  1. I afraid that splitting the forum to sub-forums will actually split the people too: I believe that "criticism not allowed" may just become a kind of museum, we you saw something and them moves along to the next one. Shh, keep silence and don't touch them! The "scale models" forum was split once and the activity is very low now... Instead, I would just add the same "criticism allowed" and "criticism not allowed" sentences to the individual posts, if the author accepts, refuse, or just doesn't care about the criticism. As the MOC and total activity, I would say that following to social networks, the global trend leads to system-like sets (Star Wars and other similar things), whereas the Technic ones are "complicate enough to be a restful toy in our complicated World". So, only "techno maniacs", a very limited group of people, shared this spirit of The Grey Gear and Axle.
  2. Just a grain of nerdy nagging: the navigation lights are should follow the rule: right=green left=red. Great model, besides that, reminds me very first stud-less Technic models. I would call it "bicycleplane"
  3. Additionally, if you want to make it more complex, it may add a lifetable tag axle (explicitly tag, not DAF's pusher axle). EU-North countries loves them they performs the best on icy and snowy roads.
  4. Hmm, reminds me Scandinavian sliver-careers. Nice and authentic use for Scania truck!
  5. Yeah, just the same wheel but with different center hub (2*2 studs instead of a center single one). I also wanted 4-stud one but will still wait and hope...
  6. One more modification is coming: A twin-steering truck which are highly popular in Canada and New Zealand (better weight distribution and handling on slippery roads). The main idea is to have a Mack-compatible chassis, for all other trucks and axles -wheels combination, but now its presented only for Anthem, as a variation of the "Euro Panthech" twin-steering Kenworth (Australia). https://40ton.net/245-metrowy-zestaw-z-pojedyncza-naczepa-eksperymentalny-sposob-na-niskie-spalanie/ I need to polish the linkages and then publish the filished model.
  7. I especially love the "REDNEFED" (ɹǝpuǝɟǝp) logo under the windshield and at the steering wheel Besides the jokes, the wheel arch use is pure genius! I recall the discussion of its possible use when the 42110 was revealed and now it looks like the total end of the discussion.
  8. Perfect! It was a surprise for me to see that it also an alternate build.
  9. Possibly, it reminds a bit Tesla's Cybertruck... Anyways, it also definitely had inspiration from Dodge M4S "The Wraith". Just my impression
  10. I wondered why they did such a strange assembly with a 3L axle with stud and a tile and now they just returned back to the old-good scheme. Did they just try something new and failed?
  11. I calculated the same: [2L fender] + [11L body] + [2L-fender]. The only moment is here, is how the axles are made - do the wheels aligned with the fenders or placed even wider?
  12. @anyUser, nice modification! Reminds me of Anthem's steering angles - it also has a narrower frame between front wheels, that doesn't limit the steering arms. Now the turning radius must be just amazing!
  13. I'm not sure about that... Visual appearance vs playability. They might be too rigid for these monster trucks. Previously released pull-acks with balloon tires were very "jumpy" ones because of the tires softness and size (quad just was a perfect thing for ramp jumps and other stunts), so these monster trucks just must so "jumpy" ones, like real ones Financial factor. It the pull-backs had these tires, they will be sold in a minute, while the Wrangler one will remain on the shelf. Whereas it definitely took more effort to be built and is more profitable.
  14. Do you mean the steering angle? You may take out the 2L liftarms, that limits the rack movement (TLG added them to align the racks during building steps) - it will help a bit.
  15. I'm not fully in the recent Ferrari models but this one looks very close to a "Stallone" concept.
  16. Agreed, looks the springs are dead and don't support the body anymore.
  17. That would be fantastic to have 3-steps pneumatic cylinders, that may work as the longest ones.
  18. Great model with fantastic attention to details! I also love the use of these tires - despite their pattern is not "road one" (RC4WD has tires with better pattern but not in 1" size unfortunately :( ) now the wheels are amazing for this 1:22 scale!
  19. While the chassis above was designed for relatively light trailers, here is one more comes, now hevay-duty one: Tridem or tandem carrier for trailers with following features: Pendular suspension of rigid axles (in gray at he picture) Rubber 2L "liftarms" are the sprung elements here, that limits the axles articulation (each incline is counter-pushed by the rubber piece) And my favorite thing: "lock the suspension", that replicates the real trucks feature when they need to avoid of unexpected tilt during a dump unloading, for instance. It works with 2L red liftarms that have two positions: Vertical (turned down) - they stays in parallel with rubber things and lock the "pendular" At the image above they are activated and the first axle now intersects with the limiter, whish will be impossible in "physical world" Horizontal (turded up at 90 degrees), so they hides in the frame and don't touch the axles. It is the carrier for the side-dump trailer I working on now. It will also have some interesting things, as just "roll to unload" is deadly boring and Anthem deserves once more side-loader White liftarms will be a part of complicated enough linkage system (not all parts are shown yet), so it will have the following working cycle performed by only the single HOG knob (the sequence of actions): open the side gate tilt the dump put down the dump close and lock the gate
  20. Fantastic! A pure genus idea to combine the input with custom-made adder and pair or levers.
  21. That sounds like an UCS truck... Possibly it may even fit not only working pistons in the engine but also valves and other things. Plus, pneumatic brakes, plus pneumatic high-low gears switch.
  22. Some "restyling" for F700 is in progress. Could you help me with some questions: which one is better? do the 1x1 headlights fit normally, or should be some bigger ones (like 2x2 dishes)?
  23. That would be great to see it, with all these ailerons, rudders, possible variable propeller pitch. Damn, it has a great potential for PF (sorry Control+), may be even better that that Osprey!
  24. Well, I still pointed to use 42099's color but will try to make it with 42108 parts. One more teaser of ongoing modification: a hybrid of A a and B original models. Mack MR or TerraPro truck (ignore the rear with 5th wheel please, it remained from the A model): (the proportions must be corrected for sure) 13-stud wide cabin with protruding wheel arches like on real-life truck inline 6 strokes engine, taken from Anthem with minor changes (TerraPro have the same MP8 and MP7 engines, so it must be the same, like was in B model) openable doors. I regret that B model of LR had no them... tiltable cabin. After F700, another cabover truck, where I managed to make a tiltable cabin with engine access a with working steering wheel, I going to try to make it again. Just can't say "it's impossible" unified chassis structure compatible with all previously presented (and further coming I hope) frames and wheel combinations. and, for sure, the wipes! Possible "end-up result" I imagine as a 6x4 normal truck chassis + "expanded version" with twin steering equipped with concrete pump (the most common TerraPro "body"): foldable "pipe", outriggers, concrete "inlet" to be used with Cement Mixer truck. For sure, the pipes will be fake ones...
