That sounds like a really good figure selection! Excited to see the new versions of Jabba, Crumb, and Max Reebo especially! The last ones were pretty much perfect, so this is gonna be interesting -

Thanks to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, we now know what the D2C set is going to be: a collection of three maxifigs of Sonic, Tails, and a Motobug Glad to see the return of the maxifigs! -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The maxifigs live! It’s not directly relevant for Marvel (for now), but according to recent rumours, three themes this year will get D2C sets featuring maxifigs (DC, Mario, and Sonic). I knew it was too soon to write them off (@Legocentrico) Edit: It could have been an April Fool‘s joke, but it‘s not outrageous enough for that, so who knows -
The secret of the D2C set has been revealed yesterday already by @Lego_Minecraft_Goat. I’ve seen it yesterday, but only just realised it was the D2C set, not that weird 9-in-1 4xxxx set I thought it was So, it’s two maxifigs of Batman & Jonkler plus a Batmobile, based on the 60s show They’re said to be in the style of the maxifigs like Ant-Man, Ares, and Grawp Edit: It could‘ve been an April Fool‘s joke, but leakers have posted real info on that day before, so who knows… Doesn‘t sound too far-fetched!

Super Mario 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Forgot to post this yesterday: According to @Lego_Minecraft_Goat, the D2C set is a collection of buildable characters which sound to be in the maxifig style, including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, a Koopa, and a Goomba Probably the closest thing we’ll get to minifigs for the time being! If you hear faint cursing in the distance, it’s likely @just2good Edit: It could‘ve been an April Fool‘s joke, but it still sounds pretty realistic to me -

Mine too, both in choice and execution! Such a cool minifig, and it's amazing how well they've captured Forest Whitakers likeness! Also, love that new Ani minifig! My favourite version yet, and the 2018 HP hairpiece in dark tan is a great choice -

While I like the concept and execution of the set, I don‘t collect minidoll sets so this is a pass for me Too bad! I might be wrong, but this has to be the first Disney minidoll set outside the Princess line, right? -

A blurry picture of the Gru minifig has leaked! Lack of a nose aside, it‘s a cool minifig! Glad they gave him the scarf piece in LBG rather than using a print like they did with Kid Gru -

Have they though? The Uncharted “leak” was approved by them, but masterminded by Jay’s Brick Blog to see how far a fake rumour can spread. That’s not the same as a sting operation to catch a mole, where they combine real and fake information. Giving up real information is not something they’d risk, so the entire list would’ve had to be fake And of course nobody argued that, because people want the other sets to be real -

Unless the full-sized one came with another desirable minifig It‘s a bit of a moot point though since there‘s nothing indicating the set is not gonna be a buildable creature, as rumoured Exactly. This whole sting operation conspiracy idea is just ridiculous As silly as these two sets sound (they even made me laugh out loud when the rumours started), they are infinitely more plausible than that alleged conspiracy. -

Still, why put out a partially correct set list then? Did someone at TLG really think, "yeah, let's spill the beans on these other sets, Lucasfilm/Disney surely won't mind, it's worth sacrificing them to catch a leaker ". In my mind, it's either all true or all fake. -

Stranger things have happened. Pun intended Yes, they do sound like jokes, but that makes a sting operation even less likely. It‘s basically a neon sign flashing „FAKE”, so no insider would fall for that -

Yeah, that “cry for help“ is obviously nonsense It‘s not written in Falconfan‘s style, and I seriously doubt he‘d talk about the issue using an unsubtly named sock puppet account. It’s the equivalent of disguising yourself with a fake beard with the price tag still attached Also, funny how often people accuse the rumours they personally dislike of being fake If TLG really pulled a sting operation by spreading different information, why would only the Dark Falcon and Jedi Bob sets be fake, rather than the entire list? And why didn’t we hear about any other fake lists? Because if this really was a trap to determine a spy, there would be alternate lists somewhere. -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
On the one hand, getting harassed over a picture of a set that will never see the light of day sucks and is supremely silly if you think about it. People should accept and respect others' boundaries. On the other hand, why did he put his watermark on the image if he never intended to share it with anyone in the first place? So yeah, we will likely not see the full image now. Sucks for the customisers! -
Indeed. We don‘t even know for sure what the 4+ set is based on! I for one am glad we’re finally getting some DC minifigs again that aren’t Batsy, Jonkler, and Harley. Sure, no new characters to be seen anywhere and I highly doubt the October D2C set will change that, but I do appreciate the new variants

Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
If those two even are TLW sets in the first place For all we know, they might just as well be based on Chaos Theory or simply be TLG’s own creations again I’d definitely like a TLW tie-in wave, especially since there are quite characters that don’t appear in other movies that would make for cool minifigs -
Why do we keep going in circles here? Unrealistic set ideas, aslume jokes, Marvel vs DC, the failure of the DCEU, aslume jokes, hopes for the DCU, aslume jokes, reasons why the DC theme is in the state it‘s in, unrealistic ideas, comments about the state of the thread just like this one, rinse and repeat. Oh, and aslume jokes. And mayyyyyyyyybe a sprinkle of actual set discussions once in a while How did we get here?

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
It’s a 2-in-1 set, which needs to be factored in There seem to be quite a few parts that can only be used for one of the two models! We don’t know what the time window for the minifig design process looks like, but I’m fairly certain the roster has already been locked in place a while ago. We’ve seen a few very early minifig factory leaks before (like the worm guy’s head from Trolls leaking around 6 months ahead of the set’s release) or the packaging of the 2nd HP CMF series with finalised designs, which leaked more than 6 months ahead of schedule. In my opinion, this makes it highly unlikely that the leakers’ intel is outdated -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I‘m still wondering why they used a super-outdated picture of the X-Mansion for the survey, especially when all the others (so far) were much closer matches. The point of the survey was to find out acceptable price ranges, so why show a prelim of a completely different, likely planned but cancelled set that‘s obviously a lot smaller and less sophisticated than the real deal? As far as the number of figures is concerned, 10 is pretty low, but not that surprising considering they don‘t have that many minifigs they can fully or partially recycle here -

While I’d definitely like to see some TLW sets (since it’s technically the only JW movie not to have any), I doubt this is it Nothing about the stego set indicates what it’s based on, and while the trailer itself does sound like TLW, the black and blue T-Rex certainly does not Sure, TLG tend to go for more eye-popping colours with a lot of their creatures, dinos included, but this would be reallllllly far off from what we see on screen -

Granted, it could be removable, but I doubt they‘d introduce a new hairpiece so similar to the existing one, just with an accessory hole Then again, they did just that with the Phase 2 Clonetrooper helmets No, it’s the runner’s from S25
