  1. Some really nice details on the exterior, but the airport truck as stairs is just genius!
  2. You've got some fantastic ideas and bits of detail in there, and it's HUGE! Looking forward to seeing more.
  3. This is seriously good! I like the tables and the SLOTS sign - very nice SNOT work. Can't wait to see more!
  4. Very nice idea - I do hope you can get it on film soon!
  5. Even as a WIP this is awesome! The level of detail on the main building is fantastic - can't wait to see the work you've got in mind for the platforms.
  6. Cool - it even has wheels that stick out slightly so they get caught on doors and furniture just like a real one
  7. With regards to motorizing them, it really depends on what you want out of your trains. I've got the Constitution on display and it's not motorised but something like the HE or EN is designed to move! Picking up what you need from BrickLink can be cheaper than S@H but shop around and watch out for shipping prices. And be warned - you will never ever have enough track
  8. Cracking review! As you said, this does seem an odd way to build a temple but it may make more sense once it's introduced in the cartoon series. My kids weren't too impressed at the temple but the sabertooth vehicle and especially the minifigures are very tempting.
  9. Amazing! The choice of colours for the frame and 1x1 round tiles works so well, and I can't believe you got it all to fit on one truck. Thank you so much for sharing the LDD file too!
  10. The canopy on the ice cream motorcycle is spot on!
  11. Very nice! I like the little touches like the plant growing up the wall. Looking forward to seeing more.
  12. That roof! You've got some fantastic designs in that building but the roof is definitely the best bit.
  13. Excellent truck, and all beautifully in scale too - unlike some recent official trucks.
  14. What an excellent use of the space, and it still allows you to display models as well as having a functioning layout. The bridge is a really nice touch!
  15. Very cool feature, and the tower looks really good as a normal building too. I might have to try this - maybe it will stop may daughter demolishing all the other buildings

Wow - so many details and the forced perspective with the trains and cable car work really well. Any chance of a shot of the back of it?
  17. Fantastic idea - the carpet rolls and rack are brilliant. There's a gorgeous old church near me that's been converted into a carpet shop. It must be all the space and high ceilings inside these old buildings that make them so suitable for carpets!
  18. @Jerac - This is stunning, simply stunning, and the bridge design and greebling are amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing it lit!
  19. I like how you've managed to fit so much in such a small space. The cafe in particular is fantastic. I think the "normal" front and open back style of build is much better to work with than the standard modular as you can see all the interior work without having to separate the floors out - definitely makes it easier for the kids to play with without trashing it! Keep up the good work.
  20. Brilliant review of a very cool set. I don't normally go for the bigger Technic sets but there are enough features on this to keep me (and the kids) happy for hours.
  21. I've never seen a sold white LEGO building look so good - brilliant design!. Keeping the tones inside the building simple works well & stops it looking too fussy.
  22. I don't think I've ever seriously though about it before but I'm a studs up fan. If there are a lot of flowers close together I'll put some studs down or leave the flower head off completely to vary the effect. I'm trying to remember how my two children do theirs now... This is a wonderful diversion from work on a Monday
  23. Really good of you to make the file available - cheers!
  24. Sorry - got to boast - this topic is #1 on the list if you Google "LEGO banister" (And it's still not fallen down!)
  25. Need more photos of the inside, especially of the stairs - they're amazing! Good tips on using Excel as well.
