  1. I love the bike shop, too. My only comment is that I find it odd that the merchandise gets heavier and bulkier as you ascend the building.
  2. Category A: #1 #9 #10 Category B: #2 #3 #6
  3. Brickcitydepot has their Chili's Restaurant, too.
  4. I used to start my lego cities out with a bunch of homeless guys who just happened to have a large inventory of parts for sale. There'd be a window guy, a door guy, a fence guy, a tire guy, etc. Then, they'd sell or trade with each other and the most successful ones would end up being able to build small houses or a car and so my city would grow. This reminded me of of that in a 30 years down the line sort of way.
  5. It seems to me that Creator is where we're getting the Town buildings we keep asking for. Branding them as Town may force TLG to set them afire and add yet another Fire ATV, but branding them as Creator just lets them stand as is.
  6. Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew!
  7. I have just 2, as I am but a pauper compared to many of you.
  8. I agree. Tinker Bell and the other Disney fairies are pretty good inspiration. Yes, they're mostly girls, but it's not a "girly" world they live in.
  9. If this is actually a Fairies theme, my daughter is going to go crazy for it.
  10. Oooh, I'm going to steal some ideas from this one.
  11. Interesting prices. $60 for a bulldozer must mean it can knock down a city block in 2 seconds or there's a lot more to it. The $100 crooks hideout better be pretty impressive, too, and I hope it'll fill a decent role as a residential/commercial building of some sort.
  12. There are plenty of MOCs with fleshie castles in them. It's not hard to imagine what it would look like. I'm not a big fan of fleshie's simply for the compatibility reasons. If we'd always had fleshies, I think the idea of yellow would be more abhorrent than the idea of switching from yellow to fleshie. That said, because I have a long history, I prefer the continuity of yellow. As for what's in store for Castle, I think the real issue with the current Castle line, beyond heraldry, is the lack of interesting sets. The dragon one is the only one I see as being a creative playset. The rest are rehashes of past things that are relatively static. I think TLG missed an opportunity when they put minifigs from both factions in the big castle set. Yes, kids then get the chance to have both sides for $100 so they can stage battles, but neither side is properly represented and it creates a disincentive to buy the castle plus an opposing faction's set. The siege weapon should have been it's own set with more defenders replacing it in the castle. Lego really ought to commit to castle the way it has to Ninjago and Chima. Create some factions that are actually interesting, then add factions over time such that they're creating a cohesive world in which kids can play. Beyond all other things, that's what made the mid-late 80's so great.
  13. Is that a gumball machine in there?
  14. I would love for the tow truck to have somewhere to tow the vehicle to. It could be a junkyard or a garage, I don't care, just some cohesion between the sets. A gas station would be lovely in that regard, and I think they generally do pretty well from a kid standpoint.
  15. Sorry I can't join in this time. Too much travelling over the summer for me. I'll put in my vote for Das Boot because my wife is still bitter about it.
  16. Which means you'll be scum.
  17. With Bob, I think it hurt him that he kept changing his approach. Townies don't lie about things in their defenses, so there's rarely a need to change the story. The truth will come out and, particularly early on, the numbers are still on their side. With Dave, the problem was that he gave up on his defense and then came up with one. I did that in Yakuza when I was found out. You have to be ready with your defense initially. Remember that people like Def are lying scumbags when playing town. If an investigation result fingers you when you're really a townie, you know something got messed up. Take the same approach when playing as scum and you might find out that the result didn't really get you. At the very least, in majority voting, you might be able to avoid a lynch for a day.
  18. Why was I killed? Boo hoo! Nice work to Def and the town core on making quick work of the Feds. Bob... I loved your extended monologue. That was a thing of beauty even if I only read half of it. I was ready to go hard after Adam in the next day's vote over Peanuts because of the role cop thing. Peanuts' vote switching claim was the type of counter to Def's vote revealing action that I would've expected from you, Tammo.
  19. Primarily because it seems like you're not paying attention and, in the process, distracting us from what the focus of today is. I did read all those comments. How would you know if I've taken action or not?
  20. This seems rather ridiculous to me. You're basically saying you'd rather take a chance on lynching a Malone than lynch a guy you are confident is an FBI agent. If we believe Benito is scum then we absolutely should lynch him over anyone we're less certain of. If you believe that he is the killer, then you have to believe that it's possible he already passed his kill on from last night. There is no guarantee of a 3rd party, but the kill last night was either a 3rd party or a passed on scum kill. I'm assuming Benito was blocked both nights. It's also worth pointing out that EVERYONE knew that Benito was most likely going to be targeted by the town blocker, so the FBI agents could plan their strategy accordingly. I agree that Abbott and Katalina should be high on our list of suspects, but I don't think the cases against either of them is as sound as the case against Benito.
  21. I'm not surprised that Paco was an FBI Agent rather than a third party. He came with that claim far too late in the day. Benito, care to continue to explain how Da Shen and Paco are teammates as you said yesterday?
  22. Please, folks, get your votes in. You need to weigh in on whether or not you think what Da Shen has presented is reasonable or not, and how best to test that conclusion. At the core of it, is a claimed investigator claim that Paco is not Malone. At the very least, your vote needs to reflect whether or not you believe that investigation result really exists. Ultimately, what Da Shen has asked us to validate is that.
  23. If anything, this convinced me that Da Shen is most likely a Malone. Think about it... there are only a small number of us and the key mechanic here is that the votes are private. To reveal the votes is a pretty pro town thing to do and is a counter for a powerful scum advantage. The judge aspect, I'll admit can go to either side, but to give both of those roles to a single scum player seems overpowered. Unless we have some really powerful counters to it. It's not surprising to me that there was a role that could manipulate the visibility of the vote. At this point, Paco... it seems pretty obvious that the proper way to validate Da Shen is to test his claims. What do you propose in light of what he's revealed for a plan of action to test the various claims that are now public. Benito... how is an investigation claim of not-Mallone against you "ludicrous"?
  24. If we don't yet know anything about it, how can we know the purpose? If it's a 3rd party that can't kill, then it would strike me that they're there to mess with us in some other way. Neither option sounds good to me. As for the lack of kill... I think it's unlikely the Feds can recruit or that they chose not to use their kill. My money's on a block or protection. That said, we absolutely lynch anyone who came up as not Malone. It seems pointless to do anything else. Also, I noticed that the rules continue to state that vote tallies will not be announced publicly. I take this to mean that Da Shan's action from yesterday does not carry forward. Honestly, I was a bit surprised it carried through the rest of yesterday.
  25. Cool... basically everyone who has been the most vocal except Tiffany. Why leave her out? For what it's worth, I'll bet every one of us would say the same thing.
