Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Theoretically, it could still be possible that Kettleburn comes in the Monster Book set and that the trio + Nick appear in a challenges-themed retail exclusive set. However, this is supremely unlikely since it‘s hard to do those scenes justice in a $70 set and Nick wouldn‘t fit in at all I can see why they picked PS again, but it still feels somewhat unfair to focus so heavily on that one movie in the new castle system Fingers crossed the retail exclusive is based on the later movies! -

Indeed. Quirrell is a weird character to include in two flagship sets within the same castle system, but they kinda shot themselves in the foot Now I just hope we‘ll get some castle sections based on the other movies later on. Pretty silly that all the expansions with outer walls except for the owlery are based on PS, while CoS at least gets some interior stuff. In terms of castle expansions, not even PoA has gotten any love recently -

Weirdly enough, the leaks made me way more excited for the wave than I thought I‘d be, despite the Main Tower being PS-based Never thought we’d ever see a Kettleburn minifig! -

Can someone identify what pieces they used to represent the PS? Looks like two 1x1 plates or a 1x1 plate + 1x1 tile to me I still think they should recolour the gold nugget piece! -

Huh, that could be him! Maybe the same way Sinistra and Vector were initially random extras before being reinterpreted as these characters later on ^^ -

Pretty bummed that the Main Tower is also PS-themed, but at least we‘re getting (some of) the missing challenges! The new Nick is an improvement and Prof Kettleburn is an interesting inclusion. Pretty funny we’re at a point where they have to resort to characters that were never even in the movies Next, they‘ll have to make up characters themselves! -

Doubtful. They already created one for him in 2023, so they can still reuse that one -

I‘m pretty sure we‘ll see the new skirt piece in plenty of sets since they certainly didn‘t develop it with a random background hobbit in mind -

Yeah, the two franchises based on books by British authors involving magic and an evil ring and whose movie adaptations by WB both launched in 2001 having nothing in common Jonkling aside, it is kinda funny that HP and LOTR share quite a few head and torso prints. At least the reuses all fit! -

Yeah, as much as I would like to have a moulded Balrog, I‘m afraid that is not gonna happen in an 18+ book nook set While I pretty much always champion moulded creatures over brick-built ones, I‘m fully on board with a brick-built solution in this case. Since its entire body is on fire, I think a brick-built version is just easier to design. -

It‘s too early to tell whether there will be a GWP set at all, but I‘m pretty sure there will be. Last year‘s non-LEGO GWP was a bonus on top of the actual GWP set, so I think if they do another one of those, we‘d likely also get a proper set again ^^ Right? The face instantly looked familiar, but it clicked once I saw the alternate expression -

Agreed, especially since we never had neither cadets nor the red shirts. My main gripe is still that we‘re getting what should‘ve been Clone content for five years in a single year For instance, why are we getting both a UCS and a playset version of Jango‘s Slave One in the same year?! It is what it is though. The U-Wing and the Night Trooper BP are exactly what I wanted, so I have at least these two to look forward to Not saying I‘m not looking forward to the other sets, but these are the clear stand-outs to me. -

This one‘s very likely since they just brought back his faceprint for the Shire set I like your list! Seems very realistic to me. Katie would be a nice new character to have. Maybe with an alternate faceprint for the scene where she gets cursed? -

Is it? It‘s available in quite a lot of shops from what I‘ve seen ^^ Then again, Smyths and others don‘t seem to carry it… If so, that makes it less likely since having two castle sections being (sort-of) retail exclusives in the same year seems pretty odd -

I don‘t really care if the GWP is an escape pod or a Kaminoan facility. It‘s gonna be just more friggin Clones either way. What is this, Year of the Clone?! Can‘t wait for the AC with Boba, Jango, and even more Clones At this point, it‘s just comedic. -

Being cautious with expectations is a good approach, but I still think it‘s too pessimistic to expect an Endgame-type situation Endgame was unique in that nothing about the plot was officially advertised beforehand, not even in the trailer, and that half the cast was dead, hence the limited roster they had to work with. Yeah, of course everyone knew the snapped characters would be brought back eventually, but still. I‘m not saying there won‘t be a lot of secrecy around the plot, because there absolutely will be. Of course there’ll be a ton of spoilery key scenes TLG won‘t be able to touch before follow-up sets, but I‘m convinced toy manufacturers will be given a lot more material to work with from the get-go this time -

Also, why would a microscale Hogsmeade set be a D2C one when this year’s microscale DA was just a regular set? Sure, the microscale Hogwarts was a D2C set, but that‘s hardly comparable Agreed, the PPR doesn‘t exactly scream „buildable creature/object“ A castle expansion would be interesting, since retail exclusives tend to be stand-alone sets. -

Expecting CoS, hoping for PoA or OotP. No. The set will be 7 years old this year, so if they release a follow-up, they would share only a portion of their shelf life and nobody would buy the expansion without already owning the original since it includes the most iconic sections. Yes. I expect the „most detailed“ Hogwarts to feature all the important bits, and this is definitely one of them PS, to distinguish it from the D2C set. Shell Cottage or the Lovegood house. Voldemort‘s rebirth, a new CoS, and a Quidditch Pitch. I can see them doing both in parallel. Yes. Maybe a small set with the Gryffindor sword in the pond? -

The cast sounds great so far! Kinda interesting they‘ve already announced cast members I would‘ve expected to have mere cameos Hope this means we‘re getting a more accurate wave than Endgame‘s, but at least character-wise, that should be a given. The builds on the other hand… -

There‘s another tidbit here that doesn‘t ring a bell, namely the price of the still unknown set 76458 at $69.99 We can add that one to @MaxHeadroom‘s list No idea what to expect for that price, since recent retail exclusives like Grimmauld Place and the Durmstrang ship were more expensive. Another buildable creature/object would be my guess -
Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think there are multiple factors at play here, as others have pointed out: Gringotts, one of the most-wanted sets that always caused a lot of discussion, has finally been done in 2023. (Almost) everything important has been covered, and speculating about remakes isn‘t quite as engaging. We don‘t have HP minifig factory leaks anymore, which sparked a lot of speculation and discussion in the early days of the theme Fewer playsets to discuss overall with buildable creatures and objects taking up slots. Less predictable patterns compared to the first three years of the theme, where the waves proceeded chronologically through the movies. A very short list of missing (important) characters, which makes speculating about upcoming minifigs less exciting. It‘s still fun to me, but I can’t deny that some of the magic is wearing off now -

I have a hard time identifying the piece behind the teapot. Is that a giant pinecone with an accessory hole? -

OR… she‘s choking on her ambitions When you look very closely at the scene between Vader and Krennic in RO, you can see in Vader‘s expression that he‘s realising he had already said that to someone else the other day -

Weren‘t the Death Troopers undead the entire time? If so, these two at least will have zombie heads My guess is that they‘ll all have the head introduced last year. -

The Fortnite sets get released in July and the 2026 Pokémon announcement is independent from any 2025 sets, so these two events won‘t tell us anything about sets scheduled for August At least we have the set names! That‘s already more than can be said for Mario and Animal Crossing I think by May we should know more.
