I‘m wondering how many versions of Batsy can theoretically be built with one copy of the 8-in-1 Brickheadz set, ignoring the grey SNOT bricks, the parts used for the base, and the 2x2 brain brick It just seems wasteful to buy 8 sets, given the large number of extra parts. Since the colour scheme is pretty different for some of the versions, I suppose it‘d be possible to build all 8 with only 4-5 copies of the set plus some additional parts

From what we know, they don‘t, and I don‘t blame them for not wanting to pay an additonal fee for characters they can already make sets for, albeit different versions Spider-Verse and Raimi trilogy sets would be awesome, no doubt, but Sony would definitely crave a share of that pie -

In my eyes, keeping the D2C and regular sets independent from each other is a good idea though. The (usually) longer availability of D2C sets combined with the higher price segments and their exclusivity do not gel too well with normal playsets Besides, we have so many castle sections already. I‘m glad they‘re trying different things with the D2C sets -

Quite a broad range of potential figures! I‘d love if we got all of them, but that‘s not exactly likely -

I like the model a lot! The bee tile behind the windscreen is a really cute addition too -

It‘s a tad early for 2025 rumours, but exabricks is hinting at something related to the airport battle from CA:CW for next year (at least that‘s what I gather from the GIF he posted in combination with „2025 is gonna be crazy“) -

*sad Peridea and 3PO noises* I hope they reveal all of them at once The staggered reveal like in 2020 was neat, but I feel it‘s too late for that now. Just show us the goods, you cowards -

To counter, I‘d say even the lower end of the price range is wayyyy higher than what the sketched model would have been priced at. Besides, the description included the piece count, didn‘t it? It was also around 3000 if I recall correctly, and that puny sketch can’t have been even close to that So either the designer collossally failed their assignment by providing a tiny sketch for a 3000 piece D2C and whoever was responsible for the survey just went with it, or the model was not in a presentable form yet and so they went with an old sketch for a cancelled playset instead I may be wrong of course, but in my estimation the latter is more likely. -

Oh, I haven‘t even thought about that! That could be pretty neat, if done similarly to the mini Quinjet from last year‘s AT -

The roughness of the model can be accredited to the timeframe, true. But that’s not my point, what I’m getting at is that it’s too small and facade-like to be a sketch for a big D2C set. Even a rough sketch should at the very least get the footprint and basic structure right -

Why? Because of the price? Personally, I‘m looking forward to it quite a bit. The exterior of the prelim looked fantastic, and the larger scale allows for a lot more details to be included, and the 2020 one was already very detailed! -

No, since they don’t typically reveal sets on weekends. Maybe they really wanna punish us this year and won’t unveil them before July 1st -
Unpopular Opinions about LEGO

You can say that again Man, people on here were NOT kind to Exo-Force, Power Miners, Agents, or Ninjago when they first came out. Power Miners in particular was torn to shreds for its colour scheme. Also hilarious in hindsight, as I distinctly remember comments about how Ninjago was thought to be a cheap Beyblade and Power Rangers knock-off that would be the biggest flop in TLG's history and very quickly forgotten Whoopsie. -

Yes. JUST LOOK AT IT There's no way this is a sketch for a $300 D2C set in the year 2024. I know prototypes can be pretty different, but if this was the result of being tasked with creating a sketch of a D2C X-Mansion, I'd consider it a failed assignment. And then there's the minifig selection, which would fit much better with other sets from 10 years ago -

Indeed It's hilarious how OP Kirby is, literally eating gods for breakfast while technically still being a BABY. Kirby lore is something else, I tell ya. If they did Kirby playsets, the figures would have to be more akin to the Angry Birds ones since most Kirby characters are far from humanoid. I'd also be happy with a giant brick-built figure -
The Penguin show just got a release date, namely September. Still not sure what to think of the idea, as I’m really interested in this version of Batsy, but I’d rather they stick to movies (especially when HBO Max, sorry, MAX, is still unavailable in a lot of countries). I hope not seeing it has no bearing on The Batman II Also, we should consider ourselves lucky they didn’t rename it to “The Penguin: The Origin of one of Batman’s Villains” or some shit, like those baffoons did with the Alfred show

…I miss the days of Snoke theories. Stupid as they were, they were still better than the drivel that passes as a theory or rumour these days Some people really have nothing better to do than come up with obvious BS designed to rile people up and of course they are eating it up *sad SD noises* But yeah, the pictures are pretty much overdue! Looks like they learned from the last coupla years, where the August sets were revealed thanks to the 2HY catalogue multiple times. -

I’m also glad TLG don’t forsake their brand values in favour of making a quick buck with sets based on M-rated games, unlike their competitors What I personally want to see the most (apart from more AC and Zelda sets) is a Kirby theme. It’s my favourite video game franchise to this day and having sets based on it would be a dream come true -

That prelim still confuses me. Why did they include a picture of a cancelled playset in the survey rather than a sketch of the actual model? Sure, the set is the very last out of all 12 to be released (assuming the Donald one was cancelled and not postponed to 2025) and was thus not as polished as some the others, but still. The point of the survey was to determine prices, and you won't get useful results with a prelim this inaccurate. Unless they cared more about what customers may be willing to spend on an X-Mansion as a concept, rather than this particular version
