  1. Got ya. I thought maybe you had a certain build in mind. I will be going to the local lego store next week to pick up some monkie kid and ninjago sets hopefully the wall has some good parts.
  2. @Megbricks That's a lot of orange heads. Nice haul. May I ask what your going to use them for.
  3. Exactly. I think they are doing this as a nod to older themes that they aren't doing as current themes or not thinking of doing anytime soon. I think they are trying to use the nostalgic value of some of these sets to lure AFOL's in while keeping things fresh for the kids. I don't have a problem with it at all as it brings back some of the great aspects of other themes. Like the D&D wave brought back that castle vibe especially with the skull sorcerer's lair and the dragon are both great nods to old school castle/fantasy era fans. Even the villains and the geckles and the munce were great for castle figs. The season 15 wave has that Atlantis feel with the figs and some of the sets. Season 14 has and Islanders vibe. The sky pirates etc. I think hopefully new action/adventure themes will have their own style but we will have to wait and see.
  4. Some very nice detailing here. I like the canopy on the bed. The floor design is great. The frames around the windows and the picture are fantastic. Great choice of colors, the gold accents really work well here. The bath and the dresser are nice details. Great job overall.
  5. That's a good idea. I haven't experimented yet with the torso and leg combo's. Might do that later today. Yes that torso is very versatile as it doesn't have the usual female curves on it. I was going to see if it fits in well with my forest elves. I really do hope the next castle theme has at least 3-4 different faction one being the bad guys and would love some elves and dwarves in there too. Or even 2 bad guy factions like a goblin faction and some evil knights, either something like death knights or shadow knights.
  6. Nice. I like the irregular base. Neat design with the torch pieces and the 1x1 round tiles in the center. Good texturing on the walls too.
  7. Have you tried the new female centaur torso. That one is pretty nice to use for customs.
  8. I use these for now. I do hope new ones come soon though I also use Rey's torso from star wars.
  9. The cmf viking lady had a great print for commoner folk. I have not looked up prices on e-bay or bricklink though so I do not know. I just have a bunch from when they were released. I know there is some around. I've just taken a few picks of what I have I'll try to upload soon.
  10. Yeah I see that but you can use hoods or capes to cover up that slight spot on the torso by the neck, I have done that a few times. I get what your saying though. The PoP torso I have is red and white and works well with the custom figs I have created. There are some good ones out there you just have to do some digging. Have you tried bricklink?
  11. I like herne. Naga is interesting, I like the combo of Murt and the snake tail. Nice use of the mysterio part for the plant guy.
  12. This is a very nice design. I like the roof technique. The house on the posts is unique. The birch tree looks good. Good luck on Idea's.
  13. Yeah you have hundreds of dollars worth of cypress trees alone . Beatiful design though. The interior looks great.
  14. I have the torso of the woman in the yellow building and it's still in pretty good shape. There are some decent torso's you just have to look around. The prince of persia sets from years ago had some nice female torso's. The harry potter line has some usable ones. There was a nice torso in the build a minifig station at the lego store awhile back. You just have to look around. But hopefully we will get a full fledged castle theme with common folk to fill in that gap.
  15. I don't think the ratio is bad now you have 2 female ninja and 5 male ninja then you also have Misako and Wu. There have been several female villains also. I think ninjago does quite fine with the balancing of different characters.
  16. Its on the US site now. Can't wait to get flower fruit mountain. Also probably getting cloud bike and not sure what else yet.
  17. That is a massive tower, nice use of your son for comparison. Nice representation of Tolkien's work. Really looking forward to seeing that Drow army. Brings back memories of reading forgotten realms and other fantasy novels. I remember reading tales of Bregan D'aerthe and Jarlaxle. It will be nice to see how you have represented the Drow.
  18. The season 15 Ninjago sets have some interesting figs and pieces. Especially for underwater fantasy type themes. It has an Atlantis vibe to the season. The New main bad villains look interesting and Wohira looks great. The water dragon is very nice. The fire dragon from the legacy sets looks pretty good too but I think I will mod that one. Can't wait to see finalized images.
  19. It might show up on B&P at some point. Just have to wait and see. I really like the temple and the water dragon sets. The bounty looks good. Can't wait to see official pics of the villains. I'm going to say that they are using the snake heads as eels for the underwater theme. Really liking this wave to some excellent sets. Ninjago just keeps coming up with great season sets recently. Totally agree. I think they are meant to be Eels too. Also love that new stingray print in the temple set
  20. I do agree with you that some minifigs are just better looking if they are simple. For example the gargoyle in the cmf is simple not a lot of printing but looks great.
  21. I love the texturing you got with the walls on the house and the tower. The plates in the walls of the house look great with the 1x1 round plates in there. The base has some nice rock work and the layering of the different colored plates makes for a nice effect. The tree looks wonderful with the 3 leaf plant pieces in the regular leaf parts. The roof also looks nice with the different plates and tiles.
  22. Knock on wood in 35 plus years of lego building I have never had a missing piece. Sometimes they got stuck in the bag or were hiding underneath the instructions but I have been very lucky in that respect.
  23. Great techniques everywhere. The roofs look great, especially the differences in each. The texturing throughout the build is wonderful. The color choices compliment each other nicely. The arches give the architecture a interesting look that shows great detailing throughout the build. Nice looking figs too, I like the knight in the front with the grey bullet helm.
  24. I'm not actually expecting more than 3 or 4 at most. I just know they are going to throw in a king minifig. But they may surprise us only time will tell. I am just glad to see castle sets again. The blacksmiths shop was a fun build. Hoping this is too.
  25. Yeah I think that's a good number especially if it's a decent sized set. I'm hoping if the knights aren't black falcons then they have some nice heraldry. A nice peasant fig would be great too.
