  1. There‘s also the option that neither Disney or HP get a third series After all, there‘s still no IP that went beyond two series (DC doesn‘t count, TLBM was its own thing).
  2. The excellent points you two bring up are exactly why I‘m conflicted about this: on the hand, we‘re at a point where there‘s only a few characters left that are unlikely to ever appear in regular sets, which is why a Disney S3 would be more valuable. On the other hand, a HP S3 would be the ideal way to give us some DH characters, but as @Alexandrina points out, this might make for a less-appealing series compared to the first two Conclusion? I dunno, just throw us a bone with 2-3 DH sets and we wouldn‘t even have this issue
  3. Matthew Ashton has recently said in a Q&A that his personal dream licensed CMF series is on the way (thanks go to @DBlegonerd7 for the heads-up). While this sounds very exciting, it could also spell doom for either HP S3 or Disney S3 (or even both). I‘m very conflicted about which I‘d prefer
  4. Hm, while a new licensed CMF series does sound intriguing, this also means that either Harry Potter S3 or Disney S3 got the axe… or both of them Time to check Ashton’s IG account to see what franchises he’s a fan of …besides MLP of course, that one can safely be ruled out
  5. It’s definitely catchier than the God of taking up more slots than he should in a series of colletable plastic toys My box from minifiguremaddness should be dispatched this week, looking forward to it
  6. I sure hope so If so, I wonder how Micro-Bowser is constructed and if it involves any additional new prints
  7. Agreed. Grimmauld Place would be best served either in AC form or as a purely interior model like New Asgard (maybe a bit larger than that though). The outside just wouldn’t work without having the two neighbouring buildings, and those would be pretty pointless without having a play feature. And it would be a crazy expensive set on top of that Just give me the living room + tapestry room, OotP!Sirius, OotP Tonks, and Kreacher, and I’m all set
  8. Thanks for reminding me Why, OH WHY, did it have to be Illumination, the studio that prides itself on not producing anything above mediocre? Couldn’t Nintendo have jumped over their own shadow for once and just work with Sony? Potential sets is the only possible upside to this, as long as they stick to the designs.
  9. I’m surprised by how smooth the “transforming” feature is Can’t wait to start building this in roughly a month (too bad there’s no early VIP access)
  10. As suspected, there is also an interactive feature with the Mario and Luigi figures where 10 hidden stars have to be collected Love that idea, and hoping for some cool 64 sound effects
  11. Better pictures are now on IG The microfigs are very cute even though they lack eyes, especially King Bob-Omb and the Chain-Chomp! The stained glass and level paintings are all printed on 1x1 tiles and the warp pipe appears to be a new mould That 2x2 Bowser slide puzzle print is also a great addition Impressive how well they’ve managed to capture the essence of the levels at such a small scale
  12. Do you really expect people to base their decision to buy a set on what a designer said in a video? „Yeah, I was gonna buy it, but then I saw that designer video and changed my mind“ Not likely. You buy the set for the set itself, not its packaging or what a designer said. People may claim that this affected their decision, but those people wouldn‘t have bought it either way and were just looking for excuses. And no offense, if this is it all it takes for some fans to boycot a set, they frankly don‘t deserve another fan-voted set, UCS or otherwise
  13. Love it Can‘t wait to see better pictures tomorrow!
  14. Honestly, I‘d buy it even if it were just the ?-block and nothing else. It‘s iconic enough in its own right The rumoured micro-scale interior makes it even better, especially if it‘s based on Mario 64
  15. Can‘t wait for the reveal Not what I expected, but this has a lot of potential! @Ashnflash already received a review copy, so the official reveal can‘t be that far off
  16. Too bad it‘s not Peach‘s Castle itself, but the foldable block does sound intriguing They‘re really thinking outside the box with this theme, aren‘t they?
  17. Well, two out the three „cheapest“ offers currently on bricklink are located in Singapore, so at least you‘d save a bit on shipping
  18. Fulcrum posted a ?-block in his IG story… The reveal can‘t be too far off then
  19. October and November respectively
  20. The stratocaster set has just been officially revealed! A new set without a single leak?! Whatever next!
  21. I‘m also pretty happy with these four sets, even though they‘re not as exciting as they could be The best thing about them is that Madame Pomfrey (or Pommes Frites, as I like to call her, i.e. German/French for chips ) can finally be scratched off from our collective CMF wishlists The fewer obvious candidates remain, the higher chances are for some DH representation
  22. The Camp Nou set was officially revealed on the very same day it was released, which could be a new strategy If it weren‘t for that leak on ebay, we could have had the exact same doubts there. Don’t forget, the set number has been reported months ago and the set was confirmed to be Peach‘s Castle by multiple sources. We just need to be patient
  23. They‘re not officially listed on bricklink, but some sellers offer them as „custom“ items (which is usually done whenever sellers list items that aren‘t registered in the system) The coins are actual metal judging by their weight, with a chrome coating. At least from what I can tell That‘s a pretty good price! Fingers crossed they‘re legit
  24. Only problem is that it blew up in TLJ, so it would‘ve been a pretty weird tie-in set. Then again, there was the Death Star set with Obi-Wan in that same wave …and where did the other 10 episodes go?
