  1. Hooray for @Renown still being with us! As for the hint, it has to be about a regular minifig since we now know all of the anniversary ones. The only sets with some still unidentified minifigs are Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, the Death Star playset, and the Dark Falcon (plus the Skeleton Crew ship, but we know nothing about the characters yet). None of them have obvious options though. The Falcon minifigs are non-canon (apart from Dark Rey), so how could one of them be confidently called brainwashed, the DS set has no clear candidates either, and the Jedi Bob set even less so. Unless there’s a set we’re unaware of?
  2. At the latest, I‘d say! Could be any day now!
  3. Highly doubt it. The design work on the Maleficent minidoll set started roughly a year ago, by which point the Castle wasn‘t even launched and the clamshell had just hit shelves. They can‘t completely overhaul a set this spontaneously and with no real sales data to work with. Besides, the success of any given set (or most toys for that matter) can only really be assessed after Xmas, given how many of them end up under a tree
  4. At this point, we‘re expecting official reveals, the time for leaks has run out
  5. In a week, the sets will likely be fully revealed, too late for leaks
  6. Indeed. The August wave is utter insanity in parts (in a good way!), but overall I‘m more looking forward to the June wave, especially the two Mando sets and the Skeleton Crew ship, even though I suspect that one might get delayed again
  7. We‘ve been over this multiple times. It‘s R-rated, so no tie-in sets, simple as that. They don‘t want to advertise inappropriate movies to kids, which they inadvertently would if they produced sets. And no, an 18+ label wouldn‘t fix it considering we‘ve had Winnie the Pooh and Sesame Street boxes with that age recommendation Brand safety and image can be more valuable than short-term profits.
  8. Don‘t forget the Y-Wing microfighter and Luke mech, those are also scheduled for June! Since they‘ve revealed August sets as early as April before, I think it‘s possible they‘ll show at least one of the August sets too! Even if not, the June wave alone would be exciting enough for me
  9. The sets are available on s@h Pretty weird release date, but I‘m not complaining
  10. The set could still be released next year as the concepts are too dissimilar to be the same set I highly doubt they turned an 18+ diorama set with a brickbuilt Maleficent dragon and minifigs into a 6+ minidoll playset with a dragon with moulded pieces
  11. The descriptions most likely stem from these catalogues, the names are from listings
  12. They stopped publicly showing sets at toy fairs to avoid bootleggers stealing the designs. They’ve become so fast, they may release their copies before the real thing does! As for catalogues, same reason, and we don’t see leaks anymore because they cracked down on the offenders. Retail catalogues now have huge personalised watermarks across every page, so if a picture leaked, it’s obvious which shop did it and they’d be punished. Personally, I’m fine with this, as long as we still get set names and descriptions. If they target those too, all the fun would be sucked out of our discussions
  13. Not sure how reliable stu._d on IG is, but he recently said in his story that the Falcon ist mostly black with DBG accents and has a trans-red windshield. Yeah, sounds pretty evil to me
  14. How would anyone confuse those two though? My money is still on R2-KT being falsely identified as an anniversary figure. TLG have been more cautious lately with what they do and don‘t call „minifigures“, and astromech droids are referred to as „droid figures“ in the set descriptions. The anniversary minifigs are specifically called „minifigures“ on the website, so by that logic, R2-KT shouldn‘t be considered as one
  15. I seriously hate the current “wHaT iF SuPeRmAn, BuT EvIiIiLlLlL” trend. It honestly can’t die soon enough. Some people still act as it if it was subversive, cool, edgy, original or whatever when it’s already been so done to death that a classic, non-brooding, hopeful, down to Earth version of Supes without silly Jesus imagery will feel like a breath of fresh air I’m convinced SUPERMAN (the new title of Gunn‘s movie, no Legacy anymore) will right the ship and revive this theme. Optimistic, yes, but I trust Gunn with this. The Snyderverse wasn’t all bad, but its stink finally needs to go
  16. Well, there’s no guarantee we’re getting a new modular next year in the first place Sure, there’s been one every year since 2021, but that doesn’t mean it’s still continuing as a yearly thing Next year’s D2C set might as well be a new Helicarrier
  17. But how can a train set be standalone without a locomotive? So it’d be the same set basically, just without the locomotive or the coal thingie? And there‘d be another big issue besides @JeanGreyForever‘s point, namely the interior. One of the main features of the HE set are the scenes with the quotes on top. Which other scenes would an expansion depict? The Death Eaters stopping the train in DH1?
  18. They‘d never sell a set that absolutely requires already owning another one, let alone at this price point. I’ve said the same thing about a microscale Hogwarts extension before, but this would work even less NOBODY would buy this set unless they have the other one. Plus the sales would have to be below the HE’s since not every owner of that set would go out and buy the extension.
  19. 2 points about that: The two random students didn’t have any new prints or pieces, so it’s not comparable to random professors or ghosts who’d definitely need that. Making unnamed characters out of existing parts makes sense, spending part of the theme’s budget on them does not The choice was not between these two students who added nothing to the budget and adult Ron & Hermione who would’ve needed four new prints. If you wanna blame other minifigs for their exclusion, blame some of the ones that did get new prints
  20. My point is just that it wouldn’t make much sense to give us unnamed professors, students, and ghosts when there are still quite a few named ones they could do first I doubt there are many people who’d prefer random teacher #5 over Vector or random ghost #3 over the Bloody Baron. Sure, their screentime may be comparable, but the fact they’re named helps
  21. Only after we got at least one version of each of the named characters Even random unnamed characters would require new prints and recoloured pieces, so it’d be kinda silly to spend part of the budget on that when we still have missing named characters
  22. I must rewatch the movies at some point because I really thought the only ghosts we see are the four house ghosts and Myrtle Whoopsie. Still, I refuse to believe they’d include a random ghost and some unnamed extra over actual named characters
  23. Exactly, there isn’t any wiggle room! Either the new rumour is wrong, or either Young Leia or R2-KT aren‘t part of the anniversary roster after all. If Leia isn‘t an anniversary fig, her set would have to be LO-LA, which is kinda too late However, R2-KT not being counted as one of the six would make some sense, since she‘s technically not a minifig and the only character not to be included in a regular set.
  24. The current rumour is 10, so there’s no reason to expect more, unless you want to be disappointed
  25. Both dwarves have mid-legs (i.e., the cleric in the set and the barbarian in the CMF), whereas the halfling druid in the CMF and the gnome fighter in the set both have short legs. It’s all consistent
