  1. Make a contest out of it? As far as I can tell, sometimes there's a contest with prizes on the forum. Well, perhaps make it a part of a LEGO photography contest?
  2. Is there an option of a rotating banner? Like on a screensaver, that every so often a new banner appears at the top of the forum page? In this way you could put kind of theme-related pics for show. One day for example only recent pirate minifigs. Another day its the turn for the old school. And another time a mix of Islanders and civilians in the pirate theme.
  3. Tentacle frog... It works well in this build. Love the color accents going through the dark grey wall, and the detritus floating through the build (including Geralt's former wannabe heroes).
  4. Beautiful build here. But I'm most impressed with the dark tan/light blue cheese slope work you've done here. How many times did some fall out before you got the setup right for taking photographs?
  5. I'm unfamiliar with the backseat element of the chair. Which one is that?
  6. I was on the site when this increase occured. It happened as the Transylvania Castle almost reached 50k. I think some Bricklink employee took a couple thousand 'production unit slots' from Tortuga, and reserved them for the castle as a quick hack.
  7. I never used that dPercentagePreordered code you refer to. Infact, I never even found it on the code. I used the percentage of necessary preorders (3k is the hard minimum), and derived the maximum available number of copies from that. And then I take the percentage of pre-orders that shows on the progress bar. For example, the max. available is 100%, and if the necessary amount of pre-orders is 10% (the required 3k minimum amount of pre-orders to go in production), it follows that the max. limit is 30k. If that 10% required pre-orders percentage lowers (for instance to 7,5%, it follows the max. amount increased, in this case 100% becomes 40k. In the end the pre-order requirement percentage changed again, but by now I have forgotten the exact percentage.
  8. I'm most fond of those perilous steps up the cliff, and the angled support stick for the platform.
  9. I inspected the progress bar element in the set's page on Bricklink (right click on a page, and the lowest option in the pull-down window that shows then). Percentage of the production treshold (that's 3000 pre-orders) related to the 100% bar gives me the amount of copies available. From that number you simply do the math of percentage of sales related to the amount of copies available. IIRC, the amount of copies for Tortuga changed at least 3 times. Started with 30K, went up to 40K, and in the end went a couple thousands copies lower then 40K.
  10. I followed the number of sales for Series 5 for a while, and the last figure I have was 32753, and last time I saved those figures was June 19.
  11. I'm a bit on the fence of whether or not to use Insider points on this one. I might instead save them up for another Insider Reward next year...
  12. Beautiful detailing on the structures (including the underside of the bridge). I like how you put thought on the whole surroundings like the animal tracks or the use of those 2x2 round plates (or is it tiles?) for the palm tree trunks. Had to look twice before I discovered the cause of the bather's terror. Nice easter egg there. Perhaps the one strange use of torso is the most left minifig: bearded woman, or feminine guy?
  13. why doth i hast the feeling i forebode a reaving party?
  14. It came up in the Q&A of the BDP Series 8 Finalists Live Reveal, right at the 1:06:20 time stamp.
  15. I love those cannon bulwark walls.
  16. BDP employees have multiple times said so.
  17. A quick glance showed the Minifigure Vending Machine minifigs on the palette list.
  18. Oh my... Another canopy for the PAB list. And I still have to purchase a couple of those Blacktron Rover canopy.
  19. My thought exactly. Look what GWP LEGO did with the release of Bag End.
  20. I already feel at home. Splendid work.
  21. The most expensive? Earlier this year, this barding here for a bit over 15 €.
  22. Beautiful mix of old, new, with somewhat ramshackle accents here and there. It looks like the attack went a little late since the hanging party already passed the quays. But luckily there's a backup party coming in from the streets.
  23. Preorder for the Wolfpack Tower (if it doesn't change) starts October 6, and will supposedly run for about 2 weeks to roughly the last week of October. I'd say 9-10 weeks until the end of 2025 is plenty of time to produce&print huge amounts of minifig torso's.
  24. Why wouldn't they? It would be for a large amount of pre-ordered sets. In any case, we'll be sure once info on the finished set is made public by late September/early October, and the updated pictures show the minifigs in the set.
