  1. Hi everyone, I don't know much about photography, but I would like to know how to get a really white background, that blends in with webpages. I have seen it in most pictures, and it looks really nice, so I would like to try. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks.
  2. Not mine. I like it, for one reason because it is studless. It's really good, especially for a first MOC. We all start somewhere, so don't be worried if you don't create the greatest, most amazing creation ever on the first attempt. Anyway, I like what you did with the limited parts. I would add doors, but that's just my opinion. Good job!
  3. Off topic: So, some people are saying that the tribute combo model isn't enough to celebrate the 40 years of Technic. Well, I found something that celebrates it. 1977 posts in this topic. The same as the year Technic started! Sorry, but I had to share this. On topic: @nick97 Thanks for the new perspective on 42070.
  4. @BusterHaus Thanks! The MiniZip does come in handy very often. @2LegoOrNot2Lego... Thank you.
  5. +1 That sounds like it would be really cool. It would be nice to see many modern interpretations of classic and significant sets. Plus, it would be easy for the staff because @Jeroen Ottens laid out all the rules already.
  6. I do like them a lot. I have to agree that they aren't completely terrible. Plus, we don't even know all of the functionality. They could be advanced and we wouldn't even know it. So for now, I'm not jumping to full conclusions yet. (Even though IMO the 42069 is a bit ugly and doesn't need the Porsche fenders.)
  7. Yes, but I was talking about the tracked set. But the 42070 set and box are the same, as you said.
  8. That would explain all the yellow and black. Also, why is the 42069's box art completely different from the actual set? You would think Lego would at least update it for the toy fair.
  9. Is that a pneumatic pump I spy near the fender on the other side, or just some brick-built thing?
  10. There's still a remote for the truck, so something is RC.
  11. Hi everyone, I'm showing you this MOC now so it won't get immediately forgotten amid the Nuremberg Toy Fair and the new sets. So it's something I call it the Personal Armored Tank, because It has a seat for one person, a canon, tracks, and "armor" panels. It uses 2 L-Motors for driving, 1 M-Motor for tuning the canon, a 9V battery and MiniZip cable for power, and an Sbrick. Here are some photos: The connectors on the back are little "guns". ^ Bottom view. ^ Here is how the canon turns. ^ Please tell me what you think and have a great day!
  12. Two weeks later... I redesigned the front axle and front of the body. I'll be making an LDD file soon. Bonus picture.
  13. Thanks everyone for your opinion. I have decided that I'll go for it, but only after checking the condition.
  14. If it is RC, judging by the picture it seems to be a 9398 with an extra axle.
  15. That will be nice, not waiting a year for a new one.
  16. What I'm looking forward to (apart from all the pictures) is the 42070 demonstration video, to see what it actually does.
  17. Thanks everyone! No, and I tried taking the wheels off, but whey didn't touch the ground because of the motor. Sorry, but I'm not planning on it. I will Rebrickable it, though. So, I secured the body more, and it works much better. The motor is in another MOC that I'll post soon.
  18. Thanks for your opinion. Here is the topic where I read about broken pieces: (And I've experienced them in the 42000.)
  19. Hi everyone, I recently found a used 8461 Williams F1 Team Racer for $200. I was wondering the community's opinion on whether I should get it or not. I have read that it is a great set, but there are a lot of cons: The suspension components are known to break in F1 cars like this It is non-refundable, so If I don't like it, that's a waste of $200, which could've been spent on a better set. The stickers on this set are often damaged. I don't know if 100% of the pieces are there. However, I will have the chance to inspect it to look for any of these problems, but they might not be found until after the purchase. So what do you think, should I skip a great bargain and miss a possible problem-free set, or get it and risk wasting money? Thanks very much in advance.
  20. +1 I like it a lot, but it will take a little getting used to.
  21. That interior looks really nice, are you doing seats? Also, the back reminds me of a Volkswagen beach buggy, but without the engine. It all looks good so far!
  22. I agree that more pictures would be nice, but so far It looks good. I like the use of panels and the bit of orange at the back.
  23. Very nice, I love the lime. What is that skull piece near the engine?
  24. Your profile is private, so we can't see what you have. Go to your profile, click "edit your profile" and change the privacy to "public". IMO you should get the Claas. If you already have Power Functions, this one can provide a lot of other parts. You can learn a lot from building this set because of it's complex functions. It also can provide more building time than the Arctic Truck, and is cheaper than the Volvo. I personally think it's one of the best Technic sets there is.
