Don’t take that too literally, it’ll likely be a soft reboot at best, like JW was I can’t imagine them trying to actually hard-reboot the franchise, especially so shortly after JWD. What would even be the point?

It's still pretty funny to me that a set based on the very first feature-length animated film - that made Disney into what it is today - was not released as part of the 100 year anniversary, but rather a year later Sure, there were certainly some strategic decisions behind that (like releasing the witch and the prince in other sets first to help with the budget), but it's still quite funny. This blows many other Disney sets out of the water, and very easily so! I'm not saying it just yet, but there's a good chance this may become my new favourite Disney set (as in set based on a classic animated Disney film)!

I suspect budgetary issues. Ideas has gained a sizeable budget over by the years, but still. The set absolutely required fourteen new minifig prints, seven recoloured hats, and two new beard pieces to do the dwarves justice, and that may have been too much for a single Ideas set Either way, I hope hanwasyellowfirst gets a copy of the set as a consolation prize

It’s dark orange though, the piece doesn’t exist in reddish brown (yet) So we have two squirrels, three birds, one butterfly and one bunny Not as many as we would all like, but still a decent number

Not sure how to feel about it, given how disconnected this film seems to be. Is it a sequel, a prequel, a midquel, a spin-off, or a reboot? Are they working towards a F&F crossover as some lunatics are demanding? Either way, we can look forward to new sets at least!

The back is a lot more open than expected, but the interior looks very cute and cosy to me! Love all the jewels they included here in the appropriate colours The mining scene was always my favourite part as a kid, as I was a huge sucker for anything transparent (and honestly, still am)

Probably one of the most complete packages in TLG's history! Not many sets out there that include the entire cast of a movie minus one character (or two, if you count the magic mirror) I'm pretty happy with the animals included, even though I wouldn't have said no to more rabbits and squirrels!

That’s because there isn’t The Snow White cottage leak today goes to show that there can be quite significant changes between the survey leak prelims and the final products! This is definitely a good sign for the X-Mansion, even though it was already quite obvious before that the final thing will look much better. Not only did the piece count and suggested price range not match that prelim, it would NOT have been worthy of the praise it got from the AT designers Another take-away is the number of minifigs. The final cottage has two minifigs more than the prelim did, so hopefully we can expect something more juicy here as well!

It is! Honestly, I’m not even sure if it’s the same set. Maybe there are two Maleficent dragons, like there are two Simbas?

I‘m really impressed with this! Glad they corrected the roof colour and decided to add some woodland creatures, the coffin, plus Prince Florian and the witch! This really is one complete package The differences to the prelim are quite striking, I wonder if some of the other survey leak sets will have similar deviations…

They weren‘t part of the preliminary version as seen in the survey leak, the set already has 8 minifigs (7 of which being exclusive), and both of them are still available in other sets, so I wouldn‘t expect them here

Because it goes against their brand values. Granted, they've bent their own rules plenty of times, but they've never outright broken them. Releasing sets based on a movie with excessive violence, gore, and explicit language checks three of those boxes Even with an 18+ branding, people must realise that this is just for marketing and doesn't mean the same thing as an R rating. Heck, even the Sesame Street and Winnie the Pooh Ideas sets sport that 18+ label. People trust the brand, and given TLG's track record, producing a set basically tells parents "what this is based on is ok for kids to consume", regardless of recommended age ranges.

Makes sense, considering the movie is (currently) slated for February Definitely looking forward to it, even though I still wish Leader was included!

Do you want me to die? Indeed The news about the Iron Legion set is not surprising, as a Hydra goon makes a lot more sense than an Ultron sentry. Hopefully we’ll still get one of the latter in another set, like the AoU final battle! Yeah, that would make little to no sense! If it’s true though, we definitely shouldn’t expect any minifigs other than Thor (and maybe one other if we’re lucky)

Didn’t the rumours say it’s TROS Finn’s/young Lando’s/Nakia’s hairpiece, rather than the one used for TFA Finn? I’m still over the moon we finally get our Saw minifig!! He was topping my wishlist for anniversary figures, so to actually have him confirmed is surreal. The only way to make this even better would be including TROS Palpy as the book-exclusive character Long shot, I know
