Lego Minecraft 2021- Rumours and Discussions
BrickBob Studpants replied to gryffindorbrickkid's topic in LEGO Licensed
https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-minecraft-1q-2022/ Sounds like a decent wave Nothing mind-blowing, but we do get some rather rare mobs, two new mob variants (glow squid and snow fox), and some new player skins -

Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have no idea what to make of this A new videogame like @Felkin suggests would be fantastic (pun fully intended), but there’s no way that could be coming out this year and it kind of had to, were it to tie in with the anniversary. The development team is also still busy with the new Star Wars game on top of that. Another D2C set would make little set too considering A) we just got one; and B) we surely would’ve heard about it by now. Maybe it’s some sort of event and/or announcement instead? Can’t think of anything besides these three options -

I meant in terms of minifigs, the set itself is a major update as is This would’ve been the perfect opportunity to finally release force ghost Obi-wan, albeit opaque of course -

And the prize for the most pointless print update EVER goes to… Yeah, that was pretty silly. Hopefully they spent the budget on prints, recoloured pieces and new parts for the TBOBF minifigs rather than pointless updates like that All of the expected minifigs have been released before and very recently so, and thus none of them really require any updates. A Chewy with snow print would be neat as some people have suggested, but that’s not very likely -

I know I’ve been joking about the accessory packs before, but now I really hope they use their 1-2 new prints each wisely The rest of the wave is pretty unlikely to include any noteworthy new prints, so they should at least go all-out there. Mando is already confirmed to be the same as before and Chewy, Yoda, the trio, C-3PO, R2, the Rebel trooper, the Dark Troopers, and the Snowtroopers will surely be identical to previous releases as well. The Hoth Scout and Mando Luke will probably be kitbashed (i.e. a Scout helmet on a Snowtrooper torso and a hood for ROTJ Luke), leaving only whatever minifigs are included in the TBOBF sets and the accessory packs. And please don’t tell me they spent their print budget on those quotes They’re a neat idea, but the priorities should lie elsewhere -

Sure, but how about adding something new for the people who already own the previous version, which they often did in the past? It's not like couldn't include anything new here *cough* non-transparent force ghost Obi-Wan in the same style as the Hogwarts ghosts *cough* Granted, the trash compactor set offered ZERO potential in that regard from the get-go, except for a more accurate dianoga perhaps -

Yes, which is EXACTLY why I’m fed up with the barrage of OT sets every year There’s so much stuff they still haven’t touched yet across all three eras but nope, OT remakes until the banthas come home I now OT sets sell, but is SOME balance between the eras really that much to ask for? Not a single PT, TCW, BB, ST, RO, or Solo set in sight. AGAIN. The only sets that save this wave for me are the Darktrooper “BP” and the two TBOBF sets, and we have no idea yet if anything new is even included in the latter. My expectations for the accessory packs are low too, probably Luke, 3PO, Obi, and R2 in one pack and Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewy in the other -

Indeed. The dioramas are going to be lovely models, no doubt about that, but the minifig selection is just so face-numbingly BORING. Seriously, after more than 20 years of collecting I have more Lukes, Hans, Leia's, Chewies, R2s, 3POs, Vaders, and Yodas than I have Stormies or Clones I can build a coffee table out of them! -

Very disappointed to hear that those two sets are OT rehashes after all without a single new minifig Them being dioramas doesn’t make them any more interesting, still the same old stuff Unless they went all-out with the TBOBF stuff, looks like another very cheaply produced wave -

Too bad about the reused cowl, but I’m still impressed because every minifig except for Batman got a new faceprint, which is incredibly rare for a Superheroes wave Even Bruce’s face technically counts since these sets were initially intended to be released in Spring, meaning Tom Riddle in the CoS set is actually reusing Battinson’s face and not vice versa -

They don’t mention their source anywhere, but it being a catalogue seems fairly likely to me. At least it would explain why they’re not sure about certain details (e.g. whether there’s a new leg-skirt combo piece included in one of the HP sets or not) -

They are, that’s what it says on s@h I really like the look of these sets and the new faceprints we’re getting Gordon’s is particularly spot-on and definitely ressembles Jeffrey Wright! Serkis’ Alfred is not how I expected him to appear, so now I’m excited to see what he looks like in the film -

Exactly. The last surprise appearance of Wolverine - the Mighty Micro version - also wasn’t tied to anything specific and served no ulterior motive -

The set descriptions Stonewars have provided over the last few days for the other themes have revealed plenty new details, so I hope they can do the same for some of the SW sets I imagine there aren’t any prelim images of the TBOBF set in the catalogues, so that one will most likely be shrouded in mystery a while longer, but hopefully we will finally learn what the Yoda and Death Star sets are actually based on -

Couldn’t agree more It’s not only the best DC set in ages, but also one of my favourites of the entire year across all themes I hope they release more sets from the TDK trilogy in that style -

Stonewars provide some more details about the 2022 sets in their article: https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-harry-potter-neuheiten-q1-2022/ Noteworthy new bits of information include: The release date is the 1st of March Leaks might take a bit longer then The DADA set includes a depiction of the dark mark The Hospital Wing set includes a bottle of Skelegro and potentially a new owl print The suitcase set maybe includes a new leg piece that combines short legs with a skirt -

Those are pretty vague rumours anyway, there’s no guarantee any of them actually pan out It’s not like TFA or TROS where we had concept art to confirm character appearances… I’m not fully convinced myself yet, but I think we can expect a decent handful of familiar characters to show up. Hopefully, we also get some cool new characters with minifig potential -

Indeed. There’s another option for the Yoda set. It’s incredibly unlikely, but if “Yoda’s training” is actually the proper name of the set, it could be based on the Yoda arc of TCW S6. After all, we already got Yoda’s Jedi interceptor from that very same arc Not counting on it, but at least it’s an option The options for the DS set are a bit more limited, so not looking forward to that one too much. Could still be another remake of the ROTJ duel -

Stonewars have started to write a series of articles on the 2022 set lists, so it shouldn’t take too long before they get to the SW one Let’s hope they have some new bits of information to add, especially in regards to the Yoda and Death Star sets -

Since it’s now October, it shouldn’t be too long before the first minifigs start leaking Could be quite exciting, especially in regards to the TBOBF set. We still have no idea who will show up in that show apart from Boba and Fennec of course, and with a $100 set we should expect quite a few minifigs The only familiar characters that are currently rumoured to appear are and the only new character we’ve heard of is codenamed Characters from upcoming SW content being revealed through minifig leaks is a tradition I’d definitely like to see continue
