  1. Clawra Megablocks! If you squint real weird, man, Claw and Laura combine into a hazy green monster. I can get behind a lynch of either. Unvote: 4 of 2 (mostlytechnic) Vote: Claw (LazyChicken) Harriet, is there something more behind your suspicions of me other than a relative lack of posts to this point? Me and myself thought it was interesting that Clark was killed after being the first vote on Tangerine yesterday. There were 6 votes for that crazed one, and Clark and Wen were two of them. The other four were Zipzop, Claw, Vasquez, and Minga. Zipzop has the odd PM claim he wants us to know about. Minga has, so far at least, not given me reason to suspect her over the others. Vasquez is middle ground, and Claw is on the chopping block for reasons stated. I think that of those 4, there are at most 2 Blacktron. Claw and Vasquez are the most likely of them, and in that order. As for Laura, she was the 3rd vote yesterday for Wen, and the 4th for Claw today. The vote today came right after Seamus nudged us all into action on Claw. Yesterday's vote was also right after Seamus, although that was right when the voting opened. In both cases, Laura seems to be coming up with her vote based on other's opinions.
  2. I guess it just doesn't seem genuine to me given the way you continued to beat the horse of whether or not it's a good idea to claim to her and how to go about doing it, and hey, she could still be scum. To what purpose has all the time and effort you've put into Tangerine's claim gotten you? It has gotten you nothing other than to basically say what everyone else has said about it in about 1/10th the number of words. That's what makes me feel like you're really walking the line and trying to appear helpful without actually being helpful. Your proposals were poorly thought out and at the end you decided we shouldn't do it anyway (although not for the reasons that they wouldn't work as described so much as you didn't yet trust her). So what was the point of letting us all know about them other than to just look helpful?
  3. I'm going to go ahead and Vote: 4 of 2 (mostlytechnic) Why? It's in the math, man! Check out this bender: What's the point of running the numbers here? No one ever suggested Tangerine was acting logically in the suspicion of Seamus as godfather. Heck, she started the day off by reacting to his jokes as if she never had her sarcasm detector implanted. The numbers here are just a way of looking helpful but they're meaningless. 4 of 2 even acknowledge that she doesn't try to pass if off as a logical concern. There's a lot of commentary but no conclusions other than don't claim until you truse someone. No comment on how Tangerine's actions affect his leaning on Tangerine. Again, lots of supposedly helpful commentary which really isn't. Coupled with no suggestion of how he really feels about Tangerine. For reference, this was 4 of 2's first reaction to the claim early in the day: There's an element of fishing here and an element of nonchalance about it. The primary reaction of most was incredulity at the claim coming out with no real impetus for it, but 4 of 2's reaction is that it's helpful without questioning. Only later, after the other reactions come out, does he look at it in detail. Also, from yesterday: "This" is in reference to Tangerine not voting for Dr. Wen. 4 of 2 didn't really think Tangerine was scum yesterday, enough to vote for Hannah Ford instead. That vote was essentially for not contributing much and not following through. An easy Day 1 vote. There was no followup on it today, though. Then came this: This ping wasn't apparently enough to switch his vote from one that was admittedly weak. Yet he keeps harping on about Tangerine today. The odd thing about today's harping, though, is that he still isn't coming to any conclusions. He still hasn't come out and really told us if he thinks Tangerine is scum or not. It's like he's waiting for someone else to take the lead on a suspicion so he can latch on to it or zig the other way and vote for someone off the radar. At this point, it seems like 4 of 2 should have had enough time to form an opinion on Tangerine. Either he thinks she's scum and should vote accordingly, or he should be trying to find someone else to vote for. He hasn't said one thing to follow up on his suspicions of Hannah from yesterday, and what he has said hasn't really helped us move forward. It's not like Hannah has been super quiet. She even had that odd interchange with Laura. Hey, sweet man, someone like's me. Elect Major Dave! Tycho Powder for everyone! Taste the rainbow! For the record, I had some issues communicating with ground control over the period labor inactivity, although I won't disagree with Seamus.
  4. Hey, now Mr. Right-side-uppity, this is freakin' OUTER SPACE! There's no up or down here, only different latitudes to bend your mind to. Perspectives you can't get with higher G's. If you look closely you'll see that I was all over the place just gettin' the feel for this jib, following the rainbows, and parading with the marmots. Sometimes they go up, sometimes down, but I'm wizard if I can tell which is when. As for Tangerine and Dr. Wen, Tangerine has persisted in an effort to steer the conversation and come up with some very specific accusations that are based on fear more than any sort of logic. She's also had the odd issue with being able to count to 10. Personally, I think that indicates she is less likely to be working with others than to indicate that she's part of an evil syndicate. As for Dr. Wen, I think the strongest case against him came from Nathan. Everyone else has focused just on the potential distraction that he might be, but Nathan actually reviewed his accusations. I think those observations take what would otherwise be, IMO, a lynch to get rid of an unhelpful space cadet to a case that has a little bit of merit behind it. Vote: Doctor Wen (Xenophobic Monoxide)
  5. Holy megablocks, there's scum everywhere. And they're dancing! I loooooove dancing scum. Why are they wearing polka dotted tutu's and riding space dragons? I totally want one, too! Hey... there's no rush. Let's all slow down a bit. I gotta believe the scum are just laughing at us right now. I'm thinking Clementine's paranoid, but that don't mean they ain't out to get her. Him? It? Isn't Clementine a tiny little citrus fruit? Oooh... can I call you tangerine instead? It's also interesting how Minga's responded in all of this. She (he? ... it?) concluded that Tangerine is either scum or town reading too much into a comment. Oh, but she wanted to edit the scum part out and conclude that Tangerine is just town. Am I reading that right? Why would she want to remove the scum possibility? In case it wasn't clear about the edit comment, here's the relevant quotes:
  6. I think that's you on the far left in the photoshop fog of the last picture. There's some pink over there. Shoot, we need more pink in space. I loose photoshop fog, man. It's way cool. Also digging' the classic space noggin' protectors. No cracks! Trippy! Loooose, loooove, it's all good. Autocorrect is trippy, too.
  7. Wheee hoooo! I'm here, man. Settle down now or I'll have to eat all your cookies.
  8. Personally, if my kid wants a set I dislike over a set I do like, it seems a bit silly to impose my opinion on them. Heck, I told my daughter she could have any set in the store on our visit to Legoland and she choose a stuffed kitty. I'm not a big fan of the concept of this line, but I suspect that it will either be a complete flop or as successful as Ninjago. What I hope is that the parts and weaponry are suitable for more historically accurate mocs so that we don't lose out on innovation in that way. It's clear that Lego is trying new ways of bringing the same sets (see Forest Police/Swamp Police) throughout their line, and I don't have a problem with that.
  9. This is one of my favorite builds I've seen on Eurobricks. Please post this on Lego IDEAS. You'd think the swamp police line could use some establishments for the crooks to rob!
  10. 1) Tell me a brief summary of your Mafia experience, in poem form. I played 2) Will you be free to actively participate from now until whenever the heck this ends? I will participate, but participation comes at a cost, so no. 3) What is your favorite Sci-Fi work? Anne of Green Gables. Additionally, what is your favorite sci-fi character? Bert from Mary Poppins 4) "Solve the function: for N=4, with r being the third root of i"? ~JJP Done! 5) Watch this brief .Ah, I see! You said there were no clues in the pictures but you mentioned nothing about videos. I will be watching this 24x7 until the game ends!
  11. Personally, I think this is against the spirit of the rules. Also, I don't entirely believe that second sentence. Really tremendous hosting job by TPRU. Games like this with a cohesive story behind them that progresses through the game are simply amazing. Photography was, as always from TPRU, superb. I didn't follow the early days all that closely except to see the lynces/results, but did read the last few days in detail. Props to the players for making it an enjoyable and fun read to keep following.
  12. Clearly the rats had been entertaining themselves. I was decaptitated Day 5 of Ragnarok Redux, and by Day 6 it was gone. However, it did appear again when Loki brought doom and destruction upon us all. Strange things, I say!
  13. I have never been able to finger an SK. There's just so little to go off of since they are just as blind to the scum as town is. Overall, despite some of the flaws in logic that resulted in poor play, this game was really fun. The conversation died out a bit too much on latter days. I was really unhappy with the bible curse after having played Harriet Slutter that way. I said when I signed up that I didn't really have the time for this game, and squeezing it in was not easy but I'm glad I did it. Def, thanks for putting together an interesting game. Even though the pictures weren't elaborate, keeping the games running regularly is an important part of maintaining enthusiasm and getting new players to join. Much appreciated.
  14. Bah humbug. Thanks for having me!
  15. Ok, here's a review of jluck's contributions. jluck, THIS is your life! (Surrounded by spoiler tags with summary at the end. Apologies for any mistakes as I did edit this in a text editor so as to avoid losing work) In summary: 1. He's been very non-committal at times 2. He's taken a dangerous defensive item (the bomb), with an overeager grab. This implies he knew what it was and the only one who could've told him, would be Tammo. I also find it notable that he didn't seem to have any interest in seeing if people trusted him enough to grab the vig. Any townie should want to be considered for the vig in order to keep it out of scum hands. 3. He avoided the Tammo bandwagon and actively tried to steer the conversation in different directions. When he "ran some numbers" to determine Tammo was worth lynching, he never acted on it, instead following Tammo's advice for an alternate candidate. He also actively latched on to the Bus Driver notion without questioning it. I also wanted to comment on this: You implied that Brick, Tammo, and I were part of the same scum team with this statement: You said that the theif paired with the vig is a powerful scum tool and that was what "they hast done", implying Brick and me. Also... you're doing great with the accent! My sympathies as I know the joys of that curse well.
  16. So... while I'm working on the jluck case... Mencot told Tammo about the bomb on day 1. Mostly, who did you tell about the bomb?
  17. I didn't vote for myself! I think Walter is actually a reasonable choice. I am going to go back to what I commented on earlier and Vote: Indy Jones (jluck). I will try to quickly put together a more detailed case against him, but the short version is that he's been extremely non committal in a lot of his comments and has spent more time talking about mechanics and such than looking at people's behavior. Today we find he has taken the bomb with the second item selected and we know that the scum team knew about the item's abilities. I don't have a strong opinion on Walter at this point and wouldn't be surprised one way or the other.
  18. I'm not scum. The only thing people really have on me is the vig selection on Day 2 and that is perfectly defensible from a townie standpoint given the state of the item claiming at that point. To reiterate, there were 3 items remaining. One of which I could not take. I had no reason to trust Dragonfire or Dark Dragon at that point. To Zepher's point about me not coordinating on the vig target. That's a misdirected argument. I never said I would not work with people. I said I wanted to finalize with someone in private so that scum wouldn't know who the target was but I was happy to work with whoever people nominated. How many people were nominated? Zero. Post 194: Here I say that I will coordinate with whomever was agreed to. A few posts later you complained that I wasn't willing to coordinate, which is entirely untrue. Did you bother to propose anyone for me to work with? No. Did anyone else? Post 206: Here I clarify in response to your complaint and say that I'll work with whoever people nominate, but maintained that I didn't want the scum team knowing of the target publicly. Tammo posted regularly throughout yesterday that he wanted me to be the lynch target. Posts 132, 161, 170, 176, 180, 209, and 242/244. That's 7 times he tried to convince people I was scum and/or to have the vig action taken from me. If I were scum, it wouldn't make sense for him to want to discredit me to the point that I would not be able to use the vig action and give an extra kill to the scum team. I realize there's plenty of WIFOM you can take out of that, but it's a lot of effort that could've better been spent elsewhere. As for me, I was one of the people most against the bus driver idea when that was thrown into the mix to discredit the scum result on Tammo. Who did the town command me to discuss with? You're just making things up now... where did I say I knew anyone was town or not? Are you saying you also think that Tammo, Brick, and I are all part of the same scum team? That's seriously got to be one of the absolute worst theories I've ever seen people throw out in one of these things. You must think we're all idiots or trying to make the game as hard as possible for ourselves.
  19. 1. Flash's Lightning Cowl 2. Starlord's Mask 3. Mary Jane's Locks 4. Mr. Freeze's Coolant 5. Magneto's Super Awesome Helmet fhomess 6. Gandolf's Pointy Cap Bob 7. Captain Jack's Crow 8. Storm's Lightning Mencot I will not be back on before the deadline. Lego Spy should have the thief.
  20. I did not submit a target last night. I was leaning towards Shadows, but Brick PM'd me about targeting him shortly after the day ended, which made me reconsider. Mostly followed you on consecutive days. Dragonfire followed Bob on consecutive days. Dave and Walter are not both scum. One or the other at most. If I think a scum has an item, it's better to lynch him and lose the item than to let him live. Under what pretenses do you think that Tammo and Brick are both scum? Please explain their actions of the first two days in light of them being teammates. Actually, I can see how the first PM would lead someone to think you're suggesting they take the item. I'll say this, I don't think there's anything that Dave has done to suggest he's town yet, but in light of this new revelation, I'd say the case against him isn't quite as strong. Dave, why did you choose to investigate Lego Spy?
  21. Anyone calling out Brickelodeon at this point is not helping town. Yes, he could be scum, but he delivered Tammo to us 1st thing on Day 2 after Tammo was set up on Day 1 as someone we all thought was very townie for revealing the vig. Those two plays together would be directly contradictory for a scum team with any sense of a plan. No one else here has done anything that warrants the trust that Brick does. As for Dave, I think there's a good chance he's scum, too. Zepher, you're doing the same things that Tammo was doing. Only picking out the pieces of arguments that you actually care to pay attention to and ignoring the statements that contradict with your theories. It's not becoming.
  22. Great... so now we have to make sure a townie grabs the bomb. Can I vote jluck now, please or do I have to wait? I've been calling him out since day 1.
  23. I seriously doubteth that there is a bus driver and a redirector. Thou hath latched on to every possible notion that may clear thyself without really trying to determine if any of them meet the demands of scrutiny. Thou hath done the same with thy accusations. Thou didst throw names around in hopes that others would agree. Thou hath responded solely to those accusations against thee which are easiest to rebut with half-truths. Vote: Joker (Tamamono)
  24. Bloodbrick 2 didst have a Bus Driver but no other redirection role. I believeth not that there are two such elements of misdirection among our number. We haveth but limited ability to select our roles and haveth yet to determine if there even is a blocking role. Shouldst I have let Darkdragon or Dragonfire have it, knowing nothing of their affiliation and knowing mine? Do tell what thou wouldst have done differently at that point. Thou doth seem intent on ignoring the context, and I have yet to see anyone suggest a player they do trust. As such, I shall suggest Mostlytechnic as my strongest town read due to his item claiming. Thou hath been divined to be scum by the brickish inquisition. Thou didst claim to target Zepher. Such action of ignoble intent is in arrears with thy previously professed townread of Zepher and thy vote of Jackjonespaw. Thou didst select the redirective action with they claim early upon the day. I do believe thou didst know if its powers. In thy defense, the vig reveal yesterday was townie, but what else have thee done to warrant trust? The case against Lind Whisperer seems like the shadow of the wind, blowing in the minds of his accusers with little substance. All the voters didst suggest scummish behavior, yet none made concrete accusation. Wouldst someone summarize his misdeeds to warrant such bandwaggoning? Perhaps ye all see what I perceive in jluck's sheepish following. Autocorrect preferreth they to thy...
