An 80$ Yoda's hut?? And another Death Star set already?! Are these the "great surprises" we were promised? I knew it, the 2022 1HY selection is going to be almost as bland and uninspired as this year's. Looks like the 2HY sets have to save us again

It’d be pretty pointless to bring back the BPs and then immediately undermine them by including troopers in accessory packs as well Based on how these packs usually go, 2 new prints is what can be expected. In other themes, this may translate to two new minifigs (e.g. a new torso print for one minifig and an exclusive face print for the other), but in SW, both prints going to the same minifig is far more likely I think, as torso and face prints can’t be used for other characters that easily Or can you think of two desirable new minifigs that only require one new print each?

Hm, a non-D2C $100 Star Wars set released in January? Have we EVER had that, like in the history of the whole theme? So far, those have always been reserved for the 2HY waves. I wouldn‘t complain, but I need further proof before I buy into that

The Hoth AT-ST sounds pretty decent Between this and the Hoth Scout Trooper, one could think that they initially wanted to release some ROTJ sets before changing their minds, but keeping the set ideas Good thing there aren‘t any Hoth Ewoks

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a SW accessory pack. Since those always have at least 1 or two exclusive prints, they actually have a higher chance of including something new, compared to the BPs even

Guys, you‘re setting yourselves up for disappointment…again…again There‘s nothing to suggest it will be based on Endgame specifically, let alone that Ronin is included. It could just as well be based on TTDW or any other pre-BW MCU film

We don‘t know how many other sets there are, so I‘m not overly optimistic for many non-OT sets. If the next reveals continue like this, it looks like a new pattern emerges with the 1HY sets being 90% OT and the 2HY sets being 90% non-OT How about some balance

Technically, it‘s a new set since they‘ve never done a Hoth AT-ST before, but it only appears on-screen for like 3 seconds And it‘s yet another Hoth set, meaning a new Snowspeeder can‘t be far behind Minifig-wise, this is going to be extremely boring too… I hope the non-OT sets of this wave have something more interesting to offer

I have no idea what exactly this theory is based on. All I know is that Tandnbricks and Hjtproductions over on IG have both hinted at it If the Muppets speculation actually pans out, Disney S3 would be a bit overkill since the Muppets are a Disney property There‘s nothing saying there can‘t be two series from the same company in the same year (in fact, it happened in 2020), but it seems pretty unlikely to me in this instance

My Little Pony. It‘s owned by Hasbro, so its chances are in the toilet from the get-go I think so. Maybe another classic cartoon franchise owned by WB? He also seems to be a fan of Stranger Things, which would be excellent

The excellent points you two bring up are exactly why I‘m conflicted about this: on the hand, we‘re at a point where there‘s only a few characters left that are unlikely to ever appear in regular sets, which is why a Disney S3 would be more valuable. On the other hand, a HP S3 would be the ideal way to give us some DH characters, but as @Alexandrina points out, this might make for a less-appealing series compared to the first two Conclusion? I dunno, just throw us a bone with 2-3 DH sets and we wouldn‘t even have this issue

Hm, while a new licensed CMF series does sound intriguing, this also means that either Harry Potter S3 or Disney S3 got the axe… or both of them Time to check Ashton’s IG account to see what franchises he’s a fan of …besides MLP of course, that one can safely be ruled out
