  1. Ah yes. I agree that this isn't ideal. It would definitely stick out more, thanks to the gap on the bottom, than with the flat white panel. I can't think of a better solution either, so panels it is.
  2. Welcome Spacebrick! Really cool profile picture!
  3. Looks really sweet and perfect for city layouts. I also like the choice of colour. The light blue stripes give a nice romantic softness to it. Red, for example, would have been a bit too harsh for it. As for the railing in the middle section: have you considered replacing that white 2x1 wall element with two spy glass pieces (#64644) and a 2x1 tile on top? that might fit better to the corner pieces.
  4. First of all, I am sorry to hear that your home got flooded. I hope things settle for you very soon and things go well with the insurance. As for the Lego: I would only use the hydrogen peroxide when its about whitening old, yellowed bricks, since that's what the procedure is about. That yellowing is not dirt, but a discolouration due to a chemical reaction that happens over time (and/or due to exposure to UV-rays afaik). As for cleaning and drying the bricks: I use dishwashing liquid. And that works pretty fine. ABS is pretty sturdy and heat resistant (at least for plastic) and dirt can be washed/shrubbed off from it fairly easily. Drying them in the sun shouldn't be much a problem either. At least its not in the middle of summer anymore, so the sun intensity isn't quite as high. Alternatively would be drying them indoors with fans (not hairdryer!^^) for a constant stream of air. I had already been gifted a bag full of Lego technic-pieces which were stored in the garden in a plastic bag for a couple of years and they all could be cleaned nicely with the method described above. Though it can be a pain to get old, dried soil from all the tiny cavities! Soaking in clean water helps
  5. Hi ben. Welcome to Eurobricks! Classic space is awesome. Good taste!
  6. The greebling on top looks really good. You can tell there is a lot of effort been put into. The interiors are pretty nicely made too. I miss though a coherent overview of the complete interior, but I assume the rooms are all interconnected. The forced perspective panels are not great though. It would look better without them. And the underside of the ship is way too clean. Why should it look less ramshackle there? Does space debris and TIE fighter blasters only hit the top side? At least it has studs there. The price... ah well. When it goes into the mid- and high three digit regions it stops getting quite silly. Even more so if you take the meagre Minifig line-up into account. And a concluding thought: The MF being an iconic ship aside - if you invest that money into some regular sets, or even bricklink you can build a whole city layout instead.
  7. Ermm... yes, yes of course...
  8. Another brilliant MOC - as simple as that! Its really cute. In a very weird way. Lovely proportions and detailing on him. You just want to hug it while it zaps through earth-force armies.
  9. Google pictures is also quite useful. And free as well. Wordpress would be another free option.
  10. Hello Carter, welcome to Eurobricks! See you around!
  11. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks! This is really beautiful. Lovely arranged, lots of detailing without making it crowded - and a wonderfully warm colour palette. You really caught a feel of serenity with your build. I had a look at your mini modulars on your Flickr page as well and they look very good too. There is some serious skill involved. Things just look "right". See you around here!
  12. Aah, now all this makes more sense!
  13. Just saw your recent posts with the photos. Looking excellent! Especially the ones with the warm, analogue-like look. Very 60s
  14. Awesome! I haven't watched Pacific Rim, so I can't tell much about how similar it looks to anything there, but I really like its look. Red and grey is also a very strong combination. Very industrial heavy machinery, but so dynamic in its proportions and pose. Excellent!
  15. Super impressive level of detailing combined with an elegant, organic looking design. Its a piece of art. Splendid work!
  16. Ah yes, of course. It gives quite a lot thanks to the pull of the strings. And two of them is a significant load on the neck...
  17. I showed your latest video a couple of friends and they love it! Now I wonder if 2 strings would be possible as well...
  18. Excellent review that ticks all the boxes regarding quality of photos, writing and balanced reviewers perspective. Can hardly be done any better!
  19. Very scenic and expressive at the same time. Peacefully, harmonic and majestic. Just wonderful how the colours work together: I squint my eyes and they blur into very natural patterns. Really sweet As for the trees: the blade-pieces work better than the hair. This said, I didn't notice the hair-pieces, until I had a closer look. Then I realized they are everywhere! So - yeah, they seem to work in a way. The whole composition just works very well for me. Great work.
  20. I love it! A superb combination of menacing and comical with a perfect oldschool B-Movie feel. This one is going to be a box-office hit!
  21. Hello and welcome! There is quite a lot of Star Wars fans around here. I'm a bit of a fan as well. Enjoy the forum!
  22. Looks amazing! The tower is nicely derelict and the top level looks very good as well, but the real winners are the waterfall and the rocks. Nicely organic, flowing look with a lot of textures on the rockwall. Just great!
  23. Welcome to Eurobricks! I hope you enjoy it here.
  24. Very nice! Elegant and thoughtfully built (love their modular superstructures!). They really look like serious business with their smooth, yet imposing lines. Very good work!
  25. This is really quite something! So many wonderful details. This is really a MOC to fall in love with! It has such a happy and laid back feel to it.
