  1. True, codenames for themes have little to no bearing on anything, but this might be different since it’s the codename for a single Icons set rather than a theme Still, you’re raising a fair point!
  2. Doubtful at best. These catalogues have become useless and basically only feature sets already on shelves by the time they get released The Jan-June one for instance didn’t even showcase the already revealed March sets! So yeah, I highly doubt there’s anything noteworthy in there. Funny to think that this was how the 2021 August sets were “leaked”, essentially ruining the reveal scheduled for LEGO Con. Maybe that’s why they stopped showing new sets in there
  3. Sometimes within the same set even! @Ashnflash had three copies of the same portrait in the GH set
  4. I think they‘ll be included in next year‘s sets as well, just like the chocolate frog cards continued for an additional year The grand staircase tower for instance just asks for it!
  5. Except the codename is „Clown“, so how would that make sense? Granted, Skinner is a clown, but not a literal one
  6. No, there’s also a GWP set, but we don’t know yet if it’s tied to the Burrow or not
  7. @TandNbricks is a believable source, so I‘m cautiously optimistic! Since there‘s a ten year gap between this and the last offerings, I hope they won‘t „waste“ too many spots on characters we‘ve had before. But if the two LOTR D2C sets are any indication, there should be a healthy mixture of redesigns and new characters!
  8. Put these two sentences together and we have the likely answer @TandNbricks implies it‘s a Simpsons set! Admittedly, I‘m sceptical about rumours of a 2025 Icons set this far in advance, but TandN has a good track record, so I‘m cautiously optimistic. Well, even without the Simpsons hints, it‘s unquestionably an Icons set. A DC D2C set would have a set number in the normal Superheroes range, not 10XXX
  9. Good thing we know this is not a DC set, otherwise I wouldn't put it past them
  10. Has that ever happened though? Sure, we had false rumours before (like the Tower of Fate that turned out to be Thor's hammer instead), but we've known all the set numbers this year for quite some time, including retail exclusives, GWP sets, and D2C ones. I wouldn't get my hopes up
  11. It‘s a shame the 2011 GL movie harmed the brand the way it did since there‘s so much potential here, not only film-wise but also in terms of sets! I still don‘t understand why they keep insisting on making a show out of it rather than movies though. Earth-based GL stories sound very limited in scope and the effects do require quite a sizeable budget! Hopefully Gunn does something cool with Guy next year, even though he will likely be a comedic side character
  12. There are no unknown Disney sets for the rest of the year in general, minifigs or not, except for 40749, which seems to be a GWP set
  13. Fair point. Noses, ears, and fingers do exist in the LEGO universe, but how they‘re handled varies quite a bit Elves have ears, Pinocchio and Voldemort (ironically) have noses, and a lot of SW alien minifigs feature both. Personally, I wouldn’t mind if they kept Enoch’s nose, but I also wouldn’t miss it if they decided against having it. Enoch is likely a human (or at least near-human), so removing it from his helmet would be consistent with most human minifigs, but then again, it’s only the helmet, which we have no other examples of They don’t usually modify helmets much…
  14. Exactly. The sets themselves are awesome, but boy is this the most boring range of minifigs we‘ve ever seen in a Marvel summer wave I appreciate the updated designs (and the fire demons), but would it have killed them to include Kraglin or Howard the Duck in the Milano to spice things up a bit? Or at least include new variants of characters we haven‘t seen in ages, like Quicksilver, Strucker, or Ultron? It is what it is tho. Still a great wave overall!
  15. Huge bummer to hear that, as I was stil looking forward to that one The decision must‘ve been made after the survey leak, as it wouldn‘t have made much sense to feature a cancelled set in there
  16. That‘s the main issue. Enoch is the only SW character I can think of who wears a helmet with a realistic moulded nose Including it would likely look pretty silly, but omitting it would leave out an important detail… Not sure what they‘re gonna do.
  17. The Ezra minifig leaked as well! Wrong hairpiece, but it looks good Fingers crossed for Enoch next!
  18. I‘m sure the theme will provide some nice-looking sets if they‘re on par with the recent Friends offerings and we‘ll likely get quite a few interesting new parts out of it if the teaser‘s any indication, but it‘s still a bummer it‘s a minidoll theme I get why they went this route tho
  19. The Peridea set is definitely the one I‘m looking forward to the most out of the entire August wave! One new character, two sought-after new versions, and two very welcome new variants. Still sounds too good to be true, but I‘m glad it isn‘t! Too bad there‘s no Nighttrooper BP to accompany it though, so we‘ll have Thrawn and Enoch without any of their troops At least for the time being.
  20. The new Thrawn minifig leaked! Dual-moulded legs and the correct rank insignia this time!
  21. I‘ll buy all the sets since I‘m a completionist (sort of). In fact, I‘ve already pre-ordered the June wave! My favourites are the skyline, BTAS Batmobile, and very likely the 60s Batmobile. I don’t hate the 4+ set, but it’s a nothing-burger to me Just lame. Next year, we‘ll ideally get at least 3 Superman sets, covering not only the main characters we‘ve seen many times before (Supes, Lois, Lex), but also side characters like Guy Gardner. And hopefully more BTAS sets! They just barely scratched the surface this year.
  22. I get it, there’s not much on-topic stuff to talk about, but sometimes I do wonder why this thread seems to be the only one on EB where this level of off-topic nonsense is not only tolerated, but encouraged The inmates are truly running the asylum.
  23. We already know it’s gonna be minidolls though Same as Wednesday. Unless the leakers got it wrong, which is possible, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up
  24. I don‘t think the odds are in our favour for show-based sets. When even the Marvel shows barely get any coverage outside of CMF series, what chance do DC shows stand? We should consider ourselves lucky if most of the DCU movies get sets!
  25. I like the sound of that line-up! Sure, there‘s a ton of repeats, but finally having Prof X and Gambit plus a more affordable Jean is so cool And Morph is a nice addition as well!
