The latter. An OT Stormie BP would be pretty lame IMO, but a Mando one with an Incinerator Trooper? Sign me up -

Even if they brought back the Range Trooper helmet, it has too many angled surfaces that would need to be printed That piece has been out of production for ages and would look absolutely terrible in my opinion -

Hmm, now I wonder which helmet they're repurposing It has to be one with a flat surface to print the "face" on, which there aren't too many of... The phase 2 CT or TIE Pilot helmet maybe? Neither would look fantastic, but as long as it's not the ANAD Iron Man helmet, it'll be okay I guess -

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
16 out of 18 minifigs from that series are still exclusive, and for the other two, at least their accessories still are. Also, this isn‘t a new thing since Donald from S1 also showed up in the first Disney castle, I just remembered. Plus, I don‘t see a reason why CMF figures absolutely have to stay exclusive. If it makes sense for specific parts (like the bard‘s torso and coins) to reappear, why not entire figures here and there? It‘s still an exception rather than the norm and a vast majority of CMF figures will never show up in sets no matter what -

They do though. Both Tiana and Aurora from the Disney 100 series have been reused in other sets (the former in last year‘s Cinderella castle and the latter in this year‘s mini Sleeping Beauty castle). The only things still exclusive about their CMF versions are their accessories -

Hopefully, yes! I was about to say that Charlie has never appeared in the films other than on that holiday picture, but then I remembered we‘re getting a highly-detailed Mme Malkin minifig this week, a character which has never shown up on screen in any form And TLG was allowed to make up a design for Sauron‘s face too! So yeah, I‘m sure WB would have no issue with the designers making up a Charlie minifig from scratch! -

Tiana and Aurora would like to have a word The change in the production procedure of CMF series is a two-edged sword. On the one hand, the pieces are now on the same quality as regular parts and everything‘s interchangeable, but on the other, they‘re no longer guaranteed to be exclusive. Personally, I don‘t mind the reduced exclusivity. The gain in quality is well worth it! -
For real. Zaslav cancelled the completely finished Coyote vs ACME movie despite it screentesting very well, for crying out loud. But what can you expect from the ultra moron that gave the world Honey Boo Boo… Niche as it might be, DC and Looney Tunes crossover characters featuring in a follow-up CMF series would be awesome. Green Loontern was a playable character in LEGO Batman 3 after all, and we‘d have a lot of the necessary parts thanks to the first series!

I expect it to look very similar, since a lot of the finalised survey leak sets are virtually identical to their preliminary versions. The main differences are the omitted animals in the Medieval Town Square, the changed roof colour in the Snow White cottage, the transformation of the Maleficent diorama into a playset, and the complete change of the X-Mansion As long as Bill‘s included, I‘ll be a happy camper! -

Too many shows can also harm movies, as evidenced by Marvel. Granted, the SW shows did a much better job than the Marvel ones IMO, but still. As much as I like Mando and Ahsoka especially, SW belongs on the big screen for me Ideally, we‘d have a new movie and a new season of a live-action show in alternating years, with animated shows sprinkled in-between. -

Agreed. JWD was delayed due to the pandemic, and there‘s currently nothing to indicate that the upcoming film will end up getting postponed as well. Granted, the schedule is very ambitious, but I doubt Universal would announce a date if they didn‘t think they could make it And if it does get delayed, we‘d have a very funny set line-up next year since now would be pretty much the last chance to come up with a replacement wave. If the delay is announced in autumn or winter, it‘d be too late by then. -
Latest news about Lego animal moulds
BrickBob Studpants replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Glad to see another one, but this comes as a pretty big surprise to me! Regular animal pieces are a rare sight in Friends set (especially since a Friends owl piece exists, albeit not a smowl), and the print isn't even Friends-ified! If we hadn't already seen most of the HP sets this year, I would now totally expect it to show up in one of them- 5,874 replies

This could also simply be a reference to the DA D2C set, which still hasn’t reached its EoL yet I’m surprised we haven’t had a new version since 2021 yet, as the hairpiece introduced in the BTS set would be perfect for him! -

Since this mostly concerns Marvel, I don‘t expect much of an impact on SW, which has way fewer projects overall. Maybe it’ll be one new season each year rather than two. Personally, I hope they shift the focus back on movies rather than shows, which seems to be the case already anyway LEGO-wise, I don’t think there will be any difference since a vast majority of sets each year is based on previous material anyway -

I’m wondering about that as well. A lot of the DA/KA shops aren’t well-known enough to carry their own set, I’m afraid. Gringotts, Flourish & Blotts, and Borgin & Burkes seem like the best candidates to me, which could each be accompanied by a lesser-known shop -

Exactly. I’d expect 6 sets based on the new movie, another skull/brick-built dino, plus two others (JP, JW, or CT) -

Late September or early October would be my guess. The set itself may inadvertedly show up in a store early (as has happened multiple times before with D2C sets) or the minifigs could look leak around late August, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for either of these scenarios -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
BrickBob Studpants replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
True, codenames for themes have little to no bearing on anything, but this might be different since it’s the codename for a single Icons set rather than a theme Still, you’re raising a fair point! -

Doubtful at best. These catalogues have become useless and basically only feature sets already on shelves by the time they get released The Jan-June one for instance didn’t even showcase the already revealed March sets! So yeah, I highly doubt there’s anything noteworthy in there. Funny to think that this was how the 2021 August sets were “leaked”, essentially ruining the reveal scheduled for LEGO Con. Maybe that’s why they stopped showing new sets in there -
