  1. Looks like a Rancor is going to be included in Boba’s Palace after all …however, it’s allegedly going to be brick-built Come on, what’s wrong with moulded creatures all of a sudden, first the Hungarian Horntail, then Fluffy, and now this There’s no chance in hell it’s going to look as good as the 2013 one, if true.
  2. So where do you think those 30-40 stickers are applied, the roof?
  3. I can’t recall how many projects based on The Office reached 10k (4 or 5?), but three of them were by the same fan designer, whose latest version ended up being the one that was picked this time. Sure, it must suck for the other fan(s), but such dedication simply must be rewarded
  4. Personally, I still hope they completely abandon the "two movies a year + extras" scheme and instead just release sets spread across all of the films ...well, most of them. I've written off DH completely by this point, so I hope they will scratch my OotP itch at least. I mean, how hard is it to finally release some OotP-style Death Eaters? They're supposed to be this franchise's Stormtroopers after all
  5. Grouping this set with the other dioramas is definitely plausible, but the numbering system doesn’t always make sense Sometimes there’s an oddball set sandwiched between others that has no business being there, numbering-wise. And you’re right, the republic tank still has a chance with that particular set number currently being unoccupied. Not betting on it, but not ruling it out either The number might also belong to a cancelled set, seems to happen rather often lately
  6. Brickheadz and accessory packs don't have regular set numbers though
  7. To be fair, the catalogues were not supposed to include the new SW sets They replaced them shortly thereafter with a version without them, but of course it was too late by then Makes sense. Have fun, those of you who live in the UK
  8. Hm, I think you’re right. The proportions are indeed a lot closer to a Scottish terrier
  9. Two new mould prototype pieces seem to have a leaked, a schnauzer and a squirrell They’re on a roll with new animal moulds!
  10. Exactly. Plus, why would they move it from the very lucrative slot in December to February? Sure, it’s not as bad anymore as the dumping zone that is January (thanks in large parts to The LEGO Movie and Black Panther, who both broke the February curse), but still. And it has to be released before DS2
  11. Not sure how a delay is supposed to affect the chances of the theme returning If they hadn’t anything planned for this year in the first place, why would they suddenly decide otherwise just because the film got pushed back almost a year? Or do you mean TLG knew of the delay beforehand and swiftly removed the sets from any catalogues, which would explain why we haven’t heard anything yet? The problem here is that we have no idea how early merchandising partners are informed of such shifts in release schedules. Earlier than the public I would assume, but beyond that? Bold of you to assume 2023 is going to be any less expensive
  12. No. In all likelihood, this is about that large-scale contest that brickfanatics have recently reported about. I guess the storage hall in the picture is supposed to signify the magnitude of the contest. After all, brickfanatics said the prizes would be "huge"
  13. …Are we sure this isn’t just about that competition?
  14. Promobricks has the whole list https://www.promobricks.de/lego-71032-minifigures-series-22-erste-infos/131057/
  15. It’s a toucan, promobricks just confirmed it We’re also getting a foal, about time if you ask me
  16. Not again!! The whole MCU film slate has just been pushed back so that every upcoming film next year takes its successors position Not as bad as Indy has been hit, but still
  17. Well, ****! IJ5 has just been pushed back to June 2023 Just when we thought the delays were finally over
  18. Hmmm, I wonder who those two might be … Seriously though, what is with TLG’s obsession with Claire and Owen It’s like they’re STILL punishing us for complaining about the 2015 JW wave where they were both stuck in the same set
  19. No official source yet, but the pictures can be found in the usual place with the usual hashtag Btw, it’s been exactly one year since the McGonagall minifig from the January wave leaked, so leak season could start any day now
  20. A couple of new activity books have been revealed. No new figs of course, but one of them includes DA Harry + a chocolate frog card tile and another features Neville with his remembrall
  21. That’s definitely one of the biggest issues with a potential Gringotts add-on. If it’s a D2C set, its lifespan wouldn’t overlap all that long with DA, unless the latter’s selling so well it stays on shelves much longer than your average D2C set. Just look at how long the first VW camper van survived, it even had unnumbered bags to the very end If it’s a regular set (albeit a large one), its lifespan could line up with DA’s pretty well without any life extension shenanigans. My point is, they should make sure in either case that the two sets share significant time on shelves because one is not really complete without the other And of course, had they included Gringotts in the DA set, we wouldn’t have this issue in the first place I gladly would have paid $100 more for that
  22. Well, the “release a wave of sets based on the older movies, then another wave for the new one” model hasn’t been used in ages They did it for Star Wars in 1999, the 2008-2009 Indy theme, Toy Story, Cars, and LOTR/The Hobbit, but for other licenses, they either combined the waves into one (PotC, 2018 HP reboot) or simply released sets solely based on the new film (Incredibles 2, the 2015 Jurassic World line, Trolls 2, Minions 2). A combined wave is not that far-fetched I think, even though they probably wouldn’t release sets based on all four of the previous films (unless it’s an 8-set wave or so)
  23. Hm, good point I didn’t realise LB3 was this old already And you’re right, Beyond was nowhere to be seen in DCSV Another good point. Doesn’t explain why they added the trademark so early, but maybe someone slipped up and nobody has noticed until now The TDK trademark was included last October as well and the trademark section as a whole hasn’t been changed since then (and I can’t find an older version on the wayback machine, can’t reach the ‘about’ page from older snapshots of the main website for whatever reason) Yet another fair point. The delay may have caused whatever else they had initially planned for 2021 to get pushed back further. Pretty hard to draw a conclusion here, Looks like we have to wait and see
  24. Guys, don’t get too excited I’m not trying to ruin it for you, but why would they mention that trademark on their website in 2020 for sets released in 2022? I guess the LB3 DLC is why it’s included there. Perhaps there’s a legal reason the show has to be listed separately
  25. Sorry guys, the Batman Beyond situation is most likely a false alarm. I've just consulted the wayback machine and it turns out the trademark blurb was already there last October
