I really do hope the upcoming Classic Transparent Bricks (11013) will have some nice parts and color options to MOC/Mod space themes with. Including classic colors like Trans Yellow, Dark Blue, and perhaps some neons as well. Some trans-yellow 1x2 and 1x4 bricks would be at the very least be a throwback to Classic Space.

I really hope it's not going to be the norm from here on out. But I can understand it in this set's case as it's originally based on a book just like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings are from Books originally. Even moreso, this set is actually depicting the book itself as if it's a page telling the actual story on it. Wizard of Oz were flesh tones as well, so this seems to be a similar case. The Hans Christian Andersen set was a bit more generic. Christmas Carol also has been in a lot of seasonal movies/plays, much moreso then the fairytales of H C A. Of course Disney adaptations of HCA stories like Little Mermaid have been using flesh tones, based on the media.

LEGO Sci-Fi 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Classic theme will have a set that might be of use to Sci-Fi as well : 11013 Creative Transparent Bricks , probably around 350-450 pieces based on the price. Certainly hope it'll have some of the brighter neon colors, and trans-yellow as well. -
2021 will continue the "Space" 3in1 sets with a Mining Mech, so there's still signs LEGO cares about non-licensed space.

LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think LEGO incorportating other themes like Space and Pirates into Creator is great for sure. As for summer predictions, I'd almost expect a Castle, by that time IDEAS Blacksmith Shop should be on shelves , and Barracuda Bay / Pirate Ship were a similar situation. City is going to focus more on buildings/streets again , which possibly leaves some more room in Creator 3-in-1 for other themes. I wouldn't rule out an expansion set to the 2019 Petshop/2020 Toy Shop layout however in summer. -
LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just looked it up, and 2 previously unknown sets are apparently "Space Mining Mech" and "Safari Wildlife House" , listed as March release. I loved the Underwater Robot in 2019, this Space Mech has a bit higher price, so probably around ~300 pieces. I assume the Wildlife House is either of the typical Tree House or Outdoors variants. -
Coming right after the more remembered Mtron/Blacktron2/Ice Planet lines there were still space themes during 1996-1999 , 1996 Exploriens 1997 UFO 1998-1999 Insectoids 2001 Life on Mars 1995 Unitron and 1997 Roboforce were North America only. Star Wars certainly was way more prominent after 1999, there was no new Space theme in 2000, and 2001 Life on Mars was quite different, and there were no Space themes from 2002-2006 again. Star Wars prequel trilogy was way more into the spotlight from 1999-2006. 2007-2013 saw yearly Space themes again, 2014 had LEGO Movie Space sets, and 2015 had the focus on the Star Wars episode 7. 2016-2018 had Nexo Knights, 2019 had LEGO Movie 2. Castle and Space both ended in their traditional ways after 2013.

Almost sounds like LEGO is weaving in elements of Classic themes into Ninjago seasons now. With 2020 Starting with sci-fi / Space (like insectoids/neon parts) / Nexo Knights, then Fantasy/Castle, and now Islanders? Of course with a twist, but sounds interesting.

TeriXeri replied to cfcra's topic in General LEGO Discussion

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I hope so, I just hope they don't corner themselves too much into LEGO City Adventures for 2021 (Season 3 isn't confirmed but not denied either), as in Repeating the same characters. But there certainly are still some unseen interesting characters that could be made into minifigs like Shirley Keeper, could easily fit in a street with a garbage can. -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Maybe not full roads in each set but I can certainly expect expansion/connectivity elements like perhaps sidewalks, traffic signs, or parking area. A sidewalk doesn't need to be complicated, as seen the last City townhouse of 2010 or 3-in-1 sets, -
Personally don't like the use of Fleshy characters as a seasonal GWP, but I know it's based on a book/movie so I can see people will enjoy it, set itself looks nice.

Ninjago is a very big marketed theme still, with Legacy going strong, I don't see it end anytime soon. Even if the main sets would end, Legacy alone could continue sets for at least 5 years if they wanted to. Legacy is big enough to have it's own Magazine line, so I sort of consider it as it's own theme seperate from the new Ninjago. Or perhaps more like one of the main branches, like Creator Expert has yearly Modulars/Vehicles/Fairground Rides which before 18+ were under the Creator Expert theme name.

Lego Ideas Support Thread - Historical/Castle
TeriXeri replied to leafan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't think a Blacksmith would automaticly rule out a proper Castle set unless it's a 2-in-1 build like Barracuda Bay.- 532 replies

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
List is here, before we start posting individual sets over and over : https://www.promobricks.de/lego-city-2021-neuheiten/109017/ 60290-60292 are part of the My City line, 60304 is the My City road expansion, so certainly more summer sets could be expected using streets/buildings to connect to it. First thoughts, I think it's good to see more location sets in City, I'm interested how the Creator 3-in-1 buildings will integrate with this. Also would be nice to see an Xtra set with traffic signs, even if it's a blank one with a sticker sheet. 2017 had this set 40170 which basicly evolved into Xtra, so Xtra and City are certainly linked to eachother, 853921 Xtra Stickers very City focused as well. -
Cool car idea and design Another recent part that could be used for green or blue cars Green was in 2019 Dragon Boat Race set, and blue in 2018 Unikingdom Fairground set Basicly the unprinted version of the Sonic set. https://brickset.com/parts/design-18051

Classic Space needed a movie twice to appear again as well in 2014 and 2019, and the Exo Suit was made via IDEAS. LEGO knows that Space is still somewhat relevant, see 2019 City Space and 2020 3-in-1 Rover sets, and those were much closer to Classic Space then Star Wars.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Now I really wonder if some driveway is incorporated in future sets like the Family House and Crook's Hideout raid, especially the hideout which is listed as a €99.99 set. 2013 Helicopter Arrest had a garage , ok it was a really basic building, but the set also came with 3 vehicles, and that was a 352 piece / $50 set. -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I don't mind named characters , but I suppose because Duke/Freya/Harl are like the main show characters, they did appear the most. I just hope for 2021 if they return, will have completely new outfits, as other Action themes do that as well, Nexo Knights had completely different armor/printing for each of the 3 years. On the other hand, making a unique figure in every set isn't great either, especially if a figure only appears in a large set (like Poppy Star). Maybe I'm just nitpicking and should swap heads/hair/helms etc more if I get duplicates, especially Duke Detain's sunglasses head is still fairly generic and useable, in the Elite Police set it might even be someone else, as he has a helmet/visor on that set. I don't even mind same the repeat of torso/leg combos for the more generic people like the 2018 Miners, 2019 Space People, and 2020 Divers, or fire/police/medics etc. -
Certainly cool shoes, I wouldn't put pieces on the studs, but I do like the use of fairly basic LEGO colors.

Has the LEGO group released too much 18+ sets this year?
TeriXeri replied to JintaiZ's topic in General LEGO Discussion
LEGO Movie 1 released during my no-LEGO period, so excuse me. I never watched it (yet), maybe I might now. Movie came out during my no LEGO period (2001-2016) , never got around to watching it. The reason I thought unrelated was because it reminded me of this Bricks in movies website ( https://bricks.inmovi.es/ ) which collects movie stills of Movies/TV shows with LEGO in them , and there are multiple of them where LEGO is just a background/side decor object. -

It's some picture from a movie of an attic with LEGO in the background , probably unrelated to the movie itself. -
