  1. Ok, missed that.
  2. I wonder if those Winter Village sets will fall under the 18+ line, as the sets have been labeled 12+, where most other Creator Expert sets were 16+. Maybe they'll just get a new branding/box art style and remain at 12+, but nothing has confirmed that the Creator Expert label would be gone completely. Old Trafford used the 18+ font, but was a Creator Expert set and 16+ Still, if the branding changes to something like "Winter Village Collection" I doubt a re-release would happen.
  3. What I'd like to see in 8-wide, single-sold cars : Ferrari Testarossa Toyota Hilux Volkswagen Golf 1 GTI Lamborghini Diablo BMW M5
  4. Buying from non-EU to EU , goods are subject to 16-27% VAT (varies per EU country), if the cost amounts to €10-€22 (varies per EU country) And then added rules if it's over €150 (import tax, customs fees), and then the 16-27% VAT is calculated over the total. I did some calculations for my country, buying Castle Lowenstein in 2019, from Bricklink would end up at $296 , instead of $200 (with the free shipping they had) for me due to the customs clearance, import duties and VAT, since the base price was over €150.
  5. This doesn't just apply to your own children, but also having something like childhood LEGO at another place, and having visiting younger kids play with that LEGO. Certainly have seen damaged/eroded pieces as a result. Ever since I rebuilt the pile of LEGO mostly back into sets, it's been off limit from play, as it's more of a historic collection of LEGO and it's not only my childhood sets, but older as well, pieces being 20-50 years old by now. But still, the rebuilding of sets, even if not 100% complete, missing, damaged pieces, did get me back into LEGO. I didn't buy any LEGO from 2001-2016, so there's a big time gap between my current collection and the older, so right now it's seperate.
  6. If the DA is anything like the 2011 version, or bigger (more buildings), certainly might be interested. I normally don't collect Harry Potter, but buildings similar scale to the 2011 set would fit nicely with other lego buildings at what I call "Creator 3-in-1 scale", smaller then modulars but still nice buildings.
  7. I hope not, I know most EU webshops already include VAT in their prices, but when it's from outside the EU and over €22 (for netherlands), I have to pay another 21% on top of that. I hope there'll be something like a generic VAT setting which is calculated on all listed objects from a seller, so a €100 set would not be €121 after checkout (if bought in same country), I know US has different rules where VAT applies on top of the purchase, but in EU it's included in the price. I don't remember Ebay having extra VAT either, as I bought something from the UK in 2018, and it was just the list price + shipping, and then converted Pound to Euro, no VAT listed anywhere, even with the VAT difference of 21% vs 20% Maybe those sellers were registered as exception from VAT, I haven't used Ebay a lot, especially not in recent 2 years.
  8. I think within the EU, only the difference between countries would apply. I buy some LEGO from Amazon.de, especially before Amazon.nl existed, and now since they lowered their VAT from 19 to 16% , the difference on checkout is more noticeable (from 2% to 5% VAT difference with NL 's 21%) But buying from the UK after 2021, would add 21% over the total if it's over €22 I believe that's how it would work.
  9. Still, for bricklink and small purchases , for now, before the full brexit (31 December 2020?) buying something from the UK is already expensive compared to a few years ago due to the shipping cost really have increased quite a bit.
  10. Last year, those AFOL designer program sets shipped from the US, so would cost a lot more then the advertised price. Sets over €150, would apply Customs Clearance Charges (€13 for PostNL for example), and then another 4.7% import duties for Toys, and then another 21% over the total for VAT. Sets over €22 would still apply 21% VAT. (numbers apply from Outside EU to The Netherlands)
  11. Sales tax varies a lot per country (and per product type) Germany recently lowered it from 19% to 16% recently, that's why Brickset's Euro prices are weird , and the German LEGO Store as well. For example a €100 set is € 97,47 in Germany now. Within the European Union, there are special rules, where VAT is based on the Delivery adress, so buying from Germany still would apply Netherlands VAT (21%) in the end. Importing goods from Outside an EU country will add a lot of added calculations like Customs Clearance Fee (for the shipping company), Import Duties, and VAT on top of the total, varies per country.
  12. Beside those 3 Elite Police sets + Air Race set coming to Europe in August, there are still 2 City sets remaining from lists : 60269 - Town 60271 - Town D2C But at this point, it wouldn't surprised me if sets were moved, since the summer City sets don't even have a release date in the US (Coming Soon), and multiple other City sets are on backorder/out of stock. As for people pack theme, a Winter variant would be nice, and even make some sense, as the Advent Calendar doesn't have any normal town people, just LEGO City Adventures characters (that are visible on the box, not a spoiler) The Ski Resort set for 2019 came out in September, so if we'd see a winter people pack, it'd probably be October/November with taking account delays.
  13. I just wonder how many current sets will end up at retailers. In Europe, a set like 70847-1: Good Morning Sparkle Babies! was only sold for about 3 months (August - October 2019) , one of the shortest lived recent sets. While many of the first wave sets are still available at 30-50% off across multiple retailers. Certainly is an example in how different sets can end up, due to different production numbers and distribution. Based on the way Wave 1 Hidden Side sets are still widely sold, at discount, the production numbers might have been a lot higher compared to wave 2. If there will be a Wave 4 at LEGO.com only , I can understand it, they might sell less overall, but also have to produce less over-stock for retailers. In the current production situation, especially for North America, some themes already released later then planned. Backorder Issues for sets sold in Europe are less now, but they still happened.
  14. I agree, my country got their first stores in 2019, but the main store is also in one of the busiest tourism/shopping streets in the country so not very social-distance-like right now, and I don't even know if BAM would be open with such a busy place.
  15. 71722 is the better set imo, one of the best fantasy locations, I'd say even better then Jestro's Lava Lair when it comes to recent sets. The Dragon isn't a bad set, but has it's flaws with posability and has less play then the Dungeon imo. Still, the Dragon set has a decent part of the Boardgame area if completionist, but Wu's Dragon is a nice much cheaper dragon as well. True, once you get it into position, it does look great on a shelf or higher display point, I just find it not so playable as the tail is so loose, and the legs aren't very posable due to the weight affecting the normal ball joints (not the ratcheted kind).
  16. A new Space Police would be nice, with a little bit less technic panels, and maybe more angled plates instead. Even Dragonball Super has a Space Police (also called Galactic Patrol / Galaxy Patrol ), that go after villains on planets.
  17. Hopefully we get some smaller sets as a result, maybe an easier way to get some of the great villain figures.
  18. They can do both, Star Wars never stopped in 2007-2013. Most sets during that time were Clone Wars related, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to make sets on their shows again, while also making in-house Space themes, at least when there are no new movies yet. But maybe the change to Disney lowered the chance of Space themes as it's just been LEGO Movie 1+2 as space themes since 2014.
  19. €50 , €65 and €140 here, boat having the worst price per part, but it has a bigfig I suppose. But still my opinion on those sets is tough, since it remains exclusive , with 0% discounts.
  20. Oh you're right, normally I look parts up at bricklink, this time I used brickset and they only show sets of that particular color if you click on that item instead of further clicking to the design number Red in 1 set, Black in 5 sets, Medium Azur in 1 set.
  21. I might still get the Castle when the price drops a bit more, but I wonder how low the total production on it will be if they know it'll retire already. Wave 1 seemed to have very high production numbers as prices were generally low , also no covid affecting factories at that time. Still, it's sad to see a theme retire in less then 2 years, when it's first wave of sets is still being sold, even Nexo or Chima didn't have that as they had 5 waves, not 3.
  22. I'd just love to see some spaceships (that aren't Star Wars) again that use a lot of angled pieces. Sith TIE Fighter™ (75272) was 2020 set using a lot of triangle plates, even while that set seems like it was made years ago, but I'd love to see those angled plates utilized in some in-house set, possible in the color white or grey. So far has only been seen in black or red. Anyhow, as far as Big Bang themes go, I hope it'll be either Historic, or Spaceship focused, and not so much wheeled vehicles or mechs.
  23. The weekly events haven't worked for a long time now so there'll never be a full game experience, even with a working save, because the content servers are offline.
