  1. Me, too. I have just the two that came with MMV.
  2. This always entertains me. I mean really, which person is gonna check his rearview mirror when a large white, lights-flashing, siren blaring truck comes roaring up behind them and think, "You know what, it doesn't say ambulance so he's just gonna have to wait while I mosey on through this intersection." Also, why don't the fire department and police force do this, too?
  3. I've been poking around these forums for a while, so I figured I'd say hello. I'm Dutch but have lived most of my life in the US. The new Kingdoms line with the Lion Knights and Green Dragons have convinced me to stop supressing my Lego love, ending a nearly 20-year dark age for me. In terms of themes, I'm primarily a castle/town guy, but liked a lot of the older space sets as well as the first pirates wave. I haven't been too keen on space since, and am trying to stick to castle/town now, but trains has me intrigued, too. My older brother and I put together a pretty large collection of legos from the late-70's through early 90's, which my dad is finally ready to hand down to us know that we have our own kids. Sorting through it all will be an adventure, and I haven't seen one piece of it in 15 years. For now, I've just got the handful of newer sets I've purchased. I'm most looking forward to finding the old castle stuff again. I may join in on a Mafia game or two. I followed Cirque du Freak fairly closely, and have played Mafia in person a number of times, but never via an online forum. I'm a huge baseball fan, so the baseball guy CMF was pretty fun for me.
  4. Black Monarch's castle was my absolute favorite lego set ever for a very long time. There was something so unique about the inverse of black walls with gray stone rather than grey wall with darker gray stones of the Crusaders and Falcons. That said, it was the only set in the line I really liked. My dark age began around 1992/93 with the advent of the raised/molded baseplates that ruined castles (and a whole host of other "bricks" that replaced brick built structures).
  5. The new, darker one looks a lot more like the originals, IMO. At least from the photos. I'm a bit sad I hadn't seen this thread before you went to all the work to design the shields yourself, as I had previously found fairly high resolution mockups of these online through Google a few months ago (for an entirely different type of project). The shapes were consistent and all I really needed to do was update colors a little. The biggest problem with color is that it varies with paper and the printer you have. So you often have to print a sample and then adjust the color on screen and reprint. The vests look MUCH better now, too. Nice work.
  6. I'm relatively new around here, and haven't read all of the pages of this thread. I also wasn't interested for some of the older series, so hopefully I won't repeat something that's already been done, but here are some of the figs I would like to have. 1. US Civil War soldier 2. Hobo (with satchel attached to a stick) 3. Chicken man costume (like the gorilla suit/lizard man suit) 4. Ballerina 5. Mechanic 6. 50's Greaser 7. Coal Miner (with lamp on helmet) 8. Medieval page (with a scroll) 9. Tourist (with camera and bag/map) 10. Plumber I'd also be all for sports figures from sports already done (baseball, football, hockey, futbal), but with a different uniform on so you can stage games between teams.
  7. I don't disagree entirely, but the fact that there's two EMT's with only room for one of them doesn't bother you? I suppose the second one can ride the injured minifig's bike back to the ER. These bricks would make some neat cobblestone.
