Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
No. The Disney sets have a completely different range of set numbers and never use codenames (other than „Disney“) Also, Buffalo is rumoured to be based on a Netflix IP -

We need a droideka that can actually ROLL. Some of the previous designs were decent, but with the parts that were introduced since then, a rolling function should finally be feasible! -

Ever heard about the difference between opinion and fact? Also, it‘s not exactly polite to outright say that someone has poor taste. -

I feel silly now. „LoOkS LiKe 2024 MiGhT bE ThE fIrSt YeAr SiNcE 2009 To NoT hAvE sEtS bAsEd On A nEw MoViE“, I said. A now we have Despicable Me 4, Inside Out 2, mayyyyybe Moana 2, and Wicked Looking forward to the theme! Definitely interesting to see sets based on a musical. First time, unless you count TLM2 and the opening of TLBM -

Oh yes, the film will get as many sets as The Secrets of Dumbledore, The Flash, Aquaman 2, and Dial of Destiny combined! „You get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!“ -

Sure, but I still don't get what a lack of animals in the MTS set has to do with Barad-dûr potentially being downgraded -

I like what I'm seeing here! I'm not overly familiar with D&D, but as someone who really enjoyed last year's movie and is a big Stranger Things fan, I just have to get this Can't wait to see more details!- 686 replies

It's still a bit like watching a bunch of headless chickens flailing around What next, will Star Wars fans panic over the Moments space set not being on par with what fans anticipated? -
Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Orrrr it was based on the animated movie this whole time As I've said before, there is no evidence to suggest the remake was involved in any way other than initially coinciding with its release (before it then got delayed again to 2025). Of course they tried to take advantage of that! -

Yeah, I also found this when I looked it up in the meantime! So it's definitely possible Vectors appear in the show, but maybe not overly likely, and if they do, who knows if they're prominent enough to warrant a set. Then again, we got an E-Wing set for Ahsoka despite the vehicle's very limited screentime -

While browsing through jedijacpenguin’s list I noticed that we finally know which Ideas sets are which! The NBC set turns out to be 21351 with 2193 pieces, releasing in September The contest winner is 21352 with 1103 pieces, releasing in October Glad to see that the largest set among the 2HY Ideas range is indeed the NBC one, as I was hoping for! This hopefully means we‘re getting as many of the main characters as possible, including Zero and Oogie-boogie! ~1100 pieces seems a bit small for the celebration set, but let‘s see what they do with it! Definitely excited for both of these sets -

The Acolyte is reportedly set 100 years before TPM, making the spoiler character around years old, which makes sense Do Vectors still appear in any of the stories the character‘s involved in? -

Are people seriously panicking over the Barad-dûr set just because they removed most of the animals from the completely unrelated MTS? Barad-dûr‘s a $460 set. It‘s gonna be awesome no matter what! And what would there even be to downgrade? Remove the Eye of Sauron? Besides, the picture quality of this set was by far the worst of all the survey leaks, so it‘s gonna be hard to tell what they changed anyway. If anything, they might have expanded the minifig selection! And even if they haven’t, all we really need are Sauron and some orcs anyway. Everything else is a bonus in my book -

While the show is still set during the High Republic, it's towards the era's end, so are Vectors still around by then? If so, that'd be a great set idea! Really cool design -

And what about the Snow White Cottage that gained two minifigs, several animals, plus the glas coffin? Or the Sorting Hat that pretty much stayed the same? There's zero indication that Barad-dûr will be downgraded in any way! -

I don‘t see anything in the survey leak version indicating it was intended to be based on the live-action remake Didn‘t the decision to feature the dwarves after all happen much later? -

Depends. NH was released three years after the Switch had launched. Then again, the sales were so outstanding I wouldn’t be surprised if a new one came out a lot earlier in the Switch successor’s lifecycle Either way, there’s plenty of ground for the theme to cover! Personally, one of the things I’m hoping for the most is Redd’s ship. No idea if it’s just me, but he’s one of my favourite characters in the games, and his ship from NH could make for a really cool set! Especially if it includes some artwork. Speaking of which: imagine them releasing the real-life paintings as collectible printed tiles! Those would be incredible and super useful, even outside of the AC theme! -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, it‘s gonna be interesting, that‘s for sure! Now with three finalised sets revealed/leaked, we have an equal number of outcomes: A set that‘s almost identical (Sorting Hat) A set that has been expanded with more minifigs, animals, and side builds compared to the prelim (Snow White cottage) A set that had animals and side builds removed (Medieval Town Square) In case of the X-Mansion, it could go another way by having a completely different model and character roster To me, that prelim looked like the prototype for a playset released in 2014, not a D2C set 10 years later. Maybe I‘ll be proven wrong, but I expect significant changes here. -

I‘m not usually rooting against movies since so many people put hard work into them, but I‘m glad the live-action remakes seem to be on the way out None of them were terrible IMO, but also nowhere as iconic and memorable as their animated counterparts The only potential loss I could see in terms of LEGO sets is that they might not release tie-in sets they otherwise would‘ve, but the classic animated movies are so popular, I‘m sure they‘ll sell well without indirect support from remakes or anniversary celebrations. I mean, this year alone we‘ll have the Snow White cottage, the buildable Stitch and Simba figures, plus the NBC and Sorcerer Mickey Ideas sets (and maybe the Maleficent dragon diorama and Donald Duck figures). Not bad at all for a non-anniversary year!
