Correct, the designers have said so on more than one occasion They could theoretically insert a small reference here or there, but don't expect any book-exclusive characters to suddenly show up in sets

Other themes have also started with one wave a year, then moved to two a year and never went back (Minecraft e.g.) Sure, a gimmicky type of set might make more sense given that‘s the only precedent for a winter wave we have, but who‘s to say they won‘t release two waves of regular sets starting next year? If the theme is succesful enough to warrant it, why not

We do have set lists for some licensed themes though; Minecraft, Mario, DC, and Jurassic World, to be precise. Two of them are carry-overs from this year of course A Marvel set list exists too, however that one is a bit fishy. Granted, the only list among these that includes anything concrete beyond set numbers is the Minecraft one, and even those names are rather vague. In essence, we need a lot more information before we can rule out a HP winter wave

Exactly. If actors do or say something horrible, it‘s easy for TLG to distance themselves because the minifigs are based on the characters the portray. Youtubers on the other hand could prove to be ticking time bombs, so TLG would have to be EXTREMELY careful when selecting safe ones. You‘d be a good choice though The list was posted by LWC on the Russian messenger VK a while ago. They’re not the only source though, Jedijacpenguin has added some of the sets to their 2022 list as well. I’d go with the latter’s list as it’s a bit easier to find

I still think that releasing sets with spoilerific characters in January or February would be a rather risky move. Of course the sets themselves are not going to be pictured in the catalogue and have thus a pretty low chance of leaking, but the same cannot be said about the minifigs. They might already escape the factory before the next trailers drops March or even April seems a lot more safe to me, but we shall see

The 2010/11 line has a GoF and OotP - shaped hole in it and only one set based on PoA, which automatically disqualifies it from being the „definitive“ iteration in my book Plus, some of the sets are very non-specific in what they represent, which isn‘t helped by the fact that the minifigs always look the same, regardless of age. The same minifig representing CoS and DH Harry just doesn‘t work for me and bothered me quite a bit, even back then And the 4L bars were just horrible excuses for wands, but to be fair, that issue concerns all the lines prior to the current one. I‘m completely honest here, as much as I liked the previous one, once I saw the 2018 GH at that year‘s toyfair, I immediately knew that this would be the best iteration yet. They‘ve put so much more effort into it compared to what they‘d done before

The polybag should be available at a specific retailer in Switzerland that carries a lot of different polybags, but my local branch’s toy isle is almost non-existant, unfortunately.

Hehe, guilty as charged Thing is, I wouldn‘t have succeeded otherwise. The polybag was a dud, and so the AC is the only set left. I was missing 6 tiles and the AC only includes 2, so even if I had gotten lucky, I still would have had to bricklink the rest of them As I‘ve said before, it‘s a mystery to me why the D2C set doesn‘t include any. It‘s the only anniversary set that doesn‘t If it featured like 10 or so, I might have been to able to complete the collection without resorting to cheating
