Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

The Jack Skellington minifig leaked! I‘m glad they brought back the bat tie piece, and the long arms and legs work really well here The leaked figure‘s missing the waist coat cloth piece, but allegedly it‘ll be included in the set! -

Sorry, I completely forgot about it Thank you, @mark1991t, for providing a picture! -
Don’t you see, comic book movies need to be DARK, EDGY, SERIOUS, and HYPERREALISTIC. No fun allowed Superpowers? Nah. All we need is a sad lonely billionaire with parental issues dressed as a flying mammal beating up mentally ill criminals. That‘s the only valid form of entertainment …seriously though, as much as I like Batsy, there are different flavours of CBMs, and that‘s a good thing. I for one am immensely looking forward to a Superman film with actual Superman in it, rather than Sadman

That sounds like something Gunn would do The leaked costumes are a bit …questionable, but given that both of them feature , it‘s reasonable to assume there‘s a story reason for how they look here. Maybe the classic suits also show up in the movie People are already jumping the gun(n) though. We can‘t judge a movie while it‘s currently still in production.

I think it was initially supposed to be released last December and was then delayed by a full year, hence it switching positions with The Acolyte Towards the end of the year sounds plausible to me. That, and Stranger Things, which the show is often compared to (which is of course itself inspired by a ton of 80s movies) This leak made me feel very nostalgic. It’s a nice throwback to all the times when we would first learn about the names of new SW characters through LEGO leaks, like Ahsoka, Rex, Zeb, Tasu Leech, and many more Curious there‘s no villain included since it could potentially be the only set based on the show. Then again, we don‘t even know what kind of enemies the kids will face. Well, except for -

So much for the Onyx Cinder being cancelled The ship deviates quite a bit from the concept art that was revealed ages ago, but I like it! The minifigs are the clear highlight though. Nice to finally have a Jude Law minifig after they skipped Youngledore and Yon-Rogg -

Yeah, but I don’t expect us to be lucky enough for the one figure we actually want to be wrong to turn out that way I seriously hope so, but for the moment I’m fully expecting a Mon Cala head on a CT torso + legs. -

I know you‘re joking, but that‘s what they actually think Pathetic. I really like the Azure-Angel-esque design, but it’s still not ranking that high among the August sets for me, mostly due to the minifig selection. Jedi Bob is cool and all, but that Mon Cala Clone is super lazy (unless the recent leak’s just a mockup and not the actual figure) -

It‘s still scheduled for August, as far as I know. Maybe they‘re waiting for a teaser to drop first? Or they might reveal it at SDCC, even though that‘d be unusually close to the release date, at least for a regular retail set -

The Jaws set looks awesome! Such a cool idea to turn it into a diorama with the option to display the shark separately Also, nice recolour of the new hair-hat piece from Dreamzzz! -

How so? Just compare it to last year’s August wave. The Swamp Speeder BP and N-1 microfighter were nothing to write home about, Yoda‘s Jedi starfighter was a boring remake, and Yavin was pretty neat, but nothing too spectacular. My personal favourite was the spider tank How any of that can compete with the combined might of Thrawn, Darth Jar-Jar, Jedi Bob, Cal Kestis, and Nien Nunb is beyond me -

I can‘t help but chuckle every time I see the „company hates their own product!“ argument That is not how companies operate. If a theme has a smaller budget, that‘s simply because it doesn‘t do as well as others. Those decisions are purely financial, not due to personal animosities or preferences. Also, keep in mind that Marvel and DC share their budget. -

Same! This is among my favourite sets this year, along with the Mando S3 sets and the Infiltrator If they release a BP, it could be one of the most unique ones yet with a mix-and-match approach Even with just 2-3 unique helmet, torso, and leg prints, you could pretty quickly amass a nice-looking non-uniform army! And don’t tell me they wouldn’t give us multiple different helmets when they’ve done like 5 unique ones just for 501st Clonetroopers -

Just got the new visual dictionary today, and turns out Cedric has a new alternate faceprint that shows the air bubble he uses to breathe underwater! Pretty neat -

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one! So nice to see a zombie faceprint for the Nighttrooper! -
You just answered your own question And they’re repeating that mistake by dumping the new show on Prime Granted, Prime is doing better than other streaming platforms, but they still limited its potential audience with this move. I still can’t fathom WB selling a friggin BATMAN show to the competition. The idiot in charge really has it out for animation, doesn’t he.

Honestly, not before you brought it up I don’t see it as a problem though. It’s not like they have a yearly quota of location sets, cruisers, starfighters, interceptors, speeders, and walkers/tanks to fulfill Also, a lot of the classic walkers or tanks are either still on shelves or have retired rather recently. -

True, but it doesn’t matter. It would count I don‘t think he will though, and as you say, it‘s not likely Andor S2 will even get sets in the first place Kaecilius is way more likely than Galen ever was. Grindelwald and Voller have no chance since TLG skipped those movies and ditched the respective (sub)franchises, while Le Chiffre only would‘ve made sense if they started to do 007 sets outside of Icons or Speed Champions cars -

Does anyone know if reddish copper has been discontinued (maybe through LAN or a blog post somewhere since that’s how we usually learn about colour discontinuations)? It hasn’t appeared since 2020, but has been used rather sparingly even then. I’m asking because I realise I was wrong: they recently unveiled a replica of the Stranger’s helmet and it actually is copper Dark pearl grey, as I suggested, would be completely off. -

Good one Actually, there’s another one I think I brought up before, but I’ll tag it as a spoiler anyway: Rumour has it he might be in talks to play , but I’m taking this with an enormous grain of salt. The Marvel rumour mill isn’t exactly what it used to be And even if it’s true, we’d have to wait a looooooong time for a minifig of that character So long in fact, Mads might be cast in another franchise and receive his minifig that way (like Jurassic Park 8, a voice role in a Pixar movie, etc) -

That one’s been at the top of my wish list ever since the Infinity Saga subtheme started. GIVE MADS MIKKELSEN HIS DANG MINIFIG YOU COWARDS! His brother Lars will soon have two, despite Mads having had roles in 5 major franchises TLG make sets for! Granted, Lars’ are the same character twice, but still I can’t help but wonder if that ever gets brought up at family meetings. It’s a question of national pride! -

I like the design quite a bit and appreciate how similar in style it is to the SW ones released earlier this year, but that price admittedly is a tough pill to swallow I wouldn‘t say it‘s completely irrelevant. Sure, it hasn’t appeared on screen in almost 10 years, but it‘s still a classic design from the early phases of the Infinity Saga. Plus we‘re getting other sets from that same era in this wave as well
