I think this was a one off theme just to fill in for January. I don't think LEGO got the TMNT license, I think it's part of the license with Nick Toons that gives us Spongebob sets too. I see it going that way, a main release than a few random sets for a couple more years. I'm hoping for some good sales, I bought the small set for $8-9 and I love the turtle! But the designs are lacking. However I'm using the big brain guy ship in an Alien Conquest MOC I have playing in my head.

It's been $60 on Amazon USA for weeks now, that's 25% off. I like the set, don't like the colors, bugs, and not enough minifigures. Great review, the pictures look good on the black.

It's a great set, but I have a few issues. $100 for that? yeah yeah it has 1200 pieces, don't care, they are tiny pieces. It's also more of a fair than a market. I rather pay $60-$70 for the Winter Carousel than $100 for a "Winter Market". Still a very pretty set, but by far the weakest in the series... but that doesn't mean much.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Bricknblue replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Does anyone even know how long the license is good for? We can be arguing over what sets on what movies might be released, but if LEGO loses the license than we get nothing. -
For sure get a small LotR set so you get two rings right there. Anything gold color I would have, even a golden cane could fit into a jewellery store. (Funny when you are in the main forum area before clicking on Town it says "Looking for help with a Jew...".)

Wouldn't this massive thing have issues taking turns?

It's a surprise to me too. I have seen a lot of layouts a meter by 2-3 meters and they are nice, but it looks liek all the money went into the roads and not into their buildings. I rather see some awesome building than a road. I have one base model (literally the base of a main street on a beach) that I never built up on and used all my titles it seems, that has a road, but with a train track in it. But if I'm just doing a small city layout I use wood, or even big sheets of paper. All you are doing is making roads, it saves so much money than incredibly overpriced baseplates that half of them you won't use. Plus you could always use the plywood later.
-
I can't believe people buy them. They used to be $8 for two 15 years ago, when the regular green and blue baseplates were still $5. Now they are $15 or something silly for two and you can't even get two straight ones. I just stick to plywood, lot cheaper.

I have been to a Toy Museum, where they actually name "Toy of the year", I think it's called the International Museum of Play in Rochester NY. And this looks so cool!

But it's bigger on the inside.

Very nice set, but I wish it was a tan building and not a "bright yellow", I don't care about some new color. Some great pieces.

I agree, really nice.

The skis have been used in the winter sets, but I'm not sure about the poles. The fishing pole and pretzel have shown up in sets. More food is always welcomed. I really hope the roller skates show up, they are really well done.

The airplane, along with the rest, are so overpriced it's sickening. $40 for a truck that was $25 several years back?
-
The set is horrible, but the gun piece is really nice. haha

That door is awesome, I wish LEGO went with that.

Printing LEGO bricks is easy, LEGO just doesn't bother with it because it's incredibly wasteful (You can't use the extra pieces in a new set, so they get dumped) and expensive. That said I think it would be really cool if LEGO made a service like PaB for printing your own pieces. These pieces are really cool looking, neat fonts.

Yeah, I like the fact that most of the minifigures don't have tan chest lines so we can just switch out the heads for yellow ones. I really like that. :)
-
I really enjoy the set. Most of the time the little $4 sets are just for minifigures, this is a nice little quad. I agree, the hat, the torso, the whole minifigure is different, but fits into City. It's nicely done.

The stopwatch works fine, but they should have just made a slingshot piece, and use it for a trouble making CMF piece.
-
Brickset says I have 666, but I know I have at least 750 because I got dozens and dozens of minifigures at tag sales and flea markets, plus the CMF count is off.

A baseplate in a LEGO set? Do you think this is the 90s. :p

LEGO really messed up on the "new" life jacket, it's one of the worst things ever in LEGO and I don't understand how it ever got made. I understand wanting to take the big (awesome) old style and make one that uses less plastic, but it's designed like it was never even test ran on a minifigure, the head sticks up way to much, and I can't be the only one incredibly annoyed by that.

Hasn't there been an azure colored bike before? Or was that light azure?
