new legacy sets are really nice the new face print on the ghost in Cole's battle set is awesome. I will be buying multiples just for the face print alone. The new weapon pieces are great. Really like the legacy wave the tournament of elements is nice my youngest son got that set looks good and figs look great. Can't wait till march for the season 14 sets.
  14. I know everyone wanted the goat. But there has to be a reason we haven't seen it in a set since the raid set so it's either the mold is messed up or they haven't made a new mold or for whatever reason. I'm good with getting more animals, love getting animals but I would see a better chance of that in a set like a farm, or a build like a manor or homestead in a castle setting. The animals on B&P are usually of good prices and if not bricklink is another source. Yeah the goat is really expensive because of the rarity of it, but most other animals you can get for pretty good prices. I'm hoping they release the goat in another set soon, maybe farm related to the city line but it's been so long, I really would like to see a sheep mold too or a woodchuck. I have a degree in natural resources conservation, wildlife management and have hunted and fished since I was young and I don't know about you but most animals don't stick around buildings unless there is food or some other reason to attract them to the blacksmith shop. I'm in a suburban area and the only reason wildlife is in my backyard is because of food and water, whether it be my bird feeders or the vegetables I grow. I really hope Lego comes out with a new castle/fantasy line but for now this is all we have and I'm all for it.
  15. Nice clean build. I like the door. I like that you can remove the front and see inside, nice detail. I need to get some more of those knights I only have 5 at the moment.
  16. Great texturing throughout the build and very nice crenelations. The rock work looks very seamless and flows nicely. The only thing I'm not sure about is the wood on the top of the manor just doesn't seem to fit being the manor is all stone. Nice vines and trees too.
  17. Yeah but the picture is definitely spring or summer with the tree so i could see a bird or 2 or maybe a rabbit. But what my point is with all the noise coming from the blacksmith most animals shy away from human interaction. So I'm not to disappointed about the lack of animals. I'm just trying to stay more positive this year and look at the good things. There's always going to be some sort of disappointment with lego it seems anyway. It just amazes me that everyone has been begging for something castle and when it comes people crap on it for minor reasons and these will be the same people begging for more castle/fantasy stuff and if this doesn't sell well lego might look at castle/fantasy as a lost cause. When before on these forums I remember people saying support anything that lego comes out with for castle to show there is still appeal and now we've got people saying the exact opposite.
  18. I really don't get the huge amount of hate about this set not having all the animals. I mean its a blacksmith. In reality none of those animals would have been anywhere near a guy forging metal. I mean if you want animals there are tons of other sets or B&P that have that stuff. I'm in it for the set and the minifigs, animals are of no importance here. And as far as the blacksmith not having enough tools all he needs are hammers and a set of tongs and that's it really. The set is fine and I'm going to buy it to support the castle theme to show that we all still want castle sets. It just seems whatever castle set lego makes there will always be hate. But I'm going to take what castle I can get at this point. 2020 was a crap year and 2021 doesn't look much better and Lego is one of the few things that keeps me sane so brick on everyone.
  19. The star wars armor recolor is nice. I will be buying this set. I think its a nice set and has enough details. Has some great parts too. Love the black falcons and the new swords. The tan horse is nice. The build is actually growing on me with these new picks. Sure its not like the original but this will fit in nicely in my fantasy castle world.
  20. Great depiction of that scene. I like the texturing of the walls. The design on the flooring is great and really stands out. Figs look wonderful too.
  21. oh ok with D+ meaning Disney plus I thought that's what you meant.
  22. I think he means disney plus not dc
  23. Love the base and the landscaping. The tower looks good and I like the scaffolding and the ladder. The little crane is nice. Nice texturing on the tower. Figs look good too.
  24. Check page 3 it has the thread with castle related ideas projects. The mods will probably put this there.
  25. I like the use of the lattice throughout the build. I like all the arches and choice of colors. The interior is very well done, the candle holders and the hanging chair are nice details. The figs look great.
