LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Love the big droideka, and the small one looks pretty decent! Looks like a throwback to the very first one with the lever pieces as "eyes", connected by a 1x1 modified plate with rings The diorama is much cooler than expected! Sebulba's pod racer looks sick! Looks like it's the full quote from the other day too -

The hood in dark blue is also featured in quite a few recent Ninjago sets Such a cool-looking set! Love the colour scheme, the modularity, the cool dragon plus the other buildable creatures, all the details, the prints, and of course the minifigs! The only thing missing here is a physical die, but there’s no way to make one this small out of existing elements No biggie, it’s just that seeing all the lifestyle images with the dice in them makes me wish there was one actually in the set- 686 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I highly doubt that. Just look at the poster, with the „darkness rising“ tagline plus the blood-smeared lightsaber The Sith are still clearly meant to be evil. What could happen is Mae (the titular acolyte I suppose?) being conflicted as that‘s a common theme in SW, but her still unknown Sith master will 100% be evil! -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
No idea how credible it is, but is said to be in the race for the role, despite Wouldn't be the first time though something like that happened in the MCU -

True, and it‘s a very good one! But I want a minifig of the MCU version, especially considering who one of the candidates for playing him is -
True! Sauron will be featured in the Barad-dûr set this summer and the shark from Jaws is part of an Ideas set, leaving these two and the Kraken as the only missing cross-over villains from TLBM So sad the sequel got canned. Not only did the synopsis sound crazy, but imagine all the cool sets we could‘ve gotten!

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
It has to be more than one at least! I doubt they‘d include all members of the F4 in the same set The only thing that bothers me here is that a minifig of a certain hooded individual is unlikely to be included since -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Why should there even be more than three sets? Sure, it’s nice to have some supporting characters, but as long as we get the F4 themselves, Herbie, the villain, and a henchman or two, it’s all good, and we don’t need four sets to cover those characters Eternals introduced 10 heroes, so it made a bit more sense to have four sets. And that’s just the minifigs! We don’t even know yet what vehicles or locations will be featured in the film -

Seems rather long though… Maybe just the „feel, don‘t think“ part? -

They look great, but something feels off. Different rendering software maybe? They look less… shiny than usual?- 686 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, that‘s true! There‘s likely not a single new character in any of the summer sets, unless we count Surtur The lack of new MCU movies this year (D&W aside) is truly felt. The X-Mansion is promising though, and the Milano sounds like an excellent set! -
I’d be there day one!! Obviously Can you imagine what they could do with the theme nowadays, with dual moulding and tail pieces and all that?

Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
That‘s a good point, the regular bigfig arms are way too muscular for the troll. And the comically large ears are such an important part of the design they probably shouldn‘t be left out… Maybe all-new parts for everything would be the best solution -

Eh, way too small, as he towers over the trio! Also, the description specifically calls it a bigfig. Plus, it’s a mountain troll! The cave troll is from another franchise -
Oh, I’m not saying the Josstice League version looks good. But at least he doesn’t look like the ugly lovechild of a porcupine and a cheese grater And the Snyder version is still just a brute, only with the added “depth” of wanting to go home. Not really much of an improvement in my opinion, and a thankless role for Ciáran Hinds either way

Exactly. Even comic-based sets can benefit from having popular movies to boost awareness and interest among kids. The current state of the theme is pretty clearly connected to the failure of the DCEU. You cannot expect a theme to thrive that relies on a movie franchise that produced like 7 flops in a row As I’ve said before, our best chance is for the DCU to succeed and get people (and especially kids) interested in a shared DC universe again!

Who is “we”? Speak for yourself, please Sorry to say, but we need movies about individual Batman villains as much as we needed Sony’s awful Spider-Man-less universe, i.e., NOT AT ALL. I’m sick of pseudo-anti-heroes fighting cookie-cutter versions of themselves with the same powers. Let the villains be actual VILLAINS in the heroes’ movies!

Allegedly, the podracing diorama and droideka figure will soon be revealed at a Walmart collector event! While this is much appreciated, I kinda hoped they’d reveal the Grogu set and especially the Sith Infiltrator as well while they’re at it, but alas… -

To those who‘ve built the cottage: did you also have one extra part each for the bright light orange 1x2 slope pieces? I think @Ashnflash did as well, but they‘re not listed as extra parts on Bricklink… -

True, but that‘d be a bit of a roundabout way to describe the Mirror of Erised I hope it‘s meant to be taken literally so we can finally have the enchanted ceiling represented in LEGO form!
