  1. Outstanding! After 30 minutes of observing the images maybe the front benders are not 100% consistent with rest of the panel work. This might be only me watching 2d photos instead of the real life build. I would not be criticizing unless this build was this perfect :D Btw have you ever tried building imaginary car models? I bet you could shape them beautifully. Please build more!
  2. I think biggest problem with motorized supercars is not the speed or performance but batteryboxes and electric motors in places where real life car would't have those. Atleast for me it's a huge turnoff when pf engine is placed lets say behind drivers seat which is just not realistic. Even if the electric motor was placed where the real car has its engine it feels wrong and unrealistic. (Maybe only exception could be if the Lego car was modeled after electric car :)) For me it's hard to see why anyone would want a remote controlled and simultaneously realistic Lego car because adding pf elements makes the model instantly unrealistic. I think Lego supercars should be 100% mechanical and in some way teach younger people how the mechanics and drivetrain of a real car work.
  3. I'd like if the car was white and had black masking/camo -stickers :)
  4. Not dead but in hibernation because I'm working and trying to finish my school simultaneously to become an architect. My estimate is this X-wing takes one more year to be finished. I'll be back with new photos later ;)
  5. I used quite a few of 61069 in my Siege Tank. Maybe not the most creative use but to give the tank enough interesting shapes.
  6. Outstanding creations! I'd enjoy extra photos with better sense of scale (people or some common items next to models)
  7. @mahjga: Your setup and photo are a nice example of "it's the quality of the light not the camera"! @MaxSupercars: Primes lenses cause photographer to use their brain more as you can't just stand still and play with zoom but you need to actively think about the angle and distance where you shoot from. Any thinking done before pressing the shutter release yields in better pictures. I'd like to see more of final presentation combined with "making of" type shots of the setup used.
  8. Hi, here is my really simple setup which I used to photograph my siege tank moc. Main light is sun behind window which is softened through a transparent curtain. Secondary light is a bare 25W bulb to simulate cannon fire. In my opinion single most important factor is the quality of light used, many things can be post processed but the softness or hardness of the light remains. Sunlight softened through curtain original .jpg file from the camera as you can see I overexposured the curtain for easier postprocessing and to capture details in the shadow areas postprocessed raw from the camera (d700 + af-s 50/1.4)
  9. Heh, and your model was inspiration for me to continue on this! :D Yes! I will definitely go for worn out look. I will make model first with flat colour to see what parts I need in special colour since my part collection is 99% grey and red ;D
  10. Hello, a minor update. My building speed is slow I have too much work :) I have been making landing gears and engine prototypes.
  11. Beautiful design, not easy lines to capture!
  12. You are free to use music I have made in your future videos, just include the artist name or url:
  13. Hi, the rear harpoon should have vertical movement range as shown in this photo. You indeed need to recenter the rear joystick. (disconnect the two 16 teeth gears under the pilots seat and move joystick and harpoon to their middle positions) Thanks for building this model! X-Wing is on hold atm. due to my work :)
  14. Nice and well organized Milan, I like that brick wall too :) Maybe add another spotlight to other end of table?
  15. Maybe make those "cylinder housings" separate single parts so user can build the engine to have any cylinder amount?
  16. Best looking technic truck I've seen. Maybe it's the colour combination that works for me. Great job!
  17. Nice build Richter! Also nice opel Polo-Freak :) Richter: do you call Knight Rider Ritariässä also in Estonia? (I'm from Finland) "Tervetuloa forumille!" :)
  18. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102442&st=0 Thanks Sariel!
  19. This size should work, I don't know code for bricklink.
  20. i cannot measure the rubber bands right now but i would say the ones i used in my model were 3x3 studs. (3 studs in diameter)
  21. http://rebrickable.com/mocs/drakmin/rebel-snowspeeder#parts_list Here is the part list, it seems you can get a bit over 90% of the parts used for around 100 euros. Blakbird: Thanks a lot for doing this review! Feels strange to see a familiar model on other peoples photos ;D
  22. Slightly off topic since I don't have any help to offer but I have learnt myself to use ctrl+s / ctrl+shift+s depending on software to save always with a new filename. These kind of files take pretty much no space from modern hard drives. It's nice to have many revisions of models even if you have backup system set up.
  23. It also makes the building and designing more interesting. Atleast if you have done 100% Technic for a long time :)
  24. Aah finally! Preview pages seem really interesting in the video!
  25. Really good entry! If you still decide to work on it I would suggest trying to make the truck cabin taller if possible. Cabins proportions are the most unrealistic aspect of this otherwise perfect model. Good job!
