  1. @valenciaeric I'll take a photo tomorrow of both @aminnich I think it's additional protection for the instructions and the stickers, too many bags wandering around in the big box could damage it even if it's wrapped.
  2. @I_Igor I don't remember any new parts, there're pieces in new color which I didn't see yet, but I'll have a look tomorrow in details. @schraubedrin I totally forgot to show the working steering wheel separately in the video, it's a cool feature I agree :) It'll be easy to make it RC I agree. @JGW3000 I was surprised too to see another steering wheel, it's a support for the roof I think.
  3. Video about the Mack is posted in the 42078 topic if you're interested:
  4. As the Mack has it's own topic I won't create another one, hopefully everyone finds the video here. I tried this time to review all the functions in details and provide also my view. Sorry, still no new parts in the video, I'll have a look later, did not sleep much. I was also impatiently waiting for more than an hour until YouTube was kind enough to update the video to 1080p instead of crappy low-res... Some images: You can find more images in my blog post: http://racingbrick.com/2017/12/lego-technic-42078-mack-anthem/
  5. And it's got a lot of plastic bags inside...:)
  6. I already managed to buy it in Hungary, I know ppl who bought it in the US as well. I think you'll be able to buy from Lego directly online from the 1st of January.
  7. Well I couldn't make it fly in a video which is about the building and the features... that will come later ;)
  8. @Aleh I think a typical user on YT is not like us who wants to know what new pieces are available in which color :)
  9. I listed the parts in new color a couple of replies earlier
  10. Working on it but that'll take a little more time :)
  11. @efferman - I didn't find any brand new pieces, I found the following ones in new colors: black Technic, Liftarm 5 x 7 Open Center Frame Thick dark azure Technic, Panel Fairing # 4 Small Smooth Long Technic, Panel Fairing # 3 Small Smooth Long Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with 2 Pin Holes Technic, Panel Curved 7 x 3 with 2 Pin Holes through Panel Surface Technic, Panel Curved 11 x 3 with 2 Pin Holes through Panel Surface Technic, Panel Curved 3 x 13 Technic, Panel Car Mudguard Arched 15 x 2 x 5 @degenerate - yep, the other one is the Mack :) I think this set is not worse than any similar sized and priced Technic cars made by Lego, comparing e.g. to 8070 or 42077. No extra functions I agree but it's really nice as a play set, kids will dig it. About the proportions, imho it's still better then the Audi Quattro S1 :) I managed to find one weak point so far, the rear assembly with the curved DBG panel and the exhausts only connects to the body with two blue 3L pins, it gets detached easily - you can actually see it on my bottom view photo.
  12. I was really lucky to pick this set up early (and also another one ). This is not a detailed review or analysis of the set, I will leave that to the others with more routine. I wanted to quickly share the build process and the main features, and some (hopefully nice) photos. First of all the video: and some images: You can read more on my blog and see additional images: http://racingbrick.com/2017/12/lego-technic-42077-rally-car-speed-build-features Now I need to get a little more sleep :)
  13. It's probably personal preference, but I think this shade of blue works better with the red parts than medium blue if I compare with 42036 Street motorcycle (same blue & has red as well).
  14. About the color of 42077. It might be Dark Azure like 42070, but I don't have that set and cannot think of any piece that I might have in this color... this is what I could compare with, so it's definitely not Blue/Medium Blue/Medium Azure:
  15. Thank you! Not sure about Rey, I'll need to look for new sets that would match her outfit and can be used for another combined bike. To be honest I'm not a motorcycle guy at all, I just had this Darth's Angels concept that I wanted to make so I had to create the bikes for it :)
  16. Building instructions published for the 1st Stormtrooper bike as well: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-11483/racingbrick/moc-1st-stormtrooper-motorcycle-4203642039/#comments
  17. Thank you, I'll have a look at it soon!
  18. It's up to you, I'm fine with the base only
  19. No snow no fun... it'd be nice to have an LDD file, I'm interested to build it and compare with the 42065 :)
  20. Wow, IR control with an app! Very cool :) Fingers crossed for the BuWizz protocol release...
  21. That's a very promising video! :) What is the controller for the ones with the Lego logo? The BuWizz connection fails only in this test video or you did not manage to solve the connection yet? I would literally kill for an app which gives game controller ability to BuWizz...
  22. Edit: I realized that Sariel's calculator uses the loaded values not the unloaded ones, although his book says "no-load" speed for the same values.
  23. I'm not sure why did you add gearing to the M motor in this calculation. In 42065 the M motor drives directly the sprocket and with the same voltage it's actually a bit faster than the L motor (405 RPM vs 390 RPM @ 9V according to Philo's chart). The L motor has more torque at the same speed for sure.
  24. Lol, my bad thanks :) I was checking the images on my mobile and didn't see that one :)
  25. It's interesting, based on this video it seems to have a similar speed like the 42065 with the M motors. Can you post a pic about the gearing used?
