I'm not a Lug, there isn't one really around and I refuse to pay. The LEGO online community has gotten out of control to the point that I normally just go into the Town and sci-fi sections here and see what new MOCs there are. I had to disable the news feed on Brickset because i got sick of them making posts whining whenever they don't get their way. And if one more idiot goes 'Simpsons are too adult for LEGO. I'm going to tie them to a chair and make them watch all the Star Wars, Super Hero, PotC and more so LotR movies.

Europe has Euro tax so that's 17% more than the USA. Don't like it, move, or don't buy LEGO. I rather live in Europe with socialized health care, paid sick time, vacation time and on and on and on.

New Action Themes for 2014?
Bricknblue replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
To LEGO I think the big action themes will be Chima, NinjaGo, The LEGO Movie has 17 sets and mini figures. Chima or NinjaGo for summertime, maybe another year of Galaxy Squad and I see at least one new theme, maybe in the fall. A one off like Monster Fighters. We have had rock monsters, water, and kind of historial theme recently, not sure what they can bring back. -
REVIEW: 71002 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11
Bricknblue replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm starting to think LEGO makes some 2 because they cost more to make than the others, like the mask of the islander. But the Yeti kind of destroys that though. Elves and islanders and cops seem to be the ones that should be 6.- 117 replies

REVIEW: 71002 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11
Bricknblue replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'd like to know who thought having six welders and yetis and only two islanders was a smart idea. Islanders is such an army building thing.- 117 replies

Hahaha That's a little crazy, but a great wink wink at War of the Worlds.

The problem is it will never sell as much as Friends, City or Star Wars. LEGO last year had issues making enough Friends sets because there are only so many sets you can make at once and they won't waste factory time or warehouse space on something that may or may not sell. Try a Cuusoo train car and see how far you get.

Because the governments of the world knew about the aliens and started to prepare for their arrival secretly. :)

REVIEW: 21050 Create Your Own Architecture
Bricknblue replied to JimBee's topic in Special LEGO Themes
$150 for a bunch of somewhat common white pieces is too much for me. Is there really a demand for so many large sets? But for fans of the line it's neat.- 55 replies

Love this set, it's different. The real life one was criticized for the fact it didn't work and dozens and dozens of soldiers were hurt and killed by it, but with billions of dollars wasted they got them to work.

Normally I feel big MOCs are big to hide the lack of detail, that their size is used to impress instead of impressing with detail. This is impressive for the size and the massive amount of beautiful detail. Very nice!

LEGo has already explained numerous times why they don't have extra train cars and everything of the kind... They don't sell! Simple as that.

Those aren't official boxes because they need set numbers and in the USA they need piece counts. But the boxes will be large in order to store the monsters and fight them with your friends (just a guess).

I've been to LEGO Kids Fest and they had an Indian Jones when the theme was already on it's way out. The stature doesn't mean anything. They just show off things to setll more sets. Come on wave 2, maybe have a decent set this time.
-
Fun looking. Useful parts. However if these things cost more than $5-6, and I'm guessing they will be $10, I'm passing. There better not be some insane license costs to them.

Weird set to remake. Looks nice, but looks just like the last one but twice the price.

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
Bricknblue replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The front could have been an easy fix, we have several types of cheese slopes to use and LEGO didn't bother.- 207 replies

Nice to see printed pieces even if no one can spell.- 207 replies

Funny, I hate all three of those. I like the new one, I also like the bar and clip than the click and lock style. It looks awesome on the Alien Conquest fighter, even though it doesn't fit right with a minifigure in it.

My problem with the whole line is that it's all overpriced. If they were $20 sets cool, $35 for that? Not cool.

I think I read it on Brickset. Some rep of LEGO came out and explained the situation and said they were sorry. I think it had to do with some of the accessory packs that are made in China. LEGO rejected some of them for not being at high enough quality (which is saying something if you look at some of the newer bricks I have) and because Friends sold something like 2-4 times more than LEGO thought it would that they had to use the good ones in some sets and the USA Advent calendar got the short hand.
-
The Friends one last year was only rare in the USA because some Chinese parts were badly made and LEGO used the good ones they had on sets and not for the calendar. That problem has been fixed, and LEGO knows how well Friends sells now.
-
I meant if it does get more sets than it will be a random 1-2 here or there for the next few years, like Spongebob, but I doubt that. And Marvel owns Spiderman, yet Sony owns the movie rights. No one here knows the legal issues over TMNT unless you are a lawyer for Nick and TMNT neither do you.
-
I really hope it improves a lot by January. It's rather "ehh". Just another useless Batman set, but without the character that the aquaman set did.

I bought the Stagecoach set before the movie bombed for $21US, that's 30% off. Cool set too. But there has been a history of that recently on Amazon, Hobbit sets did the same thing, the cheapest they have been was before the movie was released.
