Fantastic build! I like your design a lot more than the official Fairground Mixer. I would like to have one, but I don't think I could reverse engineer it. I love the cute and colorful spaceships!

[MOC] - The Spaceship - 175000 part shopping mall (LDraw)
Wesley D replied to DigitalDreams's topic in LEGO Town
Great mall! You must have put a lot of work into it. I'm impressed by the video! I love the aliens on the side! I hope you get another PC soon so you continue your hobby!- 3 replies

Fantastic park! I really like how modular it is! The fencing is great too! Are the corner modules build on 48x48 baseplates? It must be fun to fill the park with minifigures! It's also a great picture with the row of houses next to the park. What a city! I would like to make myself one too, if I only had the place for it!

Fantastic level of detail, the color scheme is great and there is so much variation in depth. I cannot imagine Lego creates a better one. This is the best Police Headquarters I've ever seen!

If you send me a PM with your email address, I'll mail you the file. I can't figure out how to add the file here, it seems only images are allowed. I have to say there are some modifications in my Cafe Corner: - most importantly, there was some modification done in the structure around the doors to use modern Lego 4*6 doors. - I replaced the dark blue bricks by dark stone grey bricks, because it was too hard to find the dark blue arch. - modern Lego windows replace the older original parts. - I replaced some turntables by 2x2 tiles with one stud on top, because you can't find the turntables in the correct color. - Because of my personal taste, I changed the CAFE sign on the sidewalk with dark stone grey tiles and changed the furniture on it. On that side I also modded the wall so the middle window isn't a door anymore. If you want I can add the original bricks for that wall to the LDD-file.

Do you already have a horizon express? A second one would make a great complete train!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Wesley D replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If they make it so hard to collect them all, why should we even bother? I only buy second hand opened bags anymore, and even then only minifigures I really want AND will use for display. I miss the excitement of opening the bags, but I hate buying a pig in a poke (which results in having too much minifigures except for the ones I want) or the feeling being watched standing in the toy store examinating all those blind bags. I'm not sure if I'll buy one of this series, but I'm fond of the bulldog! I hope he'll be once in a regular set (like the chihuahua now has been), but I won't set my hopes too high, as for example the seagull isn't released anymore, even not in the upcomming Old Fishing Store.- 1,421 replies

When could we expect an official anouncement for the Old Fishing Store? Its release is expected in the fall. Is that around September?

Your cathedral is a piece of Lego art! I like how you achieved to give a grey building so much detail. The stained glass windows brighten the construction. Is it possible to remove the roof to see the interior?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Wesley D replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If they won't sell them in the Netherlands and Belgium, I'm done with the CMF's. The price increase alone was already bothering me. €3,99 for blind bags- 1,421 replies

Very nice build! The futuristic look, the curves and the colors, it's perfect!

I'm not sure if it belongs here, but: When I went to the LEGO Shop page, the collectable fisherman was fishing for LEGO boxes. Together with the printed tiles depicting City sets, there were tiles printed with Friends and Classic sets. The City set tiles are included in City Square, but is there a chance the other tiles allready exist or will be released? Thank you very much!

Just go for it! It would be a pity not to buy a modular because you missed the first ones. You might regret it! You don't need the first ones (that are partly recycled into Assembly Square by the way) to appreciate your collection, that you even can supplement with your own MOCs if it interests you!
-
I must warn you: collecting modulars is indeed addictive! I simply could not resist completing the whole series, although I don't own the original CC, MS and GG. You can save money by making some modifications and substitutions, so you don't have to pay those crazy prices. Making my version of the Town Hall wasn't easy and I ended up buying an original one.

Impressive reconstruction! Well done! Are there interiors too?

Fantastic build! Very nice how you depicted the struggle of nature versus architecture. Nice how you populated the diorama with little animals and Islanders. Could this be the place the upcoming Jungle Explorers are heading to? Won't you publish it on Lego Ideas? I'd buy one for sure!

As much as I love new specific moulded animals, I feel nostalgic about the original bird mould that took just another print or color for different species. I hope for another bird mould. Again one not too specific, that can be used and printed for different small birds. In Lego City Undercover there were Lego pigeons, but I guess that mould is never made. A shame, as they would fit perfectly on Assembly Square!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Wesley D replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Glad you like your Palace Cinema too! On to your next modular? Mind you, it's addictive! I wasn't sure to buy the Palace Cinema, but I was impressed when I had build mine. I'm thinking about making an interior for the modular. -
Wonderful station! It looks so realistic! It requires no imagination seeing the 10194 Emerald Night train waiting for departure in you station! Do you plan to build it in real bricks? It would be nice to see it populated with minifigures.
-
Very beautiful modification! The interior is very nice too, there is a lot of space in the mall. I really like the light colors you have used, but I have to say because of those colors it doesn't remind me of books. Nevertheless it looks very good and modern!

Wow, after seeing the first photo I thought you had a big town, but when I saw the second my jaw dropped! It must feel like heave to have such a place to display your LEGO town!

Great review and so much pictures you show! It's a great and detailled set, I believe it must be fantastic to see the depth made by the square. Just one thing that keeps bothering me is that the minifigures must pass by the bakery and the dentist to get to the higher floors. It's a pitty the parrot is asymmetrically colored, unlike on the first official published images. I agree the play features are completely unnecessary in the modular line. The modulars alone offer more than enough scenery for stories, if you only let your fantasy work. For me the modulars don't even have to have interiors, especially not on the higher floors. I had so much fun completing the interior of my empty modified Cafe Corner.

Impressive cathedral! So large and so much detail. You must have put a lot of work in it! Completing the cathedral would require an incredible amount of bricks, I guess! How many of them have you used until now?
-
I'm very glad to have seen your build! Impressive and great diorama! Great atmosphere! You have put the right amount of detail in it! Do you plan to build it in real bricks? I just don't hope this will be Lego city's future! Let this be a warning for the minifigs to work on a warm and bright community! I like how you used of the dices!
