Beautiful shaping on that brig. I can imagine her skeeling through the waves. And the hull is based upon the Durmstrang ship you say? Maybe I need to download the plans of that set.

Now you only need to fill it with houses and a market square...
-
Those window designs, and the back wall lion outline... Wow! And I'm still thinking of how you managed those pillars in the walls. It looks like you managed to incorporate the 60458 axle in them, but if so I only have half an idea how you 'locked' the long tiles and the axles.

[SFF] Cat A - UFO Collective Long-Range Scout Ship

Aesthetically pleasing, swooshable, and looking like it means business. Kudo's, mate! -
That's a beauty if I ever saw one. Definitely getting VOC Batavia vibes here. I especially like the way you depicted the hull's curve with the half-stud 'pushouts', Kinda wonder if the birth of this marvel was to be seen on a white board in a shopping center room, beginning of July? '

Love the chandelier. And the table supports. Not to mention the mirror frame. And the giant shelf covers the corner nicely.

That really looks like a motley crew!

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
GeoBrick replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Fear Of Missing Out. -
A good scene (writing 'nice' feels a bit inappropriate because its also macabre). You really should lit a candle behind one of the windows though. It would increase the tension of the scene (for the dear captain at least).

Thus that is how Portals came to be! Thanks for clarifying, Kalais! Maybe the only thing that feels off is 'downward' length of the tree. All the rest is superb work.

The joke's on me now.

I can imagine someone at LEGO scratching his or head now, exclainming "what is it, though?"
-
Beautiful scene. Especially the serenity of the chimney's smoke lofting tops it off

[MOC] Japanese people transport in the snow
GeoBrick replied to the Inventor's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Quite the slippery track. The bamboo background is nicely executed, as is the use of those white technic panels with the plants attached. It helps create good-looking broken snow patches -

Yeah, there's a large number of regular sized parts in the tower. Ramps the price up. -
Has anyone updated the Caribbean Clipper's sail masts for the modern era?
GeoBrick replied to zinnn's topic in LEGO Pirates
...and could use a bit more of length... I don't own the set (unfortunately, for the sails), but that short&open cabin always annoyed me. -
Nicely detailed and shape of the cars, especially the blue one with only the windscreen. I didn't know of that little grey piece you used just in front of the windscreen. Is it a piece of cut flexible tube?

There's already enough been said about the awning (though I would have tried to create a box on the top of it where it folds into). Instead, let me applaud the structure of the pavings, and especially the details of the manhole cover on the junction.

Oh, that's cute. Are all the roof tiles connected by clips, or did you use knob plates to create that tiles half over each other effect?

[MOC] Logan's Run TV series vehicles and characters
GeoBrick replied to jp-30's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well, I wouldn't go that far. But they were most certainly iconic. I had forgotten about this show up until now. I remember viewing the series on TV in my youth. Thanks for bringing those memories up again, jp-30! (Btw, does the "30" in your username means you have to "move on" now? -
Nice-looking crew. Though I couldn't help but notice LEGO still needs to release proper-colored gloves for some of them. ;) I can't remember of the top of my head in what set they were in, but where did you get those red transparent shields from?
-
Ah, now I remember you showing modules 2 to 4. They were (and still are, I hope) gorgeous.
-
Literary a joy to behold. And I can only echo 1963maniac: where are the modules #1 to #4 to be found? Commentwise, I like how the horsed Falcon -and Lion knights seem on a collision course (I know, not really), and the sun dial is a nice detail. OTOH, the water well seems to miss a rope or chain where upon a bucket could be put?

LEGO is considering abandoning physical instructions
GeoBrick replied to danth's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I never owned a printer in my life, so sorry to hear it takes a lot of time to prepare for the building experience. With LEGO instruction pdf's, I mosttimes have problems recognizing between the black and dark brown elements. And indeed, the Mountain Fortress is a gem of a castle. I did make a few changes though, the most profound was removing the winter coat and add a bit more greenery on the foot of the castle. I never really considered putting my Forestmen in the Treehouse without changes to the huts. At the least the glass windows should be switched, and the stairs down to the ground removed and a sort of tackle put up instead. Better for defensive purposes. I wish you succes with starting your own large Castle MOC. I recently finished a small steampunk paddle boat, but it took forever to come up with solutions that made the model halfway sturdy and aesthetically pleasing (for me, that is). -
[MOC] Necromancers - Master and Apprentice

I'm very much impressed with the worn stonework on the statue's pedestal.
