2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
GeoBrick replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Preorder for the Wolfpack Tower (if it doesn't change) starts October 6, and will supposedly run for about 2 weeks to roughly the last week of October. I'd say 9-10 weeks until the end of 2025 is plenty of time to produce&print huge amounts of minifig torso's. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

Why wouldn't they? It would be for a large amount of pre-ordered sets. In any case, we'll be sure once info on the finished set is made public by late September/early October, and the updated pictures show the minifigs in the set. -
Wow, that's beautiful photography!

Good job on depicting the crowdiness aboard the typical sailing warship, though the infirmary might be a bit full for a vessel not in action? The separation between 'officer country' & soldiers vs the sailors is nicely done. At first glance I can't figure out how you fix the sailor's tables on top of the cannons. You must have poured hours in fixing the ropes and ladders for the masts, it is very accurate. The only thing I found that's weird is the asymetry of the windows on the stern. There's this one spot you use two rows of round bricks next to each other?

The preorders window for the Wolfpack Tower is early October, so even if the Wolfpack torso is discontinued after December 2025, it gives the LEGO factories plenty of time to produce and print a batch for the set. They'd only need an extra 150,000 or so (perhaps 250,000 if 50,000 copies will be made available as with the Adventure in Transylvania set) to fulfill the orders. -

Definitely in favor of how the rocks were build.

is a happy boatswain now, with all the ruckus on a certain BDP set's page. Edit: On a more constructive note, making the order limit flexible gives the LEGO Group a better idea how much demand there is for certain types of sets.
-
And those "max available" are still the same as of now. Looks like The Thieves of Tortuga is at the moment hovering around the 30k pre-ordered sets, Adventure in Transylvania is going towards 44k sets pre-ordered.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

Its a matter of company policy. Get into corporate and change things from within? -
That's a nice rendition of a 17th-18th century ship you have there, Elephant Knight. Those side curves around the gundeck look indeed good, and the switch to the captain's cabin is pretty well done. There's place to hang a sloop on the stern, the imperial flag is quit prominent behind the poop deck, and things seem well-lighted back there. And the figure head is hilarious. Out of curiosity, I recognize a couple of the Imperial sails on the ship, but where does the rest come from?

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
GeoBrick replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It isn't LEGO who named the theme. Just sayin'. -
Now that's an expensive craft! Two printed wings? Can't remember if that cockpit came out in trans-yellow?

You assume correctly. Lets hope this braided beard won't be locked after an IP-wall for PAB. -

Didn't the VOC do quite some reaving/plundering/assault and even open warfare themselves in their time? -
That's a nice story.

[Poll] What is Your Favorite Castle Faction/Subtheme?
GeoBrick replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I never thought of the Forestmen as members of a fief/noble house. Infact quite the opposite, they are to me the epitome of the downtrodden, civilians doing their best eeking out an existence in the harsh world of nobility trying to gain advantage over one another by all means. -
I like the narrowing of the hull towards the stern. Its a faithful MOC of the original
-
What did you expect? The set was made for Hobbits. Besides, footprint-wise Bag Ends seems to occupy the same area as Barad-dûr.
-
Well, the dark blue (motor) helmet is available in PAB these days. I feel stupid now purchasing it through Bricklink last year.
-
Its a bummer there's no tanks nor helmet. That said, I'm on the lookout for dark blue airtanks as well.
-
It appears the latest batch of BAM minifigs has a pirate torso print included.

I hadn't even noticed that the King's torso has a different print. Nice catch! I hope the blue detailing around the neck continues on the back of the torso. Back in the 80s-90s LEGO was indeed more ingenuitive with how they used the more limited range of available elements -and prints. -
I notice you didn't finish the Back End yet?
