Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have a feeling they might use satin-white technic balls instead, especially if they want to include more than one. Or maybe both variants to represent crystall balls of various sizes? -
Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I think they gave us the answer pretty plainly, the earlier movies simply have more magical scenes that make for good sets. When reading between the lines, this also implies that these sets tend to sell better, which could very well be the case. For all we know, the 2011 DH sets may have bombed If so, it’s natural they can‘t just spill the beans „Well, we don‘t produce sets based on DH because we’d expect them to sell like **** !“ isn‘t that great of a PR-friendly statement -

Remember that dude with the fake set list (the one with the Silver Angel to be precise)? He‘s now desperately trying to spin it in a way that he‘s still correct The lenghts some people are going… -

Add random masked Death Eaters, the remaining house ghosts, and Kreacher to that list, and I‘ll sign it -

The best thing about the Mando MF is that it increases the chances of other Mando sets being part of the wave -

Hm, Mando finally getting a faceprint woud indeed be a good incentive to buy the Microfighter. Still kind of doubtful though Din showed his face for the first time in S1, so they already should‘ve made the change for this year‘s 2HY sets at the latest Better late than never, but I‘m not expecting it -

Wonder why the set names are revealed one by one. Whatever happened to set lists just dropping in their entirety It‘s a bit more suspenseful, I‘ll give it that And it‘s funny how the vastly superior Beskar Mando minifig is now so much easier to acquire than the first version. Told you at the beginning of the year that Beskar Mando would be EVERYWHERE soon -

The DADA scene in GoF is iconic in its own right, given that it serves as the introduction to both “Moody” and the three curses, so it’s not undeserving of being the source of the new Moments set IMO I mean, it‘s a lot more relevant to the plot compared to the DADA class in CoS, which is mostly comedic Admittedly, I’m a bit biased though since Moody is one of my favourite characters and GoF one of my favourite instalments -

Not the most exciting selection in the world, but it's nice to finally get a Pomfrey minifig and new versions of Moody and Trelawney -

Some of them are about to reach their EOL, which tells me they haven't sold all that well Then again, maybe it was too late to correct course, so they're stuck with releasing four more of them -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
This year was the 20th anniversary, so why would there be more next year? Unless the 21st anniversary is something worth celebrating for some reason Since it’s 4 sets again, I expect something house-themed. Moments sets can probably be ruled out, but it’s likely another gimmicky type of set. As long as we get some new characters or versions, I’m not complaining -

I think it’s one of those two options, otherwise we would’ve heard something about it by now. Potential sets based on TBoBF would be part of the January wave anyway -

I’ll reserve final judgment on the BP until we see the rest of the set list. If it’s as OT-laserfocussed as this year’s 1HY offerings, the sentence will be harsh. If the rest is more balanced, I’m ok with it Still crossing fingers that the other BP (if there is one in the first place) is Mando-based -

Disney Properties 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
The upcoming Disney Castle won’t be a GWP after all, but instead a ~$35 set, available at the beginning of October: https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-40478-kleines-disney-schloss-mini-version-des-grossen-schlosses/ A leaked product description states that the set will feature a “classical” Mickey Mouse minifig That’s quite surprising to me, didn’t expect a minifig to be included here! Probably a new version of his counterpart in the 2016 set -
Super Mario 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Disney Castle set set has been rumoured since April, so a lot earlier than we first heard about Peach's Castle And correct, they have separate set numbers so a misunderstanding can be safely ruled out. Both sets are definitely coming. Thanks I'm currently displaying the coins and keychains in the same display cabinet as some of the other Mario sets, still thinking about a better solution All of these items shouldn't be too hard to get, depending on where you live of course. I've had to bricklink the coins since there still aren't any LEGO stores in Switzerland (one day... *sigh*), but if you happen to live near one they might carry them. I think they're handed out to participants of some in-store event. The keychains are pretty easy to get if you happen to have accounts on both s@h and MyNintendo since at least half of the necessary points are granted by "cross-wiring" the accounts The only issue is that MyNintendo doesn't deliver to that many countries, so the Luigi keychain on s@h is a lot easier to get -

The set itself looks surprisingly similar to the last version upon closer inspection, but good to see that interrogation scene Joker finally gets a minifig Wonder what this means for the $40 set though. Purple coat Joker cannot be ruled out now
