LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Crawler isn’t canon and the Defender only appears in the later seasons of Rebels. Not surprising those two don’t get much love And the TIE Drone cries even harder since you forgot that one! -
Super Mario 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Not all of them, but we can expect at least one set to be revealed! My guess would be the three new starter sets (highlighting the new functions) plus maybe Bowser‘s train -
Super Mario 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Right?! So weird. I remember day-dreaming about Nintendo sets for almost 20 years, and now the Mario theme already celebrates its 5th year! And AC just joined in too! Crazyness I wonder what we can expect in terms of characters this summer. I hope Roy is in there somewhere to finally complete the Koopalings! -

Not having a single new character in the entire wave was already pretty disappointing, but now more so with the lack of updated minifigs even Not sure what the point of the leviathan set is, since all of its contents are already included in the AT. Sure, it‘s nice for people who can‘t afford the tower, but still a disapppoitment for collectors. Also, no Quicksilver or Strucker in the AoU set? Come on! Nobody cares about Hydra goons Minifig-wise, the best set has to be the Milano. Sure, also no new characters, but people have been clamouring for a new Gamora and a grey Drax again, so this is promising! Also, bring back Star-Lord‘s helmet! Pretty please? That said, I don‘t want to complain too much. We‘ve already had Lizard, Rogue, masked Electro, and Zola this year (albeit non-classic versions of the latter two). Plus we‘ll surely see quite a few new characters in the X-Mansion! -

We now have some set names, courtesy of @Brick Clicker: 75580 Banana Car $24.99 75581 Minions Party Bus $39.99 75582 Buildable Minions $59.99 75583 Gru's House $99.99 Pretty strong focus on the minions, unsurprisingly -

We know the anti-leak person they hired is good at their job, but a sting operation?! I doubt they’d go that far. Unless we hear otherwise, I still trust the summer info we have -
Dune 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, Messiah has none of the really weird stuff yet. That only happens from the fourth book onwards That‘s probably why Villeneuve insists that he doesn‘t want to tackle anything beyond Messiah I still doubt we’ll see another set, but I certainly wouldn’t say no to that! -
Super Mario 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

@Brick Clicker bring us news on the 2HY wave: 71433: The Goomba Treehouse $16.99 71334: Wiggler Course Crash $59.99 71335: Peach's Castle $64.99 71336: King Boo's Haunted Mansion $84.99 71337: Bowser's Train $144.99 71339: Mario Starter Course $49.99 71340: Luigi Starter Course $49.99 71341: Peach Starter Course $49.99 71338: 18+ set $169.99 So the assumption of the three $50 sets being new starter courses was correct. Brick Clicker also says the new figures are updated versions that now have a USB connection, potentially replacing the batteries by making them rechargeable. I wonder if there are any other updates! The Bowser Train sounds like the best of the bunch. Makes sense, after we just got his car from 3D World! -

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
@Brick Clicker is back with some rumours!! the advent calendar is Spider-Man-based with a snowman Spider-Ham Drax is grey and Groot is Baby Groot (moulded) The AoU set (76291) is based on the opening scene and NOT the final battle. It includes Iron Man, Cap, Thor with a plastic cape, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk and 3 Hydra agents 76290 includes Hulk, Cap, Black Widow, Loki, a chitauri and a buildable leviathan Edit: Ninja'd! So we went from two rumoured Ultron-related sets to zero. Ouch. At least the Surtur set comes with two minifigs, so the second one could be interesting! -
Animal Crossing - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
Couldn’t agree more! They did such a good job with these sets Everything looks just like in the game, they managed to incorporate things like items falling out of the trees and bell rocks in clever ways, the minifigs are stellar, and everything is printed! The Fabuland vibes I’m getting are very strong too The only drawbacks are the low number of minifigs per set and the lack of player characters. Other than that, this is a fantastic start to this theme! -

Dune 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

The question is though, what else they would do. The most obvious idea is a sandworm-riding diorama, even though it’d have to be microscale to make any sense There are other vehicles too, sure, but while they’re well-designed, they’re not quite as recognisable as the ornithopter That said, I definitely wouldn’t say no to more sets! Part 2 was really impressive, even more so than the first one. Now I’m hoping for Dune Messiah to be adapted as well! Please stop after that though, I don’t need to see , as hilarious as that would be -

Wasn‘t it the same guy who claimed last year‘s swamp speeder would come with Bly? If so, we can safely ignore him. -

Correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I’m aware none of the established leakers have said anything about the set other than Young Leia being included. I believe the „buildable creature“ rumour comes from a semi-reliable source, but none of the other details have been corroborated -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Exactly. There is a clear difference between a rumour and baseless speculation Taking at closer look at the pictures, I have to say I quite like these sets, definitely more than some of the previous ones! -

The two buildable NWH figures were revealed, and I think they look decent for what they are! GG looks a bit too green though, as silly as it sounds Too uniformily green -
Animal Crossing - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sure, but if that‘s the benchmark, not even a yearly CMF would be able to help all that much And the shopkeepers are better served with appearances in sets featuring those shops For this reason, I‘m much happier with the D&D CMF series than I would‘ve been with an AC one this year. We will get all the relevant characters in time Maybe they‘ll start putting more than two minifigs in sets once they have a solid catalogue of headpieces they can repurpose! -
Animal Crossing - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wouldn‘t say no to such a series, but I also don‘t think it‘s really necessary. The theme seems to have a decent budget, so they should be able to introduce quite a few new head pieces each year without having to rely on a CMF series -
This being the Internet, not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not, but if not: Yes, go pester some poor employees with requests and annoy them into compliance, that‘ll work They will surely pour countless resources into a dying theme just to appease some online complainers Seriously though, that’s not gonna work. Requesting a specific set for a highly successful theme and asking for a theme in a downward spiral to be revitalised are two very different things. If you want the DC theme to continue, it’s simple: Vote with your wallets. Support the theme by buying the few sets we are getting!

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

No idea what‘s going on. @Falconfan1414 has been silent for weeks and deleted all his recent leaks and @Brick Clicker also hasn‘t posted a news video in a while. Hopefully it‘s just a bit of a draught! Not that the leakers owe us anything, but we need something to discuss This month has been unusually light on news, for any theme!
