Lego 2013 Holiday Sets 1/2 2/2 (HR Images)
Bricknblue replied to GRogall's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love the truck, that is an awesome free set. The other one is a window with three trees, no thanks, I rather have small VW van. However it will be double month for points. So that's a few more dollars off.- 80 replies

Double points probably too. Still, last year's free-bes were better. Love the pink/purple hat she is wearing, is that a new color?

I chatted with the people with one LEGO store I went to (That they closed!) and they know of products shortly before their release, mainly to plan ahead. The ones at this store were AFOLs so they knew whatever they read online, but it was never anything close to "In August 8, 2014 we will be releasing Scooby Doo LEGOs, here are some pictures and piece counts. Don't tell anyone. Thanks! - LEGO Company" Every job at every company with more than one store / a stock makes you sign 1,000 different things saying you can't sell or profit or discuss from company secrets. That's just a typical form they make you fill out.

I'm not being rude. I'm just laying out the actual timeline of CMF. -
Collectable Minifigure Sightings & Availability

It's a slow downfall? I see it as series 3 LEGO woke up and realized they needed to make more. It's also when they raised the price in the USA. They didn't "have to raise the price", they realized they could make more money because they were selling so well. Also series 10 LEGO didn't "have to" make a Mr. Gold, stupid stunts like that sell. LEGO only cares about making money. In these countries it's unconfirmed that they are selling less so they are stopping the sale of them. Makes sense to me. Series 12 will have them based on the movie, I think that's a great idea because there will clearly be more characters than can be in the sets. LEGO is going all out for this movie, so more minifigures the better. And the series is selling so poorly that LEGO is making a MMO game dealing with just the mini figures. Yeah that seems like the downfall of CMF. -
REVIEW: 71002 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11
Bricknblue replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I went to TRU and they only had a few left on hangers. I find it interesting that all I felt were cops, mountain climber, gingerbreadmen and the four that I bought, elf, grandma, diner woman and German woman. Being that they was only 12-13 bags and there is only a 1.66666% chance of getting of getting each of those women. So I'm happy. And I really love them. The cat is amazing, so is grandma's hair. The dinner woman is really awesome but I hate the pale yellow on yellow, but the double face and everything looks even better in real life.- 117 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Bricknblue replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My TRU had them for $3.19. Not a lot of them, and they are redoing the store.... again, maybe if they stop redoing the stupid store they can charge fair prices?!?! Anyhooo.... I bought four, waiting for the B2G1F sale in a few weeks. I got the German and diner woman, grandma (The cat is the best!) and an elf, which is really cool it comes with the teddy bear and a gift. I'm enjoying this last classic CMS for several months very much. -
The whole thing is SNOT bricks. You just take some (or a lot in this case) of the light grey ones and put 1x2 tiles on them.
-
A red airport fire truck? That's rather lame. I was oping for yellow again.
-
I really like it, it looks nice. The back porch looks cool. However Cape Cod has brick houses?

Castle came back this year and right bfore it was announced LEGO had a press release saying something about it being the 25 anniversary, I think they meant 35. Next year it's Pirates big birthday. LEGO has said that Pirates isn't a staple like City, Space or Castle, but it will pop up from time to time. I for one think we will get some Pirate sets next year. If we don't we don't, but I still hope one year will go buy without Police. I know it won't happen but I hope. :)

25 years next year... nice start to a birthday theme... hint hint LEGO...

Yeah I think making the console is really smart, LEGO makes a well know set without needing to call it nuclear power, and no cooling towers. LEGO will never make a cooling tower, even though Japan didn't have the tower which was the problem. Also if you make nuclear power you can make bombs with enrichment and that's a slippery slope. And LEGO didn't make an oil rig after the Gulf spill. Also the Japan mess s still leaking radiation. The oil is not, and oil doesn't make bombs.
-
Watch it be fire. :P I don't see why we can't get a few fire sets based on some airport theme sets. We need a new airport.
-
There is no way LEGO will make a nuclear power plant after the events of Japan. It's that simple. Germany is planning on closing their nuclear power plants within 15-20 years, and Germany is a top country or LEGO. Why would LEGO take a license for The Simpsons and not make iconic locations? Because they have so many characters, LEGO cares more about the minifigure than the sets. And it's not like there aren't so many locations to make. Plus they have figured out how to make
-
Why do people think that LEGO Store employees know anything more than anyone else? Lego is incredibly secretive, but I'm sure they tell all the minimum wage people everything.
-
The second half will be Fire sets. ;)
-
I mean there is no way in Lego Land that LEGO will make the cooling tower of a power plant.
-
Two locations LEGO wouldn't want to touch is the power plant and the bar.

Key findings from the latest LEGO Fan survey

My favorite part.... Perception?!?! City sets the last two years have been insanely priced. Less than 300 pieces in a $40 set? And quality control has been an issue for a long time now, it's gotten much better but I still get sets where the bricks don't match every once and awhile, but that's improving. -
A Steam roller is different, so that sounds like fun. A decent Bat-Helicopter sounds good too.

I'm sorry I'm not like most Eurobrickers who think LEGO is their best friend and can't do any wrong, unless they don't give me free stuff. But a list of even more Police is not a welcomed sight no matter how you would like to spin it.

Awesome, in one of the pictures the pink looks different, like it's a sticker.
-
Are the pieces printed or stickers?

2014. The year LEGO City died. More boring police? Why not have some more different police stations like the forest one? LEGO City Coastal Police or desert police, or airport police, anything really! At least we get more campers out of the deal. But there are only so many $20 town sets before they all feel the same. However the wood transporter seems promising because I want the heliplane.
