  1. Possibly, the 2xxx part number was a fake/wrong one, or just contained a something to tow (like to was discussed here) but later was cancelled.
  2. I mean something like that: Initially I planned to use it as a rear part for 42098-compatible car (with trans-red 1x1 cheese slope) but it may work here as well. I can not say that it looks better than yours but just one more option.
  3. Wow, that is a really 42108-6400 now! I only started reading the post but have a full understanding that it really is an another coming top-model for several months. There are a lof of cranes here already, by TLG and BY AFOLs, and some of them are true diamonds. But I haven't saw the diamonds in a such scale yet, and never supposed that there is a possibikity to fit all these things into so tiny chassis and boom.
  4. I would also try to close the front holes, between wheelarches and angled 3+7 liftarm. Perhaps, the 2*1 plate with a pin hole and some wedge plate or tile may close it. Will try to check it tomorrow.
  5. Alteranitelly, we still may have a single hub and only 1 additional) motor, if we get a more complicated gearbox: 1. High gear 2. Normal gear 3. Low gear 4. Low gear + diffs lock Or something like that...
  6. Soundl like a one more replacement for high-profile baloon tires, which really becomes a fine trend! I still believe that 81.6 is more relevant size, as TLG seems to replace the bigest type of baloon, but Claas/Unimog rims had only low-profile baloons, so the "replacement" came instead of a bigger tire, that was never made.
  7. Yeah, so all the fearures (tilt sensor, speed, achienents) will come from the application, like in other sets.
  8. Sounds like the modification idea #1: put the crane lower.
  9. Or, at least, the whole "front" opens, including the bumper (bumper+hood tils forward). It does not appear very authentic but TLG said it is not a copy model.
  10. Hmm, headlights at the grill - looks very Peterbilt-ish!
  11. Sorry for bumping the thread, but do we have some further milestone when some details may be revealed just a bit more? So far, the release date is announced as August 2021 but I curious if some earlier events may happen...
  12. Possibly, they supposed that it may not be so highly demanded. I recall the green tractor set (A is the tractor / B is a buggy), which was presented ay US market as the buggy as primary model. Anyways, I support this question. Agricultural area provides a lot of amazing solutions which just scream to be made in Technic sets.
  13. Amazing solution! I expected to see a similar thing but still wondered how it works for reverse too, as a single "cutch" works only is a single direction. So, your idea is quite smart and compact. All genius things are too simple to be easily-invented
  14. Exactly! Moreover, the front-rear steered machines have a different wheelbase calculation - it equals the biggest distance between steer and non-steer axles. So trucks and other construction or military machinery have exactly the same parameters as if they had no rear (steer) axle at all. So, the thumb rule is here: leave only the frontmost steer axle plus non-steer axles and you will clearly see how the vehicle turns. Additional steer axles only help with the weight distribution of off-road capabilities.
  15. The same happened to 3L friction pins (which are in Blue) - they also have no center slot again. The one, that was under the stop-ring. Possibly, it was a weak point...
  16. It looks nice but really crew cab is well wanted here, following the original photo. As for the model itself, I afraid it has too low ground clearance - these crew machines are usually used for some utility duties and will be damaged easily if has such low bottom edges. I would remove 1 liftarm from the bottom all around the truck. Plus, the working lamps (I suppose they are) look too big for a given scale.
  17. Great model but I still prefer Mustang to it... They both are the great step in Creator Expert models (versus older models) but I can't say the same comparing them individually. However I really like how the "modifications" feature is expanded.
  18. Nice creation, I was waiting for alternates for this set - it has quite limited parts amount, so it is a real challenge to build something else but the original model (with 1 or 2 motors ). The only thing that I don't like - the roof connectors weakens. The parts used on the rear side are quire fragile and they takes all the load while the front ones (the A-pillars) are flexible enough. So, they may crack easily when the model rolls over. However I still 100% OK with it, as the model is low-heavy enough and has no so big off-road capabilities, so the risk is mostly theoretical.
  19. Alternatively, you can just take a black 30.4 wheel and colored (yellow or LBG/DBG) pulley. The wheel color matches the tire (more or less), so you will get visually a smaller rim (the pulley, 3L diameter) and thicker tire. BTW, has anyone found any 1" tires that may fit the 30*14 wheels (London Bus/Corvette) but with outer diameter close to 49.5mm? I'm looking for them to make more realistic view of current 49.5mm-wheeled trucks with thinner wheels in front and doubles in rear, but still can't find something even similar...
  20. No, he fully fit into 100% of main parts with no one of spares used! I already have checked it and can confirm with Rebricable comparison page: Compare LEGO Sets/Lists - 42122-1 vs MOC-62805 | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO Update: damn! I didn't plan to have this set but now, seeing these amazing C-models...
  21. Sorry for raising a dead topic but I had the same problem (and even worse - necessity to import into Bricklink Studio a custom part, custom-made for LDD (Custom LDD bricks and fixes topic). And I succeeded after 2-3 hours of research! The steps below do not 100%-match this topic but some of them could be quite useful: I imported the custom-made parts into the LDD ( [KEY TOPIC] LDD New Parts topic, see the instruction). The bricks here are in the LDD but cannot be exported to anything but LDDs limited set of format. Moreover, even via the LDR format, the Studio refused to open it, due to a custom-made nature - the part just was released and never appear to any LDD-like software officially). The next step - I exported the part from LDD as LDR file. Then, I used the LeoCAD software and opened this file. Exported as "Wavefront" OBJ file with a 3d model (it was only the file that Studio correctly accepted, 3ds failed to help me). Then I imported the OBJ file to Bricklink Studio Part designer, added mount points and exported to Bricklink Studio itself. This step is optional, I just wanted to use the model as a part for my further MOCs. Hope that it will help you too!
  22. Anyway, it's a nice re-appearing of them. We had many of them in LBG last years but Lime ones do not appear so freqent.
  23. The 9th one, if I got the designers correctly.
  24. Great recolor! I thought that it was the same, just shaded due to bad light position but then also noticed that the "modification"-Targa has the metallic ones.
