Technically, there was no exclusion, we simply didn‘t get a minifig-scale set We don‘t know exactly how the negotiations between TLG and their licensing partners work, except for a few anecdotes. We know for instance that the LEGO designers have some decision-making power as Disney/Lucasfilm wanted them to do the four-winged shuttle for Rogue One, and the designers argued for Krennic‘s shuttle instead and obviously came out on top in the end Not including the High Evolutionary could‘ve been Disney/Marvel‘s decision/recommendation since they knew what the character was up to.

Just saw Cheesey Studios‘ video on the March sets and turns out the Flying Ford Anglia is a bit more interesting than I thought! Not only are Harry‘s and Ron‘s torsos new, the car itself has been recoloured from medium blue to bright light blue! Never noticed it before he pointed it out

Exactly. We only knew about the change in title, writer, and director, not that Kang's role would be downsized or even removed. That part is definitely new, since previous rumours indicated that Colman Domingo would replace Jonathan Majors Either way, they missed a good chance to release a Kang minifig and while another opportunity may still present itself, I'm not holding my breath.

This discussion just reminded me: how many new characters, if any, can we expect in minifig form this summer? Since we know the Milano and the BP definitely won‘t have any, and most likely neither of the „final battle“ sets, this doesn‘t leave us with many options. Our best chance has to be the X-Mansion then. Well, at least we had Lizard in January and Zola in March! And some much-welcomed updates

We definitely need all of those in general! I‘m surprised tan/beige bunnies aren‘t a thing yet, given that‘s the main colour of the bunny plushie piece Chipmunks are high on my list too, as are raccoons. We‘ve had several versions of Rocket, baby Rocket, plus the CMF costume and the buildable Meeko, yet no minifig-compatible trash panda yet! Personally, I believe the set works very well even without them though. It‘d just be nice to get these pieces somewhere else in the future!

They have, but I don‘t recall the long arms being on the list of to-be-deleted variations (or should we call them „pruned variants“ instead? ) Edit: I just remembered that Robotnik uses the long legs too! They‘re definitely not license-locked then.

The arms might be the same, haven’t inspected them too closely Edit: According to bricklink, the arms are still the same Weird, I could’ve sworn they slightly changed the angle! The legs however are different since the Avatar ones are completely hollow whereas the Toy Story ones weren’t.

My guess would be a buildable figure The 2014 moulded piece certainly isn‘t around anymore (and it was too big anyway), so I expect a new smaller moulded part for the main body and buildable limbs as before The Avatar arms/legs could work too, but so far they haven‘t been used outside of that theme. I highly doubt they‘re license-locked though!

I'd say it's more than just a cameo, it's a rather lengthy and important action scene! We've had sets with vehicles and characters before that had way less significance and screen time in comparison While it's weird to have a set based on a flashback, it's very much welcome!

Neither the Mario nor Minecraft 18+ sets feature minifigs, so I wouldn‘t expect any here either. Yeah, it‘s very likely a buildable figure or object, especially at that low price point

Fair point, the set designers probably don’t get any information like that Unless they were specifically asked not to feature the character by Marvel I think a semi-UCS-style set could do it justice If the Milano does well this summer, I can easily see them giving it a shot in a few years!

I wouldn’t read too deeply into these three villains not having minifigs Kang will likely show up in an Avengers 5/6 set (unless they completely push him into the background), Dar-Benn wasn’t exactly memorable, and the High Evolutionary is an animal abuser and genocidal maniac Ok, the latter is true for many villains, but most of them don’t succeed, unlike him. And then there’s the nice image of what Rocket did to him

I really like how this minifig turned out! The golden printing on the robes looks great and they’ve managed to capture Best‘s likeness very well! Hopefully this means other May minifigs will leak soon too, especially a certain fella who doesn‘t like lies and deception

I always thought that leaked torso was a bit fishy. Still, would‘ve been cool to get an updated version! Fingers crossed it‘s still happening, but it‘s certainly looking less likely now!

I know we‘re joking around about this, but I truly believe the DC theme can be properly revived once the DCU gets off the ground, maybe even to the level where such a set could be more than just a pipe dream Correlation is not causality, but it‘s no coincidence the DC theme rose and declined mostly in parallel to the DCEU. Unless the DCU crashes and burns, I have high hopes for the future!

Definitely at least one set, that‘s what they‘ve always done so far! I wonder what they have in store for us. What I still want from the current system is Roy to finish the Koopalings, can‘t think of much else that‘s missing unless they do some sets based on Wonder. That game introduced a ton of new mechanics and enemies! My money is still on a Mario Kart track-building system.

Not that unusual. Last year, some of the advent calendar minifigs leaked before we had proper information about the summer sets and in 2020, a high-res picture of the 2nd HP CMF series leaked in March Or how about the Space CMF (S26?) that already leaked in the middle of December?

Well, it‘s called „Ideas“ for a reason. What we will get is a set based on the concept of a builable Mickey surrounded by vignettes of classic Didney films. I never expected them to remain the same from the Ideas project

While I wish they continued with more regular minifig sets after last year’s great anniversary range, a yearly D2C set on this level would be a good compromise
